'I'm not givin' up, givin' up
No, not me
Even when nobody else believes
I'm not goin' down that easily
So don't give up on me'

"Ace, it's still seven in the evening," I say as I resist getting dragged up to the bedroom.

"So?" He says, looking confused.

"Why don't we take a moment to enjoy the outside?" I roll my eyes.

"We can do that in our bed," his eyes flash with emotions I'm familiar with.

"No Ace, I'll have to say we can not enjoy the outside from inside," I groan.

And of course, our conversation had to be cut short with someone ringing the doorbell and Ace acting like he didn't hear.

"I'll go get it," I say.

"Get what?" he acts oblivious.

"As far as I know, you're not deaf," I roll my eyes and hold back the sigh. It's like his maturity lessens as days go by.

When I open the door, confetti is popped and thrown on my face and I hear a loud Congratulations coming from everywhere. I open my eyes to see the mallows, Rose and Blake standing outside.

"No no no no," Ace comes in shaking his head and immediately the majority of the gang looks terrified. "I said the day after I pop the question, not the hour after."

"Thank you guys so much!" I say, ignoring Ace's sour comment.

"My baby is growing up so fast," Rose comes in and hugs me.

"How does everyone know where we live?" I ask Ace quietly.

"I made the mistake of trusting them," he simply answers.

"Blake! How are you feeling?" I ask since he was in the hospital last time I saw him.

"Better than ever," he hugs me.

After a lot of hugs, greetings to our home and receiving presents, we were all situated on the ground floor while some of the guys cooked for us. They all insisted we don't do any of the work since the party is in our honor, but I still tried to help as much as I could.

"I really shouldn't have invited them," Ace groans from behind me and I stir in his arms.

"Don't be like that, this is fun," I say, upset. "But if you're not having fun, it makes it less fun."

He stares at my pout and steals a quick kiss from me. "I can't win against you, can I?"

Suddenly feeling the confidence to do it, and since everyone else seems preoccupied either with the televisions or cooking, I look around before standing up slowly. Ace looks confused, but when I tug at his hand to follow, he does so without question.

"I didn't expect you to be the one inviting me to bed while all our friends are here," he sounds surprised.

I refrain from saying anything but could only roll my eyes. Once we reach our room on the third floor, I sit Ace on the bed while we can still hear yelling and laughing from downstairs. The noise fades when I close the door and Ace looks confused even further.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"Can we move our bedroom a staircase or two lower?" I ask, reaching into a drawer.

"You don't like this one?" He seems surprised. "If that's what you want, then I don't have a problem with that."

"No, I'm just thinking ahead in about a couple of months when I won't be able to even walk normally," I say, my heart about to beat out of my chest.

"I don't understand," he says, unsure.

"Well since I'm already pregnant, my tummy is only getting heavier from here onward," and I finally say it, what I've been so nervous about for the past month now.

He only stares at me, his mouth slightly open. To further prove my point, I lay a box on his lap which is filled with pregnancy tests.

When he doesn't say anything, I get impatient but also terrified this wasn't in his plans and he's disappointed. But all the worry washes away when I see a glossy coat over his eyes as he stands up and hugs me tightly.

He doesn't move from that position as he breathes my neck in then crouches down to meet my stomach. He stays there, hugging and kissing stomach almost as if he doesn't know what to say. After a couple more seconds, he stands up and says, "you're pregnant?"

"I'm pregnant," I say, suddenly getting emotional.

"You're pregnant!" He exclaims and hugs me one more time, this time it's filled with laughter and tears, our kiss slightly salty from the tears coming down both our faces.

"When did you, wait, start from the beginning," he says, unable to wipe the smile off his face.

"I'm around 4 weeks pregnant, found out really early on in Australia when I went to the hospital with the others. They took a sample of my blood to make sure I was okay and they came back with the results right after," I explain more in depth how I've been planning on telling him and how hard it's been to keep it a secret.

"I can't believe you could keep that a secret for this long. How stupid can I get?" He says with a smile on his face.

"It doesn't look like you're disappointed at all," I laugh. "Oh it feels so good to be able to be openly hormonal!"

"You're pregnant," he whispers to himself.

"You're gonna be a dad," just saying that out loud makes me bust into tears.

He doesn't say anything else. Instead, he hugs me tightly as I cry on his chest, both of us savoring this moment.

"They're back!" Blake yells, catching everyone's attention.

"Sorry, I had to change out of that dress so I don't ruin it," I tell part of the truth. I'm wearing grey sweats with a white hoodie.

"You're right on time, the gang made some food and we all helped," Rose pops her head out of the kitchen. The food smelled yummy which made me more excited than I already was. And no, this isn't because I'm pregnant, I would've been excited either way.

The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed themselves, we watched a "scary" movie but everyone was laughing, we played some cards, and then it was time for the majority to go home except a couple that wanted to stick around to help clean up.

"Thank you for coming," I hug Rose tightly as she says goodbye to Ace, Blake and I.

"Thank you for having me, and congratulations on the engagement. You did well King," she smiles approvingly and Ace only smiles back.

"How about I drive you home since I'm also heading out?" Blake offers.

"That would be great, I don't want you using public transportation at night," I say, my worries easing a bit.

"I don't want to trouble anyone," she hesitates.

"It's no trouble, really. I wouldn't be offering if I didn't want to," Blake justifies and I give her the puppy eyes.

"OK then, that would be great," she smiles and hugs me one last goodbye along with Blake.

We shut down the door, our house finally empty, and I take a deep breath. I turn back around and Ace's mouth immediately finds mine, and I melt into his unexpected kiss.

It was one in the morning so I was yearning for sleep, but not enough to break the gentle kiss. When we both get a little out of breath, he rests his forehead against mine and I feel the hotness of his breath on my face.

"You have made happier than I could have ever been, it's insane how little I can describe my love to you," he says, almost desperate to make me understand but I think I do. That's because I feel the exact same way towards him.

"I know, I love you too," I say, connecting our lips again.
