A week had gone by with little communication between Don and Darnell. Darnell was trying to give Don space to cool off and Don was trying to figure out if he still wanted to be married to Darnell. If it weren't for the kids, they probably wouldn't have been speaking at all.

Even though they felt the distance between them growing they decided to go ahead and celebrate their anniversary. Don had already informed all his employees that he would be out of town and Darnell did the same.

Right now they we're standing in line at the port waiting to be let onto the ship. Don had picked a seven day cruise on the Regent Seven Seas that would take them to several different islands including the Bahamas, Barbados, and Dominican Republic.

Little was said from either one of them. Neither of them knew what to say. Don wanted to know was Darnell fucking Carter and Darnell wanted to know if Don gave a fuck about her cause he surely wasn't acting like it.

He had ignored her the whole morning when he went to pick her up from the house. He acknowledged the kids giving them hugs and kisses goodbye since they would be staying with Yameer and Naree while they were gone.

Don helped Darnell put her suit cases in the car and then they were off with only a limited amount of words being exchanged between the two.

Ten minutes passed until they were allowed on the boat. Once on they went to find their room. Down a long hallway room 314 was on one of the middle decks. It was in a great place which wasn't too far away from the main attractions like the pool, spa, restaurants, and theater.

When they got to the room Don opened the door and let Darnell in first. Walking into the suite they were in awe. They couldn't deny that the space was beautiful.

"You did good Don."

Don didn't say much just replying with a "yeah". He came into the room placing their bags in the bedroom area. Laying down the luggage, he went into the bathroom closing the door behind him.

Darnell rolled her eyes at his attitude before pulling her out her phone to call Naree to tell her that they got on boat safely.

After a couple of rings Naree answered.

"Hey girl."

"Hey." Darnell replied tiredly.

"What's wrong with you. Your supposed to be happy. You with your man for a week with no bad ass kids to watch after."

Darnell laughed lightly. "I know it's just Don got this damn attitude, like it came out of no where. He doesn't say shit to me, look at me or acknowledge me at all."

Darnell threw her purse down falling back onto the couch, kicking her feet up on the arm of the chair.

"All I can say is that y'all need to talk about whatever it is that is bothering him."

"Yeah. We're suppose to be going to this captains dinner tonight so I'll talk to him then."

"Okay. But cheer up babes. You guys are acting like y'all about to get a divorce not celebrating an anniversary!"

"I hear you." She blew out a hard breath. "Kiss my babies for me. I call you later tonight to tell them goodnight."

"Alright. Love you."

"Love you too."

A couple of hours had passed when it was time for Darnell to start getting ready for their dinner. She stood in the mirror fixing her dress. She tried her best to look good for Don even though she wasn't feeling him right now.

Her long hair laid down her back in its curly wavy state. Pulling down the hem of her 2 piece floral set, Darnell checked over her body for the last time before leaving the bathroom. Her makeup was flawless with bold shimmery pink eyes and lips with a light contour.

She sprayed on a sweet perfume before sliding on and lacing up her black sandals. Looking over she watched as Don laid across the bed shirt less one hand behind his head and the other across his sculpted abs holding the tv remote.

"I'm ready." Darnell stated. Don glanced up looking at her from head to toe before getting up from the bed. He stood walking over to the mirror grabbing his ironed shirt placing it on.

Darnell couldn't lie and say Don didn't look fine as hell. His cutoff Levi shorts where paired with an all white short sleeve Gucci button down. He buttoned it up but, left a couple of the buttons open at the top exposing his tattooed chest.

His white Gucci ace tennis shoes adorned his feet as he slid a single Cuban chain over his head onto his neck. He brushed over his waves and beard before looking over at Darnell.

"Aight lets go."

Darnell walked out of the suite first, Don holding the door her, him leaving out behind her. They made their way to the dining hall and waited to be seated.

It didn't take long for them to get to their table. The grand room was dimly lit, each table was decorated with a small table lamp, covered in a white table cloth, and a vase with a single rose sat in the middle.

The two looked over the menu at the different selections they could choose from. After a while their waitress came to the table to take their orders.

"What can I get for you guys this afternoon?" Darnell smiled at the blonde hair waitress that held a big crest smile and wore all black.

"Can I have the 8 oz steak fillet with broccoli and cream spinach." Darnell handed over her menu once she was done, sipping on her lemon water afterwards.

"And you sir?"

Don's eyes roamed his menu for a second before speaking up.

"Uhh I'll have the surf and turf with the steak and grilled salmon."

