Nearly two months have gone by and Erin hasn't heard from the son she never wanted to hurt, but unintentionally did hurt. Nothing seems to be able to give her much comfort, except what she knew in her gut about the wench who stole her husband. It's about to be confirmed as Erin goes to her doctor for a yearly check-up.

"I hope Dr. Leon tells me I'm not coming down with the flu. These past few months have been hell on me. I'm sure I'm just so stressed out over Christopher basically disowning me."

"He still hasn't called you, Erin?"

"No, he hasn't, Donna. This is killing me. We have never gone this long without talking to each other."

"And what about you and Eli?"

"Oh god, Donna. I just can't seem to force myself to be done with Eli. Some great mother I am, huh? My only child busts me in bed with his best friend and what do I do? I keep having sex with him. I called Eli last night and told him we have to be done."

"And is that what you really want, Erin? I already know the answer. You fell in love with Eli."

"Donna, I was so pissed and so lonely after I divorced Ross, he shattered my heart, but after I was finally getting over him I was getting used to being single and enjoying being able to do whatever the hell I wanted to do, but then,-"

"But then your son brings his friend home and you realized you're not old as dirt and still want to feel desired, wanted, loved?"

"I swear I tried so hard no to allow myself to go there. Me, a woman my age falling for someone my son's age? It's insane, Donna."

"Insane or not, Erin, you fell for Eli."

"Oh god, what kind of future could we possibly have together?"

"A great one if you let yourself be happy with Eli. I know Chris is pissed, but his ass needs to see his mother deserves to be happy."

"I couldn't agree more," I hear his voice. I look up to see Eli looking down at me.

"Elijah, what are you doing here?" I ask and he slides in the seat next to me.

"I'm here for moral support, Erin."

"I already have Donna here with me, Eli."

"Oh, will you look at the time. I completely forgot I have a meeting in twenty minutes."

"No, you don't have a meeting, Donna."

"I do have a meeting, Erin, so it's good Eli can be here with you because I need to go," she bolts towards the door.

"Her being suttle was never her strong suit."

"Erin, we need to have a talk. This is ridiculous for us having to keep our distance from each other. We're both grown adult and I know I'm sounding like a broken record repeating that, but it's true. I am not a kid, I'm a full-grown man who knows who he wants. I get to make that choice."

"Eli, my son refuses to speak to me. It's been nearly two months. I can't choose you over my son."

"Erin, even after Chris busted us we still kept having sex, I think maybe deep down inside of you, you know we're not doing anything wrong.  Chris is a big boy now, he's either going to accept us being together, or he isn't. Why should his mother have to live like a hermit because her son his having a tantrum?" he asks as he slowly slides his hand on hers.

"I do want us together, but,-"

"But nothing. This isn't just about our amazing sex, it's much more than that to me, Erin, and I know it's much more to you."

"You're right, Eli, it's much more than us having sex together. I just can't help wonder one day you'll end up resenting me for not insisting you find someone your own age."

"Well, let's look at it like I'm carrying on the family tradition," he chuckles.

"What, what does that mean?"

"It means, Erin, that my grandmother was nearly ten years older than my grandfather, and my mother is nearly thirteen years older than my father," he informs her. She smiles and leans over and pressed her lips on his.

"Just out of curiosity, Eli, are your parents still happily married?"

"Yes, Erin. My parents are about to celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary and I told them I'm bringing the love of my life with me to their anniversary party."

"You told them what, Eli?"

"Erin, be quiet and kiss me again, please," he pulls her in pressing his lips on her.

"Oh my god, Erin, and Eli? Holy crop are you two sexually involved? And you have the nerve to call me a slut, at least I like them of legal age. You just wait till I tell Ross and our lawyer. You're about to lose everything Erin, you already lost Chris, now you're going to lose your finances, your house, and I will make sure you spend years in prison for being a child predator."

"Oh my god, Tammy. You really are this stupid, aren't you?"

"I'd be very careful about how you choose to speak to me, Erin. Tick tock, bitch.  Ross and I are about to have everything we deserve, and we're going to take it all from you," she snaps before walking into the next room.

"Who the hell is that psychotic bitch, Erin? Is that who your dumb ass husband left you for?"

"Yes, that is the psychotic bitch Ross left me for. Little does she know, she has nothing to use against me, but if my gut feeling is correct, I'll have plenty to use against her, and hopefully Ross."

"Oh, do tell. What is it you're hoping you have to use against them?"

"Well, for starters, someone else might be the father of her unborn baby."

"Oh damn, that is some great stuff to use against her," he grins.

"Eli, I have to ask you this. Do you want kids someday?"

"Well, yeah, I would love to have at least one child, but Erin, if we don't have any kids, it's  okay."

"You may feel that way right now, Elijah, but you're so young, ten years from now you may change your mind and want a child. I won't be able to give you a child."

"Erin, the doctor can see you now," the nurse says holding the door open.

"We will talk about this later, Erin. Come on, I want to go in with you," he grabs her hand escorting her in the room.

"Good morning, Erin, oh, hello young man, who are you?"

"I'm, umm, Erin's boyfriend," the doctor's eyes widen but says nothing.

"So I guess that would make you the father?" The doctor asks causing them both to look confused.

"The father, I'm sorry, doc, what are you talking about?"

"Erin, you're pregnant."

"I'm, I'm what?"

"Ha, I guess someone was wrong, Erin. Looks like I am going to have a child after all."

"Oh my god, how is this even possible? I'm too old to have children."

"No, Erin. you're not. A woman at the age of fifty can still conceive, it's rare, but it does happen. You're only forty years old, and obviously, you're still very much able to conceive more children...Congrats to you both."

"Come on, Erin. We are going to go celebrate," he says as he grabs her hand. Once out in the hall, they both hear shouting coming from the room Tammy went in earlier.

"There has to be a mistake. What do you mean Ross isn't the father of my unborn baby? Oh my god, there is only one other possible father, Lance."

"I knew it, Eli. I knew Ross wasn't the father. Well, I'm going to let this all play out, and when that gold-digging bitch least expects it, that's exactly when I'm going to blow her out of the water with this nice evidence my cell phone just recorded."
