"Wait what?" I just wanted to make sure I wasn't hearing things. He just asked me to be his girlfriend right?

"Adri, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Are you serious?"

"Uh .. yeah, I'm dead serious." He looked really nervous which I kinda wanted to take advantage of and make him suffer longer so I waited to answer for a couple more seconds.

"Of course Ash." I giggled embracing him in a hug. My cheeks were beginning to hurt because I couldn't stop smiling. I've only had one boyfriend my entire life and that was in sixth grade so it doesn't really count. I looked at Ash and could help but noticed he was staring at me.

"What?" I said with a smile laugh.

"Nothing." He simply replied with a smile.

The fireworks finally stopped and it became super quiet. All of the sudden he slipped off he's shoes and socks and rolled up he's jeans.

"What are you doing?"

"Come on, let's go for a walk on the beach." He stood up and held his hand out for me. I grabbed it and he gently pulled me up.

We got closer to the ocean and I couldn't believe that this was our first date and I couldn't stop smiling at the fact that Ash was holding my hand.

The ocean waves crashing on the beach was so relaxing to hear. When the water came up and touched my toes I couldn't help but yelp in surprise of how cold it was. As we were walking I noticed that we were walking in sync. All of the sudden I felt a muscular hand gently turn my face to come in contact with Ash's lips. I could feel him smiling as he gently kissed me feeling electricity all over my body. He lifted me up and I flung my legs up as well keeping them together. He kissed me gently one more time before he began turning us in circles and I couldn't help but laugh. He put me back down and stared at me for a moment.

"Um Adri, I'm really glad that were together now but this is still all new to me. I don't really do relationships and I haven't in a really long time."

"Ash, what are you trying to say?"

"I was wondering if you would be okay keeping are relationship low key."

"You don't want people to know about us?"

"It's not that, I'm just not ready."

"Is it that you're not ready or is it that your embarrassed with people knowing who you're dating?"

"No, Adri not at all! How could I be embarrassed with a girl like you!?"

"Have you seen me?"

"Yes every morning, every afternoon, and every night, and you know what I think?"

"What?"

"I think that your the most gorgeous girl I have ever seen with an amazing personality. Who could ever be embarrassed with a girl like you? I'm just new to this whole relationship thing and I don't want to screw it up."

"Thank you Ash." I said going up on my tippy toes and kissing he's nose.

"I understand if you want to keep it on the down low."

"Just for a couple days, that's it!" Ash said reassuring.

"Remember the time you were singing out loud walking to school?" Ash said laughing.

"How could I forget that was one of the most embarrassing things ever!"

"Oh what about the time you were stuck in the bush or how bout the time were my brothers and I saw you changing that was hilarious!"

"Wow thanks Ash for reminding me how embarrassing I can be." I said pushing his should playfully.

"That's a big reason of why I started liking you, it showed you weren't fake like all the other girls at school.

"Speaking of other girls at school, when you were ignoring me that one day how come you were talking to Danielle and Erica? I thought you were still mad at them for what they did to me?"

"I was, and I still am but I was just being an asshole and wanted to make you jealous."

"Wow you're such a girl." I said laughing at Ash.

"I am not!"

"Ash come on now, that was such a girl thing to do!" Laughing even harder.

All of the sudden I was being picked up bridal style.

"What are you doing?" I soon realized he was moving closer and closer to the cols water.

"N-No! Ash, put me down! Put me down on the sand!"

"Say your sorry."

"Your kidding right?" I felt him let go of me a little obviously letting me know that he would do it.

"Say you're sorry."

"Ugh! Okay, okay I'm sorry!"

"Sorry for what?"

"I'm sorry for calling you a girl! Now put me down on the sand!"

He finally made his way back to the sand still holding me and he gently put me down.

"Ugh I hate you so much right now!"

"That's not true, you can't resist me." He said with a wink.

"Wow." I said sarcastically.

We walked back to the blanket and I quickly sat down shivering. I could tell the temperature dropped outside. Ash sat down next to me wrapping his arms around me. We both laid down and I snuggled close to him.

"Ash."

"Yeah?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"This date, it's the best date I've ever been on and the only."

"Wait, this is your first date?"

"Yeah I've never been asked out on a date before." I said nervously.

"Your joking right?"

"I wish." I laughed Into his arm.

"Well there are many more to come." He said holding me closer

My hand roamed over a hard object with fabric over it and I slowly fluttered my eyes open, that object was Ash's chest.

I snuggled closer into his chest and his arm swung around my waist. The waves crashes was the best sound to wake up to. I sat up and I knew right away my hair was probably a tangled mess. It was really chilly since we had slept on the beach but Ash's body kept me warm.

"This is what it's like waking up in Florida every morning at our beach house."

"That's going be such a fun trip, I can't wait."

"Yeah and my brothers go and look for girls most of the time so they won't really bother us."

