'Some days it's hard to see
if I was a fool
or you a thief
made it through the maze to find my one in a million'

I woke up the next day to see Ace still sleeping which is an unusual sight lately. He's usually gone before I wake up so i take advantage of drooling over his sleeping face freely.

We ended up binging Stranger Things yesterday and I guess I fell asleep before he did since I'm using his chest as a pillow.

I move to gently caress his tightened jaw, move his hair that has fallen onto his eyes and get a better look at his entire face.

"You could take a picture," Ace mumbles which makes me jump slightly. Heat rises to my cheeks and I hide them further into his chest.

"I didn't mean to wake you," I say sheepishly.

"It's a sight I wouldn't mind waking up to," he smiles gently.

"You don't have work today, do you?" I search his eyes which softened when he shrugged.

"I do have my personal doctor at home, what stupid person would just leave that?" He teased and I gave him my biggest smile.

After lazing around for a couple more minutes, I decide to wash up my face and headed back to the bed, already deciding to spend the entire day in it.

Once I lay back in it, preparing to stretch out my arms like a little kid, Ace suddenly turns my head towards him slowly before leaning down to kiss me.

At first, I was surprised since we haven't done anything too steamy ever since coming back from the hospital excluding a couple kisses here and there.

The kiss starts off slow, his mouth seeming to devour mine with every second he makes it deeper. Then without a warning, he deepens the kiss greatly sliding his tongue into my mouth and picks up the pace.

My hands automatically go to his hair, his body on top of me. When he starts to slow down, I decide I haven't had enough. So as he's pulling away, I take his bottom between my teeth gently and flip our position so I'm on top.

He seems surprised but I don't slow down as I move to his neck, finding his sweet spot and biting gently on it. The moan I earn from him makes me eager to continue, but before I could, I'm flipped to my back again in a daze. However, he just stares at me, breathing heavily before pulling himself up to sit on the edge of the bed.

Confused, I sit up as well only then I see his dark blush probably means that he didn't expect me to go to the extremes.

"That's one way to wake up," he chuckled happily, his eyes twinkling with unsaid laughter that I voice out, both of us panting, him ever so slightly.

"You started it," I say giggling.

"I'm going to take a shower, feel free to join me," he winks my direction.

"Don't tempt me King," I joke.

His laughter echos the room as he heads to the bathroom and me downstairs. Finding nothing interesting after whipping up pancake batter, I turn on the T. V. letting my blood run cold.

"Please, his name is Peter. He has dark brown hair and beautiful brown eyes," my body freezes as Pete's mother holds a picture of him.

"Ray? I've been calling you," Ace says, but I don't tear my vision from the news.

"He's been missing for weeks now, I don't know where he is, please," she pleads, her eyes swollen from crying.

"Ray?" Ace intertwines our fingers, looking at me worriedly.

I needed to say something, that much I realized, but no words would come out as I looked at the screen mortified.

"This is my fault," I whisper, almost to myself.

"What is?" He says slowly, not wanting to rush me.

I point at the screen where it was now the news reporter giving more facts about him. This caused Ace to get even more confused.

"They tortured him right in front of me," Ace's eyes go wide before turning cold, waiting for me to finish. "He helped me get back here, after getting dropped here, we were both kidnapped. They didn't need him I think so they slowly killed him."

I let this happen, I should've known better than to let people in. There are so many things I would've done differently.

I'm snapped out of thoughts when Ace thumb wipes away the stray tear that I didn't realize has escaped.

"It isn't your fault," he said sternly, sounding as cold as I've seen him whenever Antonio or Daniel are mentioned.

"How about you go back to bed? I'll head out for a couple of minutes," he stated, not really waiting for an answer as he speed walked to the garage, roaring his car to life and taking off. His eyes held no emotion before he left me standing in the living room, thinking about the pancake batter that won't be eaten.
