"Subhanallah, Walhamdulillah, Lailaha illallah Wallahu Akbar...

It's the best way to purify your heart and know you'd be loved by the merciful one........" Maher Zain.

The distance from Alhaji Sunusi's house to his parents was a fifteen minutes drive, He entered his car and impatiently kept tapping his palm on his knees waiting for the agonising minutes. When the car halted at the gate of the house, he sighed not seeing a crowd or anything to comfirm his fears. He rushed out of the car, dragging his heavy babban riga with him, the first person he saw was a heavily pregnant Safaa, coming out of her own father's house, her eyes swollen and pufffy. She hurriedly came to him, scooted a bit and with a very hoarse voice, greeted him.

"Safaa, how are you?" He answered heading inside the house.

"They are not here, they are all at the hospital" She hiccuped wiping her tears.

"Hospital?" He asked with a shaky voice.

" Yes, please take me with you, Maa refused to go with me" She pleaded using her Hijab to wipe her tears.

"Can you tell me what happened?" He asked when they got inside the car.

"I don't know Kawu, I just heard Maa having a phone call, I think something happened to Baba" She wept.

"It's okay, Everything is fine in shaa Allah, just calm down" He consoled her but deep within he was trying his best not to break down too.

What if something terrible had happened to Abubakar?

Thoughts kept flooding into his mind and he had no idea when they reached the hospital, Safaa called his name and brought an end to his reverie. They walked side by side to the hospital, Safaa watched as he asked questions and at last they were led by a nurse to a room. When they walked inside they saw her father sleeping peacefully with a bandage around his head, Baa and Inna were seated on a sofa, their eyes all on their beloved son.

" Ya Allah, What happened to him?" Alhaji Sunusi rushed to the bed scrutinizing his brother's face.

"They had an accident while coming back from your house" Baa stared at his eldest son squarely.

"Inna where's Maa?" Safaa asked her grandmother when she sensed Baa was going to have a serious talk with his eldest son.

"I told her to go and pray, You will find her at the Masjid" Inna answered and Safaa nodded before trudging out.

Baa kept staring at him, making shivers run down his spine, Alhaji Sunusi had never seen his father looking so angry, he moved to where his parents were seated and dropped on his knees, with his hands folded, he felt like a monster knowing he could have lost his brother, the person he did not even regard just an hour ago, he recalled old times, how his brother adored him and made him his mentor and how he could sacrifice everything for him, he realised how horrible he had been to his family.

"Baa find it in your heart to forgive me" He pleaded holding Inna's hand.

"I always pray for you Sunusi, Alhamdulillah you've realised your mistakes and I hope you won't go back to being influenced by your power or wife, I just want my son back and I have forgiven you" Inna smiled.

"Baa..."

"Don't" Baa cut him off.

" Please Baa" He begged.

"Now won't you let me talk?" Baa raised his brow and continued.

" I can forgive you Sunusi, but what about the damages that you've caused? The damages that Turai has already done? What about Safaa? What about her feelings?"

"Baa I promise you Turai would never dare try seperating this family ever again and as for Safaa, I'll ask for her forgiveness by myself and if she's not willing to go back to Ahmad's house, then I promise you I will accept her decision wholeheartedly"

"Well then, what about your brother?" Baa asked.

"I have forgiven Yaya already" Alhaji Abubakar who had opened his eyes some minutes ago said.

"Then I've forgiven you too, if only you won't go back to being the man you were an hour ago" Baa patted Alhaji Sunusi's shoulder.

"Thank you" He smiled rising up.

"I thought you'd keep kneeling ai, I guess you have started joining the oldies clique now" Baa joked when he saw Alhaji Sunusi slightly limping while he walked as a result of the way he knelt.

"Habu how did the accident happen?" Alhaji Sunusi asked his brother.

"It's not a serious accident Yaya, I will be fine soon in shaa Allah" Alhaji Abubakar informed them of how it occurred and they continued chatting.

Inna smiled inwardly thanking her Rabb, it had been years since she saw her old husband genuinely happy.

Hajiya Turai managed to walk to her apartment seething in anger, her rage clouding her eyes, she felt like squeezing the life out of something and she wished she could just do something to hurt Safaa, to make her feel the anger she was feeling. She took her phone and dialled Zarah's number, telling her of what happened.

"Yes Mama, I never thought you could do that too" Zarah informed her sincerely when she finished narrating everything to her.

"What are you saying? It's Safaa we are talking about, I don't like her, I can do anything to the person I don't like" Hajiya Turai fumed.

"But why?" Zarah asked.

"Ke what is wrong with you? Did losing the baby affected your brain?"

"No Mama, it actually cured it's dysfunction, and please find someone who's interested in your shenanigans, I can't be your tool anymore, the nurse is here for my afternoon drugs,so bye" Zarah told her and ended the call.

