"The door was open and it was about to rain so I just came in...I'm so sorry for ignoring you, Rieka. When you weren't replying to my messages I didn't know what to do. I didn't realize that I messed things up so badly," Jayden immediately blurted out his apology.

I ran to him, wrapping my arms around his shoulder and my legs around his waist. "I missed you so much," I whispered into his shoulder and his arms slowly pressed on my back. "You're not mad?"

"No I'm not, why would I be?" I asked.

His shoulders shrugged," I guess when you didn't reply to my messages I thought you were," he assumed. My eyebrows pulled together at that. It was the second time he mentioned some messages that I had no idea what he was talking about.

"What messages are you talking about?" I asked, dropping back to my feet. His facial expression seemed confused. "I sent you a couple of messages the day after you left," Jayden confusingly explained.

"I never got them. And I never messaged or called because I was giving you space," I admitted. What messages he was talking about? Was he telling the truth? If so how come I never saw any messages?

"I did not need space, I needed my sister," I winced at the sincerity and sorrow in Jayden's tone. "So what happened to the messages? Why did I never get them?" I mostly asked myself.

"That's because I deleted them," my eyes snapped to Evander. That wouldn't make sense. Saying that was a lie because my phone was in his room for more than twenty-four hours.

"Why?" I simply asked. He sighed, pinching his eyebrows together before dropping his hands to his sides. "Because he was just going to convince you not to come to my pack," Evander sighed.

"Well that was the plan," Jayden mumbled softly. Evander's eyes darted to Jayden. "Never," he growled out. Even if Jayden wanted to take me away, I was already marked so it was impossible. "No one is taking me away from this pack. Why didn't you just tell me, Evander?"

"I rather not have this conversation with him," Evander threw glares at my brother.

"Just answer the damn question already," I groaned at him.

"He leaves," Evander bluntly stated, going against me. "I'll go, you clearly already made your decision," Jayden huffed.

"What decision?" I asked Jayden. He sighed in response, looking around the room. "You aren't going to give mom and dad another chance? They're the people who raised you! Who gave you everything in life! you are who you are because of them!" Jayden shouts at me.

"Lower your fricken tone when you're talking to her," Evander growled, pulling me to his chest. "They lied to me for twenty years, Jayden!" I shout back.

He laughed wickedly with glaring eyes burning my skin. "He's a vampire! The enemy! Why is he so important? You're always protecting the wrong side!" Jayden snapped at me, not fully shouting. I knew his words were thrown at me for choosing Evander as well.

"You're blinded by them! Imagine if mom went with another man and told you all your life that Joseph was dead when he was alive, in another pack, chained to a wall for two decades, imagine if Joseph was never in your life, he missed out on your childhood and everything," I ranted, my words just flying out of my mouth without even thinking. I was broken that Jayden was thinking this, that he was choosing their side.

Yes, they are his parents and they are excellent parents but lying to me and what they did to my father was something I don't know if I can forgive.

His eyes soften with guilt and then I realized that what I said got to him. "They did what they did for their selfish reasons! My mother threw my father away like nothing when she met her mate. Yes, she probably fell in love with Joseph and didn't love my father anymore but the way she went about with things was terrible and they lied to me. They never even planned on telling me and I had to find out myself. I don't know if or when I would ever get over that," I continued. One single tear slid down my cheek without my permission.

"I...I'm so sorry," Jayden's shoulders sagged as he apologized. My heart ached for him. I ran out of Evander's grip to hug my brother. Even though he was my half brother, that meant nothing to me. He was my brother.

He hugged me back tightly, welcoming my hug. "I'm so sorry," he apologized again. "It's alright, it's gonna be okay," I assured him. When I was sure we both were okay I pulled out of the hug. "There is no way you're gonna come by to the Royal pack, huh?" He frowned.

"I'm already part of this pack," I softly stated. He sighed," I know, I felt the disconnection," he replied which was a natural thing. I can't be part of two packs.

"That doesn't mean anything though, I will come and visit and you guys can come here when you're free. We can go to those fancy dinners you love so much as well in the city," I suggested. Jayden smiled softly, seeming better and there was no rage to be seen.

