Darnell reached over turning off the blaring alarm clock. 6:00 am flashed on the clock indicating it was time for her and Don to get up so they could get the kids up and ready for school.

Like any other day, it astonished Darnell how Don could sleep through the loud blaring alarm and not move an inch. Darnell got up turning on the room's lights before going to Don's side of the bed to wake him up.

Despite his loud snoring and morning breath, Darnell looked down at Don who was laying on his back in admiration. To her he looked better than any man she ever laid eyes on.

She leaned down planting kisses over his face rubbing on his chest. He moved around a bit before his long eye lashes fluttered allowing her to see those dark brown eyes of his.

"Baby it's time to get up." She cooed to him continuing to rub his body.

Once he was fully awake he wrapped his muscular arms around Darnell's waste pulling her down back into the bed gaining a scream and giggles from her.

"Doooonnn." She huffed.

He ignored her tucking his face into her neck.

"We gotta get up and get the kids ready for school."

"Hush woman." He said after giving her butt a love tap. "Just lay here with your man before we gotta get up."

"We just did that all night."

Darnell gave in allowing Don's big hands to rub lazy circles into the back of her thighs.

"Ten minutes tops Mr. Taylor."

"Mhm" he mumbled into her neck getting comfortable in the bed again.

Once the couple was fully awake Don made his way to the bathroom to take his morning shower while Darnell got little Don and Kaydence up.

She left their bedroom heading to Kaydence's princess room to wake her up. She turned on the room light seeing Kay spread out over the bed. She went over to her rubbing her stomach brushing her hair back trying to wake her up.

Once she opened her eyes she smiled. "Good morning princess. It's time to get up baby."

"Why mommy?" She whined, Darnell laughed. Kaydence was like this every morning. It took her a minute to wake up but, once she did she had so much energy like any other 7 year old.

She picked her up out of the bed kissing her cheek.

"Because you gotta get up and go to school. Don't you want to see your friends and your teacher Ms. Kierstin?"

"I guess mommy."

"That's what I like to hear. Now let's go get ready."

She put Kay down on her feet, leaving her to make up her bed while she got her clothes out. Darnell went into Kay's closet looking around for a second before putting an outfit together.

When she had a full outfit picked out she laid it out on the bed for her. She looked at the outfit once again satisfied with was she had.

"Alright princess let's go get washed up."

Darnell didn't have to worry about getting little Don up. Don usually did the same routine with him. Once they got both of the kids up they met in their master bathroom to get them washed up.

Mom and daughter walked down the hall to the master suit and into the bathroom meeting Don and little Don at the sink. As soon as little Don saw Darnell he got excited running up to her.

He was in nothing but his boxers and muscle shirt. He still didn't like sleeping with clothes on like his mother. He would go to bed with a full set of pajamas on and sometime during the night he would strip out of most of his clothes leaving him in nothing but his underclothes.

Don and Darnell was proud that they got him potty trained early. Darnell cried the first time he went to the bathroom without her assistance claiming her baby was growing up too fast.

Around that time Darnell caught baby fever but as soon as it came it left again once little Don began to run around the house screaming his head off.

"Goodmornin mommy!"

She picked him up kissing his cheek.

"Good morning my handsome prince. How did you sleep baby?"

"Good."

"That's great handsome."

The family began to wash up for the day. They stood in front of the large vanity and began to brush their teeth. Don helping little Don and Darnell helping Kay. After they washed their faces, Darnell headed down stairs to get breakfast cooked while Don got the children ready.

Darnell pulled out the Ego Waffles, link sausage, and eggs. She popped the waffles in the toaster while she cooked the sausages then the eggs on the stove. When everything was done she made everyone's plates and put them on the table.

Just as she placed the last plate on the table everyone came down the stairs dressed. Kaydence in her olive green skort with a white t shirt tucked into it and her all white Air Forces on her feet.

Little Don had on a pair of black shorts, black and white stripped V neck, and his all black huaraches.

Don in a pair of red joggers and a muscle shirt showing off his tattooed body with his house shoes on his feet, came down the stairs last.

They all sat down at the table in their regular seats. They thanked Darnell for they breakfast and dug in after they all held hands saying grace.

They made small talk talking about what they would be doing during school and daycare. When everyone was done Don and little Don cleaned up the kitchen while Kaydence and Darnell made it back upstairs to finished getting ready.

They made it to the bathroom where Kaydence sat at Darnell's vanity so she could do her hair.

Kay's wild curls had grown over the years leaving Darnell to try to give her a hairstyle to manage her wild mane. She pulled out the leave in conditioner, brush, and comb. She detangled her hair and divided it into two sections giving her two French braids that laid down her back.

When she was done she let Kay head down the stairs with her brother and father who where probably watching tv in the den.

Darnell looked over at the clock checking the time. She had a good hour before it was time to leave. She was the last one to get ready like any mother day. Thankfully it didn't take that long to get ready.

She jumped in the shower rinsing her body with her body wash. When she was done she dried off and placed her robe back on heading into the room to get dressed. She pulled her clothes and shoes out of the closet after putting on her under garments.