Hajiya Turai was still finding it hard to believe what Zarah told her when Salman walked into her room. He sat beside her on the king sized bed and calmly begged her to let go of her anger and all the hatred for her to find peace.

"You'll have peace of mind if you do that Mama and only then will I consider you as my mother"

"And you think doing that will make me change Salman? I am your mother how could you?" She fired but Salman only shrugged and left her room.

Hajiya Turai vowed to get her revenge, she made up her mind to carry out a malevolent act on Safaa, something that none of them would suspect that she was responsible, only then would she find the peace of mind Salman was talking about.

Mommy also barged into her room minutes after Salman left, she gave her a fierce glare but Mommy seemed unfazed, she ignored it and told her what had happened to Safaa's father.

"And why are you informing me that? I don't care, they should go to hell if they want to"

"Allah ya baki haquri" Mommy sighed and began walking out of the room.

"Mtsss" Hajiya Turai hissed taking her phone to dial a number.

She needed to act fast before her heart bursted because of anger.

"Maza" She called the name of the person when he answered the call.

"Hajiya? Say it and it will be done in a blink of an eye wallahi" He answered laughing evilly.

"I want you to do something for me and it has to be by tomorrow" She said.

"Alright, but how can I get her? I mean I just can't go to her father's house and do what you just explained, how will we do it?" He asked when Hajiya Turai finished telling him about what she wanted him to do.

"Her father had an accident, I know she'd be in the hospital, or wait I know we will visit him tomorrow so if she's in the hospital I'll let you know, for the meantime send me your account details"

"Alright Hajiya, Allah ya biya" He cheered.

"Amin" She smiled evilly ending the phone call.

She had vowed to deal with anyone who tried humiliating her and Safaa did the worst of thing by telling her sons about Moudu, now she would do something that's worst than it even if it meant she would go to jail.

When Safaa reached the hospital Masjid, she found her Maa staring at the beautiful rug splayed on the marbled floor, Safaa hugged her and they silently cried, both of them unable to imagine how life would be without the only man that would move mountains just to please them.

"Baba will be fine" Maa was the first to stop crying and began consoling Safaa.

"In shaa Allah, I just..." Safaa hiccuped.

"It's nothing serious, didn't you see him? Stop crying, You are not supposed to be here, I thought your labor would start if I had informed you about the accident" Maa smiled teasingly.

She knew how Safaa did not like talking about her childbirth.

" I came with Kawu" Safaa sniffled ignoring the last part of what her Mama said.

"Really? You guys have started getting along I see" Maa smiled, stood up and kept the Qur'an back to the place she took

"Oh please Maa, he was shocked too and maybe he acted nice put of pity"

"Shut up, why are you now a pessimist? Now let's go meet your Baba" Mama chuckled intertwining their hands.

"Well maybe because of what my life turned out to be"

"Don't say that, always hope for the positive things, How's my soldier today? He's been kicking right?"

"Maa please stop saying it's a soldier, I want a princess" Safaa pouted.

They walked into the room and found their superman already leaning on a pillow laughing to an old joke Baa had told them, Safaa was suprised to see her Uncle so jovial and carefree, she had never seen that side of him and she felt creepy.

"Safaa come here" He smiled.

She carefully went and sat beside him on the lush carpet beneath the sofa Baa and Inna were sitting.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I am now fine Kawu" She answered awkwardly.

"Safaa why are you acting like he's a stranger?" Her Baba laughed seeing how she was scared to go close to her Uncle.

"Baba" She whined.

"So you're just like my Abidah" Alhaji Sunusi grinned.

"Or maybe worst than Abidah" Inna intruded.

"Well Safaa is the only child Inna? What do you expect?" Baa snickered.

"Let me begin with you Fadimatu, please forgive me for treating you with so much disdain, I'm so sorry for letting your daughter go through so much in my house and in my son's house also" Alhaji Sunusi begged for forgiveness sincerely.

"I hold nothing against you Yaya" Fadimatu smiled.

"And what about you Safaa? Do you forgive your old Kawu"

"Well Kawu if you're old then what will I call this parents of yours?" Safaa stuck her tongue out at Inna.

"Don't let me use this stick" Baa laughed pointing his walking stick at her.

"Don't ever ask me that Kawu, I understand everything, Inna is still ruling Baa's kingdom too" Safaa winked at Inna and the old lady just shook her head.

"You this girl" Inna complained.

"What? Am saying the truth" Safaa smiled cheekily.

And they continued chatting like one big happy family, unaware of what Hajiya Turai was planning.

πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€

The next day, Safaa woke up early and cooked her father's favorite meal although she was feeling some cramps and was close to her delivery date. Her Mama had become too serious about things concerning her health so whenever she felt a pain, she tried her best to mask it and not let her mother suspect a thing. She was elated to see her father and Uncle getting along, she had never seen the funny and caring side of her Uncle and she hoped he would be like that forever.

