I comb through the piles of papers I have scattered on the dining table in order to locate the necessary ones; certifications and validations.

"Are you ready?" I glance up to find my angel standing at the bottom of the staircase with black jeans, a white shirt, and a black jacket. A smile graces my lips at the sight; he can be so sexy.

"Yea," I mutter, and putting the affirmations inside my bag, we head towards the door.

"I'll be quick, you can wait here if you want," I propose once we reach the entrance of my old school. His lips part to speak but his phone rings from his back pocket.

"It's my lawyer," He announces as his eyebrows connect in a frown.

"I'll be quick," I peck at his lips, though, he cups my cheeks and deepens the kiss. I giggle and run into the school.

I walk through the long alive and noisy corridors of my old school. I remember everything and even recognize some of my past classmates and acquaintances; I don't stop to talk to anyone. I glimpse Clary walking beside Emma when I enter the administration office. During some signatures, my phone rings, and the name of my angel flashes on the screen.

"I'm still inside," I mutter as my fingers continue writing down.

"I'll fetch them in a sec with the signature of the principal." The woman behind the office informs me with a broad smile. "At the time, you can go to your locker to gather your stuff,"

"They are still there?" I ask, surprised. I would have sworn they threw my stuff and gave it to someone else in need. She nods and disappears.

"Why are you so surprised?" My angel asks through the line.

"You heard that?"

"Yea,"

"I thought they would offer it to somebody else, given the time that has passed," I move towards my locker having my phone in my ear while my eyes travel around me, drinking in the environment I passed so many hours in.

"What did you lawyer want?" I open my locker and, for a moment, I stare at the pictures that hung at the sides; of my parents and friends. He explains the last news his lawyer announced to him but another person's voice distracts me.

"Amelia," I turn to my side and George stands at my side.

"George, hi,"

"Don't you dare hang up," Corbyn's voice erupts a giggle in my lips that I cover with a cough before I place the device in my locker.

"I wanted to apologize for last night," I place the photos and some books I had in my bag. "I just got upset, I'm sorry," I smile briefly at him; that's the George I've known all my life.

"It's fine,"

"You like him?" I close my, now, empty, locker and lean on it as I turn my whole posture to him, taking the phone in my fingers.

"No," I decline. A hint of hope flashes through his green eyes. "I love him," His face falls.

"Would you give us another chance if your parents didn't..." He leaves the sentence unfinished as the volume of his voice decreases.

"I don't know. Everything has changed so fast since then. I can't think about the what-ifs,"

"I don't understand," His voice rises a bit and my eyes move around. "I just...we have known each other for so long and you know him for what? Several months? What does he have that I don't?" His last question flabbergasts me. I stay stunned gaping back at him. Although I can't lie, I have to tell him the truth.

"I'm crazily in love with him, George. He makes me feel unique and special and cherished without even trying. He makes me feel so many emotions that I never thought was possible. I know we don't look suitable for each other and we're very different but, honestly, I don't care. I have never felt so happy and good with myself in my life. And he's the reason."

"Are you sure he feels the same way though?" He inquires, the hope in his eyes glowing, faintly.

"I am," He stares at me without uttering a word. The sounds of the people around us is filling the silence between us.

"I should go..."

"What about us? About Emma and Eliza, Clary? You are just going to walk away from your life?" I shake my head at him.

"I already have a life. Only a different one. I'm changed and my visit here only proved to me what I already knew. The new me can't live like this. I want you to be happy, all of you, and go to the Chicago University," I tell, reminding him of our common choice of college. "That's what you want. Though, it isn't my journey anymore,"

He's floored and astounded by my words. The pain flickering in his hurt green eyes. I take a step closer and place a chaste kiss on his cheek.

"You were my best friend. I'll always remember you for that,"

"Promise me," He whispers and I frown.

"Promise you what?"

"You won't lose touch. I know things are complicated between us but I want to know that I can call you once in a while,"

"Sure," I smile before he hugs me.

After gaining the verifications I want, I head to the entrance. In my way, a lot of people seem to remember me; I greet a few of them. When the silvery thud of the school gate closing behind me sounds, arms wind me and lift me off of the ground; my toes in the air. I take hold of his upper arms not to collapse. He tightens his grip on me as his tongue finds mine in my favorite, devouring, and addictive way of all.

"Crazily in love with him?" He snickers and I look up, stupefied. A flush of redness kisses my cheeks when I recall that I, actually, never hang up. He chuckles seeing my shy reaction.

"Well," I start, deciding to embrace the challenge. "It's true,"

His heavenly grin flames my heart shattering it in pieces yet it doesn't hurt, it flutters merrily.

"Now, are you going to allow me to hang up, or..." I begin recalling that I never ended the call and it's still on. Yet, he doesn't let me finish.

"Me too," He whispers. My soul explodes in absolute happiness and I push my lips in his without thinking about it twice; our bodies are attached perfectly as if we complete a puzzle and we're the only missing pieces. God, I love him so much.

Who is ready for a double update? That one was pretty small without any Amelia-Corbyn moments, wasn't it? By the way, have any of you thought of a ship name?
