My eyes swiftly move back to the book, "that's...that's not mine" I told Lauren without looking her.

"Oh sorry another person must've dropped it then", I could sense the playfulness in her tone which makes me wonder.

Did she actually knew it was me!? I mean how? I was so certain I moved fast, maybe faster than flash.

"Are you sure you don't want to borrow it tho? I mean it seems like a good read" she continued and I shook my head but she keep insisting me the book.

"Lauren she already said no if you want to read it just check it out" Cara interrupted, which let me out a sigh of relief, she's a life saver.

"Oh please I'm not talking to you Cara...but sure I'll check it out" she rolled her eyes before grabbing the book.

"Hey! Your library card?" Cara sternly said but Lauren did not look back as she walk away.

"I really hate that girl" cara muttered as she realized she couldn't stop her.

I guess a lot of sassiness is indeed bad.

"She's just so full of herself I mean don't you just hate how arrogant she is?" She asked me and I look at her with uncertainty of an answer.

"I mean I don't really know her that much" I shrugged.

Suddenly I felt my phone ringing so I had so excuse myself from cara.

"Sorry I have to go I'll catch up with you later" I told her and she nod at me "take care".

I walked outside and pull out my phone to see my mother calling me, i always think every calls are emergencies so I never silenced my phone and immediately answer it.

"Hello? Is there something wrong?" I asked as soon as I picked up.

"Oh no sweetie I'm sorry for calling you in bad timing, but I won't be able to go back to market today so can you please go there after school and buy things I forgot to get?"

"Yes of course I can do that mum"

"Okay I'll send you the list oh and use your allowance for a while I'll just give it back when you arrive home"

"No need to worry about that" I smile and hanged up the phone, shoving it back to my pocket.

As much as possible I'm trying my best to help my mom around because she has no one to count on but me, I mean dad's always busy at work, so I make sure to assist her with everything.

walking to Gigi's current class to wait for her since the period is almost over, I notice Lauren leaning against the wall not so far away from where I'm standing. Actually she's exactly at the classroom where gigi is.

Soon enough the bell rings indicating that the period is done everyone is going out from the room.

I keep my distance right where I am until I saw Gigi come out from the room, and as soon as she saw Lauren her whole face expression has changed, but when I thought she's gonna walk away, they start confronting about something.

And to my surprise Lauren held her hands and gigi doesn't seem to be bothered but follow her as they both walks towards the other way.

I confusedly scratch my head.