Her Mama went to the hospital early and when Safaa was done cooking she drove herself to the hospital. When she parked her car at the hospital, she met Mommy and Hajiya Turai walking towards the entrance too.

"Look at you" Mommy beamed welcoming Safaa with a hug.

"I know Mommy, I look kinda huge" Safaa grinned knowing Mommy would comment on how blotted she looked.

"Don't worry, You're almost there aren't you?" Mommy smiled.

"Yes in shaa Allah" Safaa laughed nervously glancing at Hajiya Turai who was glaring at her like a lioness who had seen a prey.

Safaa did not attempt to greet her knowing she would not even return it. She chatted with Mommy all the way to her Baba's room. Upon entering the room, she saw Ahmad and Salman and the smile on her lips faltered, she was trying to avoid meeting the two of them, because Salman would ask about her decision and she was not sure of what she had decided. She greeted them albeit feeling uneasy because of the stare Ahmad was giving her, his eyes were trying to tell her a message, he wanted her to come back home since their parents are now on good terms, but then there was still one huge problem.

Hajiya Turai.

Hajiya Turai fumed when she saw the glances the couple were stealing, She hissed gaining her eldest son's attention.

"Mama, You'll keep hissing if you don't let all that hatred go" Salman moved close to her and whispered.

She acted oblivious what he had told her, she came to the hospital only for one purpose and she wanted to achieve it so she waited patiently and when Safaa informed her mother she wanted to go home because she was not feeling okay, Hajiya Turai inwardly screamed out of joy. She excused herself and walked out of the room to make a phone call, she had to inform her man he had just five minutes to do his task.

After Hajiya Turai left the room, Alhaji Abubakar cleared his voice and asked his daughter.

"Are you okay Safaa?"

"I'm okay Baba, am just tired I guess, You'll be discharged later right?" Safaa yawned walking to her father.

She stopped by his bed and smiled weakly.

"Are you sure you can drive back home? You don't seem okay to me"

"I'm okay Baba"

"Alright then, take care" He smiled.

"I cooked your favorite, eat a lot please, I love you Baba" Safaa whispered the last paet, not wanting her Mama to hear that because she would scold her for being a baby.

Alhaji Abubakar chuckled and mouthed an "I love you too" to her and she took her bag and began walking out after saying goodbye to Mommy and her mother. The hospital room was so spacious and the two men were sitting far away from Alhaji Abubakar and the women, when Safaa passed them, she smiled and waved at Salman, he lightly pinched Ahmad and whispered a follow her to him.

"Can't you see she was ignoring me" Ahmad mumbled getting her attention.

"Kawu, Ahmad can drive her home if you don't want her to drive" Salman went further into the room and informed his Uncle, knowing Ahmad was too stubborn to offer doing that.

"Alright then" Alhaji Abubakar smiled.

"Stop acting like a teenager and try getting your woman back, if you don't get her back before I leave then you're on your own" Salman walked back to Ahmad and dragged him out of the room.

Safaa kept shaking her head amusingly when Ahmad did not attempt talking to her even after Salman left them at the reception. A text message came through her phone from Abidah and when she read it, she began laughing and it irritated him. He stopped walking when they reached the parking lot and she rolled her eyes before heading to the space she parked her car.

"I didn't ask you to take me home you know" She shouted at him trying to bring her car key from her bag.

She had to shout for him to hear her, because he was far away from her.

"Alright bye" Ahmad said and began walking back to the hospital slowly, he wanted her to call him back but she ignored him and went ahead to enter her car.

She was about to unlock the car when she saw a man coming out from beneath it, the man did not expect to see her and he seemed shocked and the man was oblivious that there was someone with her hence he tried shoving her from his way so he could run away.

"Excuse me, what were you doing under there?" Safaa asked moving away from his way before he could touch her.

"That's none of your business woman" The man informed her, his voice sending chills down her spine.

"But that's my car" She said blocking his way and placing a hand on her waist to show him she's a bit brave.

"I don't care" He spat pushing her out of his way.

Safaa hit her back roughly on the car parked beside her own, she let out a scream gaining Ahmad and the security men's attention. Ahmad ran back to the parking lot calling out her name. When the man heard Ahmad's voice he attempted running away but Safaa used one of her hand and held his hoodie tightly, he tried removing it but she used her handbag to hit him hard on his head. This time around he punched her baby bump and she let out an agonising scream before slumping down on the floor.

He felt triumphant and was about to escape when one security man hit him on his head with a gun, he passed out thinking of his worst failure.

Not able to get Hajiya Turai's job done.

πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€

Dan Dan... Guesses on what he was doing underneath her car???

What did Hajiya Turai ask him to do this time?

This woman is always troublesome, who wants her dead?

I don't want her to die anyway πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

I hope Safaa is okay☹☹
