They fell about 20 feet before all hitting solid ground.
Agate got up and rubbed the dirt off of his face and looked down.

"Well, we're fucked." He said with a tone of humored dismay. The words echoed back, as if the new canyon was mocking him.

Kama got up next. She shook the dirt off of her cloak and forced everyone else up.

"Get up, get up, get up! We need to get to that castle now."

Eileen looked at her like she was crazy. "What's with the rush? Aren't you the one who's all about stealth and martial arts?"

"Stealth and martial arts are quiet and deliberate, not lethargic and slow." Kama replied with an uncharicteristic sternness.

"Fine, let's go." replied Eileen.

"No. There are too many of us. Only five of us can go. So aside from you, me and Kama, only two can can come." Agate said.

Launch Pad spoke up. "Arrowhead and Levi can go. The rest of us will get back to the lab. If most of us are hurrying back, Soshi will think you decided to retreat."

"Fine." Agate began making the long unnerving descent down. Eileen, Levi, Arrowhead and Kama followed suit. The rest made their way back up.
