Agate woke up on what was seemingly a hill, and looked around. Trees, flowers dotting the grass, and clouds painted across the sky, but looking...wrong. As if just part of a cartoon. The wind blew in his face and then Agate realized just how peaceful it was here. Yet, it all still seemed wrong to him.

Before he could take all his thoughts in, he felt something behind him.

"Who is it?" He turned to see who it was. It was a red leaf. He looked much, much older than Eileen, but shared enough features to prove a resemblance.

"My name is not important. You see this place? This is my kingdom."

"Why is it so empty?"

"Things have recently changed. You had a friend who bent reality to make worlds he promised his friends. And he caused my kingdom to be depopulated. All my subjects are gone," the leaf spoke in monotone but hypnotizing words.

"Are they really all dead?" Agate asked, horrified.

"No. More, rather, scattered in the world you fainted in. Of course, this is not the only place in this strange universe. However, it is my domain, and I am here to take something I left here back."

The leaf went silent and walked in a circle around Agate, as if examining him.

"You don't speak much, do you," he remarked. Agate then remembered what caused him to faint.

"Why am I here?"

"You know someone who has a personal connection with the king soon to become the 'Broken Sun'. I want you to prevent it. The threat he will pose to both of us requires cooperation. If he does accomplish his plans, then he will ruin this place far worse than your friend did."

"You want my help. Thing is, I know someone close to you too. Close in looks, anyway."

The leaf looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I bet you know who Eileen is." Agate smugly smiled at him, betting he had made the correct distinction.

The leaf had a look on his face that conveyed he had not planned for this at all. But he quickly calmed himself.

"That's not important. What is important is you stop that Crown from waging his war and dethrone him."
The leaf looked up, directing Agate's attention to a castle he thought was apparently floating in the sky. But a moment of observation could distinguish the outline of a large hill which the castle rested upon.
His mind began to fog, as the leaf began to change. He started to look younger and stronger. Agate saw a crown on his head. The blur of illusion affecting his vision and breathing like being under water. Agate shook his head, thinking to himself, trying to clear his head. He shouted.

"I am Agate Necklace! The Last Remaining Prince of Juvelia! I am not your subject! Get away from me and send me back!"

The illusion faded, his vision cleared and the old leaf laughed.

"You are more formidable than I expected. Be gone, I shall bother with you no more." He waved his hand and it all went black one more time.
