So...3 chapters per week it is! If you guys want to know, I take 3-4 hours to write 1 chapter 😂😂.

I have burst write 3 chapters before in a single day, and I was dead on the bed after that, HAHA.

Anyway, sorry for holding you up, enjoy~

"So, you are planning to let Hana cross the fog to undo the seal on her angelic powers."

Mir nodded. "It's the only way, and the only way for the Supreme God to go back to heavenly realm."

"Don't you mean me?" Isleif smirked, sounding cocky. "After I absorb Xue, and I become the main host of the soul?"

Mir's wings fluttered slightly, as if irked by Isleif's words. He glanced at Isleif, sighing as he summoned out his sword, and his wings spread out further.

"Even if it is possible," Mir said, his tone chilly. "I'll be a fool to let someone like you become the main host of the Supreme God."

Isleif clenched his fists, the knuckles in his hand started to coat in magma.

"I knew this would happen," Isleif shrugged, getting into a defensive stance. "You never trusted me from the start. You just needed me to act as a distraction."

"If you become the Supreme God, even if you are him, you are not him. You won't save us, you'll kill us all."

"If you kneel and swear your allegiance to me, I'll consider sparing all of you."

"Arrogant mortal," Mir hissed, the sword in his hand glinting dangerously in the light. "You aren't even a complete being."

"I'll be complete, once I absorb your damn Supreme God for myself!"

The two men charged at one another, and Cecil turned away. She shook Hana awake, experiencing a mixture of emotions on the inside after witnessing the exchange between the two people.

"Hana! Hana, wake up!"

Hana blinked drowsily, before she bolted up with a yelp.

Cecil covered her mouth hurriedly, and Hana sighed in relief when she saw the raven-haired woman beside her.

"This is our only chance to escape, quickly!"

Hana nodded.

The two ladies stood up to their feet quietly, glancing at one another. The sounds of weapons clashing were heard from behind.

Cecil raised her hand, doing a countdown from three and Hana nodded in understanding. Cecil made a gesture to move, and the two ladies sprinted past the trees, their shoes rustling against the grass.

They were still wearing their dress, which caused them some difficulty. In the end, they had no other choices than to run as they lifted up their dresses slightly.

Alas, their escape only went unnoticed for a few seconds, before the two people stopped their fight. The two of them glanced at the slim figures scurrying past the trees, and they disappeared in a flash.

Hana gasped, finding her path blocked by a man with wings.

Cecil wanted to conjure a wall to push him aside, until a red-haired man appeared in front of her, seizing her arm.

"Supreme Goddess, you are the only one who can bring the Supreme God back, please forgive my rudeness." Mir bowed, placing hand over Hana's arm.

Cecil knew everyone in the heavenly realm regarded Hana as the Supreme Goddess. She was the only female standing by his side, even though they were never married or intimate in any manner.

"Why do you keep calling me--"

Hana disappeared along with Mir.

The distance they had put between them was futile.

Cecil knew Mir was headed back to the cliff, wanting to force Hana to cross it. This event never happened in the original novel, and neither did this event where Hana was taken by Mir.

She was in disbelief.

The timeline was slowly becoming more disrupted.

"Hana." Cecil breathed out shakily, turning to run back.

"Now, where do you think you are going?" Isleif tightened the grip on her arm, pulling her back.

"I'm going back to Hana, I'm not going to run off without her!"

"I'll go there with you."

"Yes, that's fine, just go." Cecil furrowed her eyebrows, struggling against his hand.

"Wherever you want to go," Isleif leaned in, using his other hand to pinch her chin, forcing her to look at him. "I will go with you."

"I never asked for that!" Cecil recoiled back, glaring at Isleif as she freed her chin. "Let me go."

Isleif narrowed his eyes as he smiled gently, though it seemed dangerous. He wasn't planning to release her arm, or her.

"Never," Isleif tightened his grip on her arm even more, and Cecil winced in pain. "You are to stay by my side, where I can see you."

Cecil glanced up at Isleif, speechless.

This...this soul fragment, what...what's wrong with him?!

In the novel, he showed this obsession to Hana and no one else.

But...but why is it directed to me now instead of Hana?!

"We have only just met, why are you..." Cecil regarded Isleif with confusion. "Why are you so obsessed with me?"

