Jeongguk wakes up wondering why the couch feels smaller than it had the night before. He realizes that Jimin is encased in his arms, curled up to his side with his hand pressed against Jeongguk's chest.

Just as Jeongguk had wiped the sleepiness out of his eyes and was about to press a soft kiss to the top of Jimin's head, a loud alarm sounded throughout the room, startling him.

Jimin jumps up, eyes wide and looking around before landing on the boy next to him. His face flushes a tomato red as he stutters out, "I-I'm sorry..." He attempts to unwrap himself from Jeongguk's arms but is only pulled tighter into the boy's chest, soft lips placing themselves on his forehead.

"Don't be sorry. I like being close to you." Jimin's face deepens in color as he lets out a nervous giggle.

"Ah!" Jimin suddenly shouts out. "I have to get to work!" He pushes up off the couch and out of Jeongguk's grasp, looking around wildly to try and find his shoes. He spots them leaning against the wall and quickly makes his way over to them, nearly falling as he slipped them on. His hand was on the door handle when a voice stopped him,

"Wait!" Jeongguk sits up from the couch, barely able to keep up with Jimin's running around. "How do you plan on getting there?" A smirk forms itself on his face, his head tilting to the side slightly.

A flash of fear shows through Jimin's eyes as he remembers the gut wrenching motorcycle ride. He shakes his head and responds in a 'matter-of-fact' tone,

"I'm walking." He opens the door and listens as Jeongguk rushes to put on his shoes and follow the boy outside, the early morning air whipping against his face and waking him up.

"Jimin, I'll drive you there! You'll be late if you walk."

Jimin stops in his tracks, thinking over his options. Be late, but be alive. Be on time, but run the risk of death along the way. He sighs and continues to walk forward, heading towards the motorcycle to Jeongguk's surprise.

"It didn't take much to convince you today."

Jimin plays with his fingers nervously, looking at the threatening bike. His eyebrows were scrunched together as his focus never left the motorcycle.

"I knew you wouldn't leave me alone if I didn't accept your offer." Jimin takes a deep breath, nervousness seeping out of him.

Jeongguk places a helmet onto his head and then onto Jimin's, caressing the boy's cheek after clipping the strap together.

"Don't worry. I won't let you get hurt." Jeongguk takes Jimin's hand in his own, intertwining their fingers as he leads him to the bike. He squeezes Jimin's hand before letting go and hopping onto the motorcycle, once again grabbing his hand to pull him onto the back.

Jimin lets out a scared mumble as he grips onto Jeongguk's waist, preparing himself for the ride ahead. The motor starts up and Jimin jumps in his seat, the loud noise startling him.

Jeongguk lets his thumb trace over the back of Jimin's hand, trying to calm him before beginning to move forward.

"Try opening your eyes! It's not as scary as you think."

Jimin shakes his head aggressively but peeks open one of his eyes to take a glance. His gaze is met with the quickly passing asphalt underneath them. His breathing quickens but his eyes continue to look around, focusing anywhere but the ground below.

The little shops and cute dogs passing by put a smile on Jimin's face, despite his heart still beating a million miles a minute in fear. In what seems like a much shorter time than the night before, they arrive in the hospital parking lot, Jimin's grip slightly looser.

Jeongguk helps Jimin off the bike and grins at the happiness spread across the boy's face, his windblown locks a mess and his cheeks red from the cold air.

"See? Not so bad." Jimin nods.

Jimin heads for the hospital doors, turning around to wave goodbye.

"I'll pick you up later."

Jimin smiles and replies back a small, "Okay."

Jeongguk taps his lips. "Goodbye kiss?" Jimin looks down, debating whether or not to go through with his request. He scurries back to Jeongguk placing a quick kiss on his cheek, giving Jeongguk just enough time to secretly slip a small piece of paper into Jimin's pocket.

Jimin turns away and speed walks towards the hospital doors, a pink blush adorning his cheeks. He steals one last glance at Jeongguk before the doors shut behind him.

He walks towards the resident's lounge when an arm wraps itself around his shoulders. Jimin looks over to the taller boy next to him, looking away immediately after.

"Are you alright, Jimin?" Taehyung looks towards the flushed boy.

