Tracy

It's been six months, things have been going good so far. I was able to enroll back to college. I've been living with my parents instead of the school's residence. One is because they wanted me close to them after being apart for so many years and two because the residence was full for the semester.

I met Ashton after learning from Carson about his help. He was embarrassed about it and denied helping in anything. School have been so far okay.. Carson and I have been doing great.

We've been hanging out quite a lot often. Instead of going to parties during weekends. We spend times together, watching movies, reading books, baking and things like that.

I was waiting in the library for Carson who was still in class.

"Hey baby." He said kissing my cheeks and sat down on the chair beside me.

"Hi." I said smiling, my heart still flutters when I see him.

"What were you doing?" He looked at my laptop's screen.

"Finishing assignments." I said.

"We have to go somewhere later today." He said and I looked confused.

"Where?" I asked.

"Surprise." He said.

"Okay?"

"Let's go.." he looked at his watch and then hurriedly put my things in my bag and carried my bag for me and intertwine his other hand with mine's.

He didn't want to tell me where he was taking me. He drove us to a restaurant that I've never been before, it was an Italian restaurant. He stopped the car outside the door.

"Can you go in first?I'm going to park the car."

I was confused, Carson never do this. He made sure he park the car and come with me inside.

"Okay?" I said as I opened the door. He pulled me back and kissed my hand.

"I'll see you inside." I said to him and he give me a dazzling smile and my heart melted looking at him.

I opened the door and walked in.. the restaurant was empty, there were lights on, soft music was playing. I scanned the restaurant and stepped back in surprise. Grandma was standing there, looking at me cautiously.

"Grandma." I said running to her. I missed her so much. After our talk in her place with the lawyers, that was the last time we spoke. I hugged her tightly.

She was still at first, but relaxed and hugged me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked pulling back.

"Carson." She said looking at me. "He helped me."

"How have you been?" I asked.

"I want you back in my life." She said.

Oh Grandma...

"I promise, I won't interfere in any of your business unless you want me to.."

"I want you back in my life too." I cried as I hugged her. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, honey."

"How about Dad and Mom?"

"We spoke on the phone.." she said. "We are having dinner together."

"Are we?" I said surprised and excited.

"I'm sorry for everything." She said.

"I'm sorry too." I said.

The door opened and closed.

"Did I interrupt something?" Carson said walking in. "I'll be outside if you want more time."

"It's okay." Grandma said pulling away and walked towards Carson. "Thank you for everything, I apologize for judging you."

"I get that quite often." He smiled. "I' m glad you decided to listen."

Grandma and him exchanged some words that I didn't understand. I think it's their own little secret.

Dad and Mom soon arrived. Carson and I excused ourself to allow them to talk. We decided to wait in his car because the weather was not that great, out.

"What happened?" I asked. "How did you?" I was lost for words.

"I emailed your grandma.. I rant in the email actually.. I didn't expect any responds from her, but she did and she said she wanted to fix things."

"How long have you guys been talking?"

"For a month." He admitted.

"And you never told me about this?"

"It's a surprise."

"You always surprise me!" I said.

He took my hands and kissed the back of my hands.

"Thank you. You keep doing things that make me want to cry, a happy cry." I said.

"I want to do everything that I can to keep that smile." He said.

"It must be exhausting dating me." I said.

"Exhausting, but I love it. You make me feel nice about myself and when you give me your smile, I feel like all of the hard work pays off." He assured.

"Thank you Carson." I said as I pulled him for a hug.

He rubbed my back gently.

"You're welcome, Tracy." He said.

I pulled back just to give him a kiss. He put his hand on my cheek and tried to pulled me as close to him as possible. My stomach still feel the butterfly every time that we kiss. I don't think I will ever get over this feeling.

"I love you Tracy." He said. "And I hope you will still feel the same about me in the future. Thank you for trusting me."

"Thank you Carson for everything, for helping me find my parents, helping my Grandma.. thank you for loving me. It must be exhausting, but I hope you will continue to be patient with me and love me while I'm still trying to figure out life. I love you Carson. I love you more than I can explain and I hope we can continue to be with each other while we are learning and growing and I hope things will get better in the future for us and for everyone."

I would have never imagined finding love in school while I was looking for my parents. My main reason for moving to San Francisco was to find my parents, not only did I find them but I found love and friends. They were with me by my side as they stood beside me in my tough times. Even though Grandma may have been tough, but I can't stay mad at her for a long time. I looked at the man in front of me, who went beyond to make my life better. There are insecurities at times in our relationship, he's a popular guy and everyone still swoons around him.. but he chose me and I chose him and we decided to trust each other. Trust is something that's so difficult to gain, but so easy to lose.. we decided to trust each other and to communicate more in this relationship to make it work. Things may get difficult sometime, but if we stay focus and work together on it-it will get better, soon. That's what Carson thinks and I hope so too...

We smiled at each other and I couldn't feel much happier right now.

Now I can finally say to him, I appreciate you dropping the book in my foot. I would have never confronted him if he didn't do that, neither would have spoken to him if he didn't do that.. I'm glad it happened, accidentally or not and I hope things will get better for everyone as well.