"I do not know," Isleif continued smiling. "And that's why I need you by my side to find out the answer."

Cecil felt a chill running down her spine at that smile.

It wasn't like the toothy grin that Kai showed her.

Or the carefree smile that Zasiok once wore on his face.

...or even the wicked smirk from Leonaut, and the shy smile from Alric.

Even though his smile may seem gentle, it wasn't the same gentle smile Xue always showed her now.

"Now, come on, you want to see your dear Hana, don't you?" Isleif said, pulling her along. "She's just right ahead."

***

"Cross it, Supreme Goddess."

Hana blinked rapidly, gazing at the fog going past the horizon. She gasped in amazement, clapping her hands.

"This is so pretty! What is this place?! What's below there--eh, you want me to cross it?"

Mir nodded.

"Mmmm," Hana shook her head. "But I will fall down! I don't wanna cross it!"

"I can assure you that will not happen, Supreme Goddess."

"There you go again! Why do you keep calling me that? It sounds so funny!"

"Because you are the person to stand by the Supreme God's side."

"Supreme...God...I heard that before somewhere..." Hana furrowed her eyebrows, before she lit up in recognition. "It's Xue, right? I remember hearing and seeing people call him that!"

Mir widened his eyes, seemingly relieved. "You are starting to remember your memories, Supreme Goddess?"

"Memories? Are you talking about me seeing those dreams with Xue with long hair and with wings on his back?"

Mir smiled happily, nodding. "Yes, exactly! If you want to see more of those dreams, just cross the fog! You will remember them all!"

Hana pouted, thinking for a moment.

This man looks like an angel.

Angel aren't bad guys...but this angel took me and Cecil away.

Mir knew of Hana's gullible personality, and seeing that she was still the same as she was, a guilty look flitted past this eyes before he plastered a smile back on his face.

"You can trust me, Hana, I am a good guy." Mir spoke in the most earnest way. "I am a good friend of the Supre--I mean, Xue."

"Okay, I believe you!" Hana nodded. "I want to see more of the dreams anyway, here I go!"

Hana turned and started to walk closer to the cliff.

"You are truly the one fated for the Supreme God, Hana Katae." Mir spoke, smiling.

Finally.

Finally, he will come back to our side.

"You are wrong." Hana suddenly said, snapping Mir out from his daze.

Hana was a few steps away from the cliff, staring at Mir with her round, innocent eyes.

"The one fated for Xue, it's not me," Hana beamed. "It's Cecil."

"...Cecil?"

Hana nodded with a smile.

"Who is--"

"Hana, no, don't go any closer to the cliff!"

Hana heard Cecil shouting from behind, spinning around as she continued beaming.

"Cecil!"

Cecil took out her dagger with her free hand, and extended it into a vine whip, pulling Hana back gently.

Hana stumbled back, blinking innocently.

Isleif didn't make any move to stop Cecil, standing quietly beside Cecil. Mir gave him a questioning look, and Isleif smirked.

We are enemies now, why should I help you?

Hana hopped back to Cecil's side, tilting her head.

"He's a bad guy, Hana, don't listen to what he says."

"A bad guy? An angel like him?"

"Yes."

"If you say he is a bad guy, then he is a bad guy!" Hana harrumphed, pointing at Mir. "You are a bad guy, so I won't listen to you anymore!"

Mir was shocked at Cecil's influence over Hana.

A mere mortal woman, and the Supreme Goddess trusts her and obeys her?

I heard the Supreme Goddess calling this mortal woman, Cecil.

The one fated for our Supreme God? According to her?

Suddenly, two more presence entered the scene.

"Hana, Cecil."

"Xue!"

Veau glanced around the surroundings, the usual bored look on his face. "I wasn't wrong after all."

"Finally, you are here," Isleif smirked at Xue. "I've been waiting."

Xue dashed forward and attacked Isleif standing beside Cecil. Isleif dodged his attack, forced to join Mir's side once again.

Xue regarded the two men with piercing glares, standing in front of Hana and Cecil, shielding them.

If he could, he wanted to tear the two men down into pieces, for stealing Hana and Cecil away from his side. However, the two women took priority compared to his anger.

Cecil did a double take, realising Veau was right by their side. Moreover, she recalled the black mist she saw before they reappeared, and she knew that Veau brought Xue here.

"Why are you here?" Cecil questioned with a frown.