"I should get going then, I have work tomorrow," he changed the topic, glancing at the door. "You can stay if you want," I suggested, feeling guilty that he drove for some hours only to talk to me for some minutes. Jayden shook his head. "No, it's alright, I have to go," he decided.

We hug again before I walked him to the door, Evander remained quiet through it all while leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest. When Jayden left and was walking across the street to where he parked his jeep, I stomped my way back to Evander.

"Sit," I ordered, throwing my glares to the sofa. He sighed and followed my order. "I did it because I didn't want you to think that I was going soft I guess. I need you here with me, Rieka and after what happened last night I need you even more," Evander softly explained, nuzzling his head into my neck. One of his hands draped around my waist as we sat side by side.

"I'm not going anywhere, especially with this rogue problem," I assured him.

Our lips pressed together and in a matter of seconds, everything that happened today just floated away. It was just him and I along with the sparks dancing below our skin and the fire running through our veins.

I'll never get enough of him, despite everything. I think it's stupid that I was already falling for someone who turned my life upside down. Sure, he made it better eventually but was it too soon?

Was I confusing lust with love?

It's crazy how quickly things got heated. It was like I couldn't control my body as I began to rock my hips, my fingers pushing away his unbuttoned shirt. When did he pull me to straddle him? I'll never know since I was too captivated by his lips.

"We should stop," Evander breathlessly stated, our lips falling apart. Yet, his body went against him as his lips fell to my neck, inching closer and closer to my mark. "Should we?" I finally replied, my chest arching into his back as the wave of pleasure hit me as he kissed the mark, gently sucking on it. My fingers pulled his messy hair when he did it again.

Finally, his shirt was off and I felt times better that I could roam my hand around his chest and somewhat to his back. I could feel the hotness of his body as my fingers felt all the detailed ridges in his stomach.

"No," Evander responded before his lips crashed down on my lips, his hand driving up my body and under the jersey, slowly taking it off. Our lips only fell apart and my hands rose to the air to take off the jersey, leaving my top half almost naked. His eyes went wild and darkened with lust when he finally saw all the littered hickeys and love bites scattered on my skin.

"All mine," I hear him mumble before his lips molded against mine.

My hands fell to the buckles of his pants and I wait patiently for him to stop me and when he doesn't I continue to take them off. My knees fell beside his legs and as if we were communicating silently, he lifted his hips and pulled his pants and boxers off in one go.

I squealed when I felt his hard thickness pressed against me. My face in his neck as he chuckled at my innocent embarrassment. Evander gripped the hem of my pants and was already tugging them off. I raised my hips and legs as the pants went down until it was off my body and we both were bare in front of each other.

"Condom," Evander groaned, his head falling back on the backrest. "I'm on birth control," I blurted out, leaving out the reason why which was terribly painful and sometimes irregular period cycles before I was on it.

His eyes lit up and the grip on my hips tightened. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked, referring to me riding him. I nodded, raising my body. His tip pressed perfectly at my entrance.

"Shit," he cursed, his eyes screwing shut as I began to lower into his length. I gasped as his thickness stretched me beautifully, only making me lower onto him completely. My eyes were blurring and fogging out of the pleasure and lust being shot through me.

I could tell Evander felt it to by the way he throws his head back, his eyes widening, and the looseness of his jaw. "Oh God- Evander," I whined but certainly came out as a moan as I swallowed him completely. His entire length was perfectly buried inside me, already hitting the spot that craved him the most.

"Damn, love, you feel amazing," he finally says, gripping onto my hips. I totally agreed with him and I haven't even begun moving. That only gave me encouragement as I pushed up on my knees, my legs straightening only to bend back as I slowly lowered back on his length.

"Fucking shit," he cursed and I repeat my movements, gripping onto his shoulders to quicken my movement. Our lips find each other again, and I lose myself in him, driving my body up and down on him, bouncing myself at the same time as circling my hips around this thickness. Evander seemed to drive me crazy again as he reached his hips up to meet mine.

"You're going to be the death of me, princess."