"And your side?"

"Mashed potatoes and let me get another double shot of Hennessy."

"Alright I'll put in you guys orders and I'll be right back with your drink."

The couple was alone again and so was the silence. Darnell played with the diamond tennis bracelet Don gifted her with for their two year anniversary.

Completely over the silence treatment from Don, Darnell finally decided to call him out about it.

"Are you mad at me?"

Sarcastically Don replied to her. "Naw. Why would you think that?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's that you haven't said more than ten words to me since we been here or that you haven't been to the centre in a week."

"I've been busy." He picked up his cup of Hennessy taking a long sip of the dark liquor.

"To busy to talk to your wife?"

Don's eyebrows raised. "Oh so now your my wife? How could you be my wife when you don't even wear your wedding ring? How could you be my wife when we don't even live in the same house?"

"That's your fault. I don't wear my ring because you fucked up." Darnell said pointing to Don eyes filled with agitation. How dare he try to turn this shit around on her when he was the one who fucked up their marriage. "Your not in the house because you went out and fucked another bitch, not me."

Don kissed his teeth waiving her off. "Whatever."

"Don't fucking brush me off Dillon. I'm trying to fix whatever problem we have so we can enjoy our anniversary."

Darnell was cut off with their food being placed in front of them.

"The plates are hot so please be careful. Is there anything I can get you guys?"

"No we're good thank you." Don replied.

"Look this isn't the time for us to be arguing. I just want to eat my dinner in peace." Don stated one the waitress was gone.

With that Darnell didn't say anything. The only thing she could focus on was her stomach. The smell of her food made her stomach turn. When her mouth began to water she got up and rushed to the bathroom.

Hurrying to the toilet she didn't get to close the stall behind her. She could feel her hair being pulled back but couldn't say anything or turn to see who the person was. She was too busy trying to catch her breath.

Grabbing a tissue to wipe her eyes then her mouth, she got up and flush the contents along with the tissue down the toilet. Turning she found that the person who was helping her was Don. He rubbed her back as she came from out of the stall and over to the sink to wash her hands and rinse her mouth out.

"Are you okay?"

"Mhmm." She replied fixing her skirt.

They returned to their table after a couple of minutes in the restroom. Their waitress also returned checking on them.

"Can you box these up for me."

She nodded taking the plates back to the kitchen.

"You can go lay down in the room while I wait for the food."

By her looks, Darnell wasn't doing too good. Her head was down trying to focus on not throwing up again. Don didn't have to tell her twice. She got up grabbing the key card from Don heading towards the room.

When she got to there, she immediately took off her clothes, watched her face, and put on her nightie. Laying in the bed she finally got comfortable watching tv.

Ten minutes later Don came into the room putting the food in the kitchenette area. He came into the bedroom space and sat on the bed staring at Darnell. What happened next threw Darnell for a loop.

"Are you pregnant?"

Darnell sat up placing her back against the plush headboard.

"What?"

"I said are you pregnant? Your throwing up. You've been eating Chinese food every other day. You've been getting thicker."

Darnell thought back. Everything Don said was true but she didn't think too far into anything. She had the centre, her kids, and life didn't let her think too much about her eating habits.

"I don't know."

She looked back at Don now noticing the grocery bag in his hand.

"I think you should take this." He pulled out the pregnancy tests.

"Where did you get these?"

"You'll be surprised what they have on this ship."

With that Darnell got up from the bed taking the boxes into the bathroom. Nervously she peed on the three sticks and placed them on the bathroom counter. After washing her hands she walked back into the bedroom sitting on the bed next to a now half dressed Don.

The five minutes went by in complete silence. The two in their own worlds. How could they take care of another baby? Now they both had businesses to run, their relationship wasn't on the best terms, and adding another child into the mix wasn't making the situation better.

The alarm on Don's phone went off indicating time was up. "Can you go look." Darnell almost pleaded. Don got up blowing out a breath pulling a hand down his face. Walking into the bathroom, he looked at all three test not surprised at the result. He grabbed them and brought them to Darnell. She grabbed them not missing the word pregnant in bold on all three test.

Even though it wasn't expected Darnell was still happy. Having another child was a blessing to her and if she had to cut back hours at the centre to be the best mother she could be then she would.

The look on Don's face was the complete opposite.

"Are you going to say anything?" Darnell asked.

"I'm going to ask you something and I want you to be completely honest with me." His voice was serious and stern.

"Okay."

"Am I the baby's father?"