Jimin stares at the floor as he coldly responds, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"Yesterday...I'm s—," Jimin shrugs Taehyung's arm off of his shoulders and turns towards him, cutting him off with,

"Just don't bring it up. Please." He walks away and pushes the door to the lounge open, leaving Taehyung with a sad look in his eyes. He walks off, caught up in his own thoughts.

Jimin begins to undress, putting on his scrubs and folding his clothes. As he pulls his phone out of his pocket he notices a small slip of paper flutter towards the ground. Confused, he picks it up and sees messy letters covering the lines.

Kitty,
I won't let you forget this time. Text me.

(***) ***-****

- Jeongguk;)

Jimin smiles at the note, putting the phone number into his contacts. He begins to fold up the note when a voice echoes from across the room.

"What's that?"

Jimin jumps in surprise and looks over to see Yoongi sitting on the couch. He stands up, sauntering over to Jimin and snatching the note out of his hands. His eyes glance over the words before he looks back up to Jimin.

"Ooooh, passing notes now are we? Hoseok tells me that Jeongguk never stops talking about you." Yoongi drags out the last word, saying it almost song-like.

Jimin blushes deeply and grabs the note back, placing it carefully in his employee locker.

"Stop it, Yoongi." Jimin pouts.

"Awww, so cute." Yoongi pinches Jimin's cheek, earning a slap at his hand from the boy. Yoongi feigns pain, only stopping his dramatic display when he hears a giggle coming from the shorter boy in front of him.

"So...." Yoongi leans closer to Jimin, "Do you like him?"

A blush covers Jimin's face, heat radiating from his cheeks as he gives a small nod, small enough that you would miss it if you weren't looking for it. Yoongi smiles his gummy smile and pulls Jimin into a hug.

Yoongi releases him and sends him on his way, reminding him to checkup on the recent patient in room 226. Jimin nods and leaves the room, his cheeks still coated in a pale pink.

Later that afternoon, Jimin had just finished his scheduled surgery and was walking down the hall towards the vending machine. Suddenly he's pulled by his wrist into a corner facing the waiting room.

Jimin loses his bewildered look as he glances up to Taehyung.

"What do you want?" Jimin tries to pull his arm away but can't escape Taehyung's grasp.

"I just want to ask a few things." Taehyung glances around, making sure no one is too close to the pair. He suddenly began shooting off questions and thoughts towards Jimin, "Is he nice? He doesn't force you to talk to him, does he? He could be dangerous. You barely even know him, Jimin. Who knows what kind of stuff—"

"Why do you care?!" Taehyung flinches back at Jimin's tone.

"Jimin, I'm just looking out for you. Don't you remember medical school—"

"Don't bring that up. You don't know anything, Taehyung!" Taehyung looks down, his eyes becoming slightly watery. He blinks away the tears and looks back to Jimin.

"You used to tell me everything, Jimin. What happened?"

Jimin's eyes cloud over as a booming voice echoes through his head, bouncing around and seeming to come from all directions, "Tell me everything, Jimin. No secrets. You have to tell me everything."

Jimin is brought out of his thoughts by the soothing voice of Taehyung, much different than the one cluttering his mind.

"Jimin? Jimin, are you okay?" Jimin blinks a few times to see the worried boy standing in front of him.

"Thanks for worrying about me, but I can handle myself." Just as Jimin finishes his sentence the sound of the hospital doors opening dragged both of the boy's attentions to their right. In the doorway stood a certain brown-haired boy, ready to pick up his shorter companion.

Jeongguk eyes Taehyung's grip on Jimin's wrist, slowly moving his eyes upwards to send a glare towards the taller boy. Taehyung releases Jimin's wrist as Jeongguk approaches.

Jimin stands silently, looking at Jeongguk. Jeongguk looks between Taehyung and the silent Jimin, trying to determine the situation and then proceeds to break the silence by announcing, "Come on, Jiminie. I'm here to take you on our 'get-to-know-you' date!"

He smiles sweetly down at Jimin who's cheeks heat up just slightly. Jimin allows Jeongguk to intertwine his fingers with his own and pull him towards the doors, only sending a single look to Taehyung.

Taehyung solemnly watches as Jeongguk says something to Jimin that makes him laugh out loud, his smile once again put onto his face.
