Reaper's POV:

I checked the lost of souls I had to reap, finding it finally empty. For a past week there was a war in my AU and I didn't have any time to rest or visit my dear friend, Geno.

'Speaking of which, maybe I could kill two birds with one stone and visit him and then rest there?' Sounds like a plan.

I used my scythe to open a portal to the Save Screen and went through it. As I arrived there I noticed surprising lack of Geno. My mind immediately went into panic mode.

'He can't leave the Save Screen without dying! He could be in danger! I need to find him!' I tried to sense his soul but I couldn't concentrate enough.

I decided that I don't have time for that and just started opening portal to random AU. If I'll be in the same AU as he I should be able to sense him.

I ran through portal, nothing.
Another, nothing.
Next, nothing.
I ran through the AU's and my panic only grew, what if I was to late?
'No he couldn't have died without me reaping his soul.'

That though was what kept me going, I was tired and my legs hurt but wouldn't stop till I'd find him. There's no other option.

3 person POV:

As Reaper scrolled through the AU's an new yet familiar being noticed him. That being was Error the dark boned skeleton felt some sort of familiarity when he looked at the black cloaked one.

He couldn't tell what it was exactly but... he felt like he should help the skeleton. He opened a portal right before Reaper's new one making the emblem of death land in the antivoid and not the AU.

''Why were you running through the AU's like madman?'' Error asked, a spark of anger appearing seemingly out of nowhere in him.
''My friend went missing. I had a lot of work and I couldn't visit him and when I finally had time to do so he was gone! I have to find him as soon as possible, he's gonna die outside of his AU!'' Reaper answered as tears welled up in his eyes.

Yet another strange feeling hit Error, a mix of relief and regret. He didn't understand why was he feeling this.
''What's your friends name?'' maybe when he'll know the cause of all of this he would understand?

''Geno.'' as the cloak wearing skeleton said that a wave of memories hit the glitch.

+flash back+

He was sitting in the black void all alone. Reaper had long since left and it felt like he wasn't there for ages.

'Did he got bored with me? Does he not loved him anymore? Or did I made him think that I don't love him?' Self destructive thoughts filled the skeleton's head.

'No he abandoned me.'

The red and white skeleton stood up.

'He left me after he said he wouldn't.'

He focused all of his magic to create a portal.

'I don't need him anymore.'

Tears fell from his eye as he knew, this was a lie.

'He doesn't want me anymore.'

He stepped through the portal, now finding himself in a white void.

'I just need to forget about him.'

His body glitched and twisted as he screamed. He was no longer Geno. Now he was Error.

+flash back end+

Tears fell from Error's eyes as he remembered and he realised- he was wrong. Reaper didn't abandon him, he just couldn't come, he had no choice.

If only he was more patient, if only he had more hope. None of this would happened.
''A-are you okay?'' Reaper asked. He was confused, did this skeleton know Geno? If yes, why was he crying all of the sudden.

His questions were quickly answered.
''Geno is dead.'' Error wasn't lying, he was no longer that little tsundere skeleton. He changed so much, he was a whole new person. 'Geno' was gone and he wasn't coming back.

Reaper's eyes winded in horror. That couldn't be true he didn't reap his soul. He couldn't be dead, hs friend, his love, Geno couldn't be dead. Tears streamed down his face like waterfalls as he hugged himself.

He failed, he failed the only person he ever loved. Was he really that much of an failure? Reaper felt arms wrap around him, he didn't care who it was he just needed comfort. He clung the the person before him like his life depended on it.

Error on the other hand couldn't help but feel guilty. He made the only person that loved him, the only person that he loved, cry. He hugged the Grim Reaper tightly and rubbed circles on his back. He will do anything to make it up to him.

That a promise he was gonna keep.

Reaper's POV:

It's been few months since Error told me the news about Geno. He didn't tell me any details, I wanted to know more but I didn't pressure him into telling me. It seemed to be personal.

Me and Error soon became friends, at first we visited each other to cheer up or make sure the other was alright. But it quickly escalated into hanging out on daily basis, and me going with him whenever he had to destroy an AU.

Yeah I know about that. He told me a week after we met, at first I was shocked but when he explained why he did this, I decided that I would help him. Eather as an emotional support or just making everyone die before he came.

I still don't understand how such beautiful and delicate creature can be so dangerous.

I must admit my feelings for Error seem to be stronger that to a friend. But I also can't help but feel I'm trying to replace Geno. I think I still need some time to move on from him.

But maybe, just maybe, over time I could.....

Find a new love.
