After defeating the Calamity, our heroes consult with Impa, who informs them that due to the extensive damage, the prospect of rebuilding an entire kingdom is simply unfeasible. Opting to live regular lives as simple villagers in this new era, Link and Zelda choose to make their home in Hateno Village. However, neither one can ignore one issue they've noticed: even with Calamity Ganon sealed, his monsters still roamed the land. Choosing to investigate, Link prepares Zelda for travel in this new wild-covered land. After receiving a letter from King Dorephan regarding a malfunction with Vah Ruta, the two embark on their quest to investigate the remaining monsters and the error with the Divine Beasts, while also learning and acting upon the feelings they had set aside for so long.