"Hello, ugly Cecil Lan," Veau smiled lazily and he glanced towards Hana, waving carelessly. "Hello to you too, Hana."

Hana made a noise, hiding behind Cecil.

"Cecil, I don't like him, he always gives me a bad feeling."

"I am a demon, that's why."

"So that's why! Demons are bad guys, so you are a bad guy!"

Veau seemed accustomed to this, rolling his eyes. "You are as gullible as ever, Hana."

Hana pouted at Veau.

Mir eyed Veau closely, frowning.

Is he planning to participate in the fight?

I can't tell, with this man.

If he does, none of us stand a chance against him.

Mir glanced at Isleif, and Isleif sighed in exasperation.

"I won't get in your way, alright?"

"...that's all I need to hear."

All of a sudden, Veau raised his palms towards the two ladies, and a trail of black lines stretched out from his palm. Within seconds, the two ladies were sealed into cages made out of a strange, black misty lines.

His actions shocked everyone, and Xue was the first to recover.

"What do you want to do now, Veau?" Xue hissed out.

Veau snapped his fingers, making the cages float. The two ladies couldn't even break out from the cages, no matter how much they struggled.

"Now, give me a good show, Xue," Veau nudged his head to the two women floating in the air. "You don't have to worry about them getting involved."

"You want to watch me fight my own general and myself?"

Veau shrugged.

Xue seemed like he wanted to curse out at Veau. However, the moment his eyes saw the two men, the anger he had for Veau dissipated.

Right now, all he wanted to do was kill these two people.

All of them could feel the rage coming from Xue, and the man charged forward swiftly.

Cecil sat down in the cage, sighing helplessly. Hana only pouted, sitting down as well.

Xue battled against the two men with his own spear. It was a mixture between an elemental battle and a physical battle. However, he was at a disadvantage since he was already fighting someone at his own current caliber, and another person that was certainly too powerful for his current state.

Fortunately, Mir seemed hesitant to hurt Xue, only defending himself against Xue's attacks and never once making a move to attack him.

In the end, it was almost like a battle between Xue and Isleif. They were both on par with one another, both in terms of elemental powers and physical strength.

The battle was intense, causing a few stray attacks to fly towards Veau.

Veau calmly dodged them all, and even defected a few of those with his claw-like hands. The ladies floating in the cages were completely safe.

"Keep Xue busy." Mir lowered his voice, so that only Isleif could hear him.

"Huh?"

"I'll distract Veau, and that will allow me to take Hana away and force her to walk across the fog."

Isleif paused before nodding along.

Just like that, Mir disappeared and Isleif put his utmost into fighting Xue. It proved to be effective, causing Xue to focus more on him and Xue didn't realise Mir wasn't in the battle anymore.

Veau raised his eyebrows when he saw Mir in front of him.

"What is it? You want to fight me instead?"

Mir extended his hand out, and a scroll suddenly revealed itself on his palm. He gestured for Veau to take it, but Veau didn't make a move.

"You expect me to take it so easily?"

"It's regarding the previous Supreme God."

"It doesn't concern me."

"It concerns Eona."

The lazy smile gradually dropped, and Veau slowly glanced up at Mir.

"...how do you know that name?"

Cecil could feel the cage trembling, as if the control Veau has over it was faltering.

Pt. 1

《 start 》

He...really transported me to where they were at.

This crazy bastard.

From the time I have known you, you have always done whatever you like.

Regardless of consequences, and how others may see you.

I admired you for that.

I wanted to thank you for showing me that someone sitting at the highest position of power, need not necessarily care about their image.

But now, those feelings of admiration and gratefulness are long gone.

I hate you.

...but I am not too late this time, thanks to you.

Why did you do it, Veau?

Other than K'xug and Hana, you were the only one who knew me.

The only one I treated like a friend, and someone I could treat like a friend.

You said I did nothing, but why?

Why did you betray me?

Why did you hurt Hana?

...why?

Pt. 2

《 start 》

Do I need to answer why I am obsessed with you?

No, I do not care.

You only need to stay by my side.

If you cannot do something as simple as that, do not blame me for being cruel.

You belong to me.

What belongs to me must remain at my side.

What is rightfully mine, is for me to claim.

The three realms.

You.

Becoming the main host of the soul.

It's all mine.