She put on her outfit which was something simple: a sleeveless multi-colored maxi dress and a pair of nude sandals. She brushed her hair up into a messy ponytail and kept her face clean from any makeup.

Over the years Don had gotten used to seeing Darnell around the house freshened face and lived her like that more than anything else. He appreciated when she got all dolled up but if it was up to him he would prefer her bare. In more ways then one.

When she was done, she cleaned up the mess that was in the bathroom and headed downstairs after grabbing her purse. Don was now completely dressed and had the kids ready. He made sure that they had their book bags and lunch packed up and their homework signed. They where just waiting on Darnell to come down stairs do they could be on their way.

Don looked up after hearing the rattling of the charms that where on Darnell's purse. He looked at his wife in admiration admiring how her dress complimented her body. After having little Don, Darnell's body key some of the baby weight mostly in her butt and thighs which Don loved. He got up for the couch meeting Darnell wrapping his hands around her waist.

"You look fine ass hell in that dress ma." He growled in her ear. His hands went lower finding their way to her behind.

Darnell giggle at Don's antics.

"Thanks baby."

He allowed her to back up from his embrace and kissed her on the lips giving them a couple of pecks. Dirty thoughts went through his mind. He knew once they dropped the kids off at school he was coming straight back to house to have some fun with his wife.

It seemed like the longer they where married the freakier Darnell had become. He wasn't complaining though.

The family made their way out of the house into the garage allowing Darnell to lock up. Don opened the passenger side for Darnell and she got in while Don helped Kay and little Don inside.

Darnell turned around making sure Kaydence had her seatbelt on as Don buckled little Don in.

"Y'all heave everything right?"

"Yes mam." They answered as Don got into the driver seat hitting the garage opener and backing out and driving down the driveway.

The drive to Kay's school wasn't that long. Don and Darnell couldn't complain when it came down to where Kay was going to school. Her school was known for great academics and art. Her teacher- Mrs. Kierstin had a plethora of diplomas and certificates of classes she attended that taught her different was she could teach each her students.

Darnell being a teacher herself, made her focus on things other parents didn't , but once she met Kierstin she got a great vibe from her and knew Kaydence was in great hands.

When Don pulled up to Thurdgood Elementary, Darnell got out of the car and opened the door for Kaydence while Don turned the car off and got out himself.

Darnell helped Kay out of the car helping her out on her book bag.

"I want you to have a great day princess. When you get home I want a good report and I want you to tell me two things you learned today okay?" She looked at Kaydence who was holding onto her hand swinging it back and forth.

"Okay mommy."

Darnell smiled at her baby girl. She was growing up so fast. It seemed like it was just like yesterday that Don was dropping her off to her class. That once little one year old baby was now a intelligent and sweet second grader.

"Great mommy loves you okay."

"I love you too mommy."

Darnell kissed her on the cheek allowing Kay to kiss her back.

"I gotta go mommy before I'm late."

"Okay okay okay."

Kay let go of Darnell's hand and took Don's as they walked into the school. Don walked her down the hall until they made it to Room 62. Don watched on as other parents were dropping off their children. The noise in the room was loud as it began to fill up with Kay's classmates.

When they made it into the room, Don removed Kay's book bag and placed it into her cubby whole while Kay went off to talk to her friends.

He took out her pink glittery folder that had her name written in bold letter across it and placed it in the tray with the rest of the children's folders. Before he left he made sure to wave at Kay's teacher saying good morning.

"Kaydence." He called out to her getting her attention. She ran over to him. He pulled up his jogger on his waist before squatting down to her level.

"Alright I'm leaving. Daddy love you and I want  you to have a great day at school okay?"

"Yes daddy."

"Aight." They did their "secret" hand shake that ended with a kiss and hug.

"Aight baby girl."

"Bye daddy."

With that Don left heading back to his truck. Darnell was in the passenger seat talking to little Don as he went on and on about who knows.

"Mommy she tried to hold my hand while we was playing on the playground."

"Really?"

"Uh huh and I told her I didn't say she could hold my hand. You have to ask first. So since I didn't let her hold my hand she said I'm not her friend anymore." Said sounding a little sad.

"That's alright baby. If she doesn't want to be your friend because of that she wasn't your friend in the first place."

"Your right mommy."

Don and Darnell chuckled.

The next stop was to drop little Don and daycare. Of course he was attending Kid's Academy, the same daycare Darnell use to work at.

To her that was the best daycare in their city. Not just cause she had worked there, but because she knew their curriculum and teaching style and plus she knew her baby was going to be well taken of since she knew the staff first hand.

It took them less then 20 minutes to gets there. After Don parked they made their way inside, signing him in and doing their everyday routine. After saying good but to little Don the two made their way to the house.

They didn't have much to do today. Don was going to the club for a while to do some paper work and Darnell had somethings to do for the recreation center before they had to go pick up the kids from school and daycare.

Today was going to be a long day but nothing they didn't do everyday. They both were content with their lives. Being a family and having a family is what they wished for all their lives.

What else could they ask for?