"Speaking of your brothers, um I was going to tell you this last night but I guess I got distracted, uh well Jared he um-"

I was interrupted by Ash's phone going off. He quickly answered it telling me to hold on one moment and then I realized that maybe I shouldn't tell him just yet. I don't want to ruin the day.

"Sorry about that um we should get going." Ash said getting up.

"Yeah." We both folded up the blankets and grabbed all of our belongings. Since it was really early no one was really on the beach at all which was a good thing cause that would be awkward if people saw us sleeping. We made our way to the car and climb in putting the blankets in the back. I put my hair up in a messy bun while Ash started the car.

"I like your hair like that."

"You don't need to be a kiss up Ash." I said laughing as he began to drive.

"See that's the thing with you women, you can't take a complement!"

"Yes we can!"

Ash just rolled his eyes with a smirk on his face. He placed his hand on my thigh and I felt goosebumps right away. I can't believe I actually get to call him my boyfriend.

"Where are we going isn't your house the opposite way?"

"Yeah, but I thought that we should stop and get breakfast."

"Looking like this? Ash I look horrible!"

"You look beautiful Adri just like every other second of the day." When those words fell out of Ash's mouth I couldn't help but feel the blood rush up to my cheeks so o quickly looked down at Ash's hand on my leg which made me blush even more.

"So where are we going to eat?"

"It's a small diner not to far from here."

"Okay." I said smiling. I turned around to look for ny wedges that I threw in the back seat but I was surprised when I saw the elephant still buckled in that Ash got me at the fair.

"You never took it out?"

"Took what out?"

"The elephant?" I said biting my lip. He turned around for a split second to look at the stuffed animal.

"Oh, I guess not."

I grabbed my wedges and turned back around in my seat, I quickly placed them on my feet and began to fix a little bit of my smeared mascara through the small little mirror. I honestly didn't want to go out in public looking like this but I was starving.

Ash's P.O.V

We finally got to our destination and I quickly got out of the car so I could open Adri's door for her but by the time I had gotten to the other side of the car she had already opened her door herself. I was kind of disappointed but I just grabbed her hand in mine and we walked into the diner that smelled delicious.

"Hi there, may I help you?" I girl said around my age. She had blonde hair that came up to her shoulders and blue eyes.

"Uh yeah table for two please."

"Right this way?" She said smiling again. She had a little bit of a country accent but it sounded like she was hiding it.

We sat down at a booth and I was across from Adri. She's so beautiful without even trying.

"Here are your menus...and I''ll be back in a few minutes and see if your ready to order." She said smiling and then walked away.

"It smells so good in here." Adri finally spoke.

"Yeah the foods delicious here, you'll like it." The waiter came back and we order our food both getting pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. We were enjoying our food until Adri suddenly stopped eating looking at the door.

"What's wrong Adri?" When she didn't say anything I looked towards the door as well.

Shit.

We both stared at the door until she began walking over to us in surprise.

"Adrianna?" She spoke as she reached our table. Adri didn't say anything almost like she was paralyzed.

"M-Mom?" Adri's voice came out a little louder than a whisper.

"Oh my god sweetie, I've missed you so much!" She said sitting down next to Adri pulling her into a hug.

"I moved out of the house about two weeks ago. Sweetie I met someone."

"You what?" Adri said in disbelief.

"We moved in together, he's very sweet and I think you'll like him."

"Are you serious?!" Adri almost yelled pulling away from her mother.

"When were you planning on telling me?!"

"Well sweetie I thought your father told you and since you don't want to live with me, you are going have to live with him." So that's what my dad was calling to tell me?

"No I already have a place to live!" Adri looked at me as if it was a question.

"You're only sixteen Adrianna, by law you have to either live with me or your father."

"Why would I ever want to live with any of you! You kicked me out for something so stupid and dad cheated on you! Now you've met someone new and you're living with him that fast?"

"Adri, if you don't go live with your dad, then I am taking this to court!" Adri looked shocked and before I knew tears were streaming down her face.

"Fine, I'll go live with him."

"Good." Her mother said with a smile getting up from the booth.

"But I am never speaking to you again!"

"Adrianna..." Her mom said but Adri got up from the table walking out of the diner as quickly as possible and I ran after her. When I got outside she was by my truck freaking out and her tears wouldn't stop. I quickly grabbed her in my arms and her arms went around my waist grabbing on to my shirt. I didn't care if she got her makeup or tear stains on my shirt. I didn't realize I was crying also until I wiped away a tear on my cheek. I didn't want to loose her, not now, everything was finally falling into place and just like that it's all falling apart.

"I should of never took you here, It's all my fault, I'm so sorry."

"Ash, It's not your fault that my mom's a crazy bitch, you didn't know she'd be there."

"Let's go." Her mom could pay for the food I thought to myself.

We got in the truck and I drove us to the house. I realized no one was home so we decided to watch some movies on the couch to get our mind off things. Soon Adri was fast asleep on me so I slowly and carefully got up trying not to wake her. I went into my room and for no reason I began to cry but I soon realized it was because I knew that I was going to lose Adri.
