[ So before any of my readers that like medical and science stuff or even if you know about it come at me for saying wrong things I just want to say that I know nothing about the procedure and operation things. Google helped me with the small equipments mentioned.]

Immediately, I mind linked three other nurses to come and help me. It was more than the doctor inside of me that wanted to save his life. It was hard to but I tried to not freak out and saving him. I tried to push the thought that I was his mate and focused on him. "Sir I need you on a bed now," I grabbed his arm and walked him onto the bed next to Alpha Evander.

Holy shit, I'm mated to an Alpha.

Shut up.

"What happened? Why aren't you healing?" I asked the stranger while I tore apart my mate's jersey to see his wounds. Bullet wounds.

"You're dying," I whispered. His heart was beating low and I wondered why they didn't call me here sooner. "It's Beta Brandon and we were ambushed on the way here by rogues, they had guns loaded with silver bullets," Beta Brandon explained. I already knew they were silver bullets. He is the beta of the pack.

I've heard rumors that Alpha Evander was the only werewolf that isn't affected by silver. Silver is the only thing that could kill werewolves and slowly as well. It's the only thing that we can't heal from but it is possible. I could save him. I guess the rumors were true because he isn't dead yet.

I grabbed the knife and silver plate ready to get the bullets out when the three nurses ran into the room. Beta Brandon let out a threatening growl making them turn around and leave the room. "You're going to hurt the man's ego if he let anyone see him dying. You do know who he is right?" Brandon narrowed his eyes at me and I nodded. Of course, I knew who Alpha Evander was.

"Good then I suggest you follow his rules," he said with a smile. I stopped myself from rolling my eyes, "You got shot as well?" I asked him as I turned back to his alpha and started tearing through his skin. The toxic blood oozed out more and more as I found my way to the bullet. Beta Brandon waited until I got the bullet out of his chest using the tweezers then to answer. "No, only cut by silver knives," he answered. "I need to bleed you out after I clean your wounds of any silver matter," I nodded to myself. That should work.

What to do first? The more time those bullets remain in Evander the less time he has. If I treat Brandon last he would still live no matter what. Even if his blood is infected we could fix that with time.

Evander it is.

I used the tight elastic around my wrist to tie my hair into a high bun and washed my hands with soap before resuming. This soap was my favorite scent and in a matter of minutes, that changed. I shake my head to get rid of the thought and threw on one of the doctor's coats that were on the rack as well as blue gloves.

"When did this happen?" I asked Brandon while I continued working on Evander. I tried not to focus on how incredibly strong he looked or even how paper cut sharp his jawline was even though he was resting. "Ten minutes ago, He saved the king and when the rogues went away he just collapsed. I think it was too much for him...he didn't get any rest since the attack at our pack," Brandon hesitantly replied, worried about his alpha. I wanted to ask where and why but instead I shut up and focused on the important thing in front of me.

His darker skin contrasted with a major difference against mine. Not to mention most of it was red tinted by dried blood. One after the next, I pulled out all of the bullets in half of an hour. There were twelve total and even for a werewolf, that's a lot. I made sure his wounds were cleaned and the process of healing started before going to Brandon. "Take off your shirt," I ordered while I grabbed new materials to clean Brandon. "What?" He asked, raising his eyebrow at me. This time I don't hold back from rolling my eyes.

"To clean the gashes, dumbass," I hissed. Brandon's eyes narrowed at me as he slowly stood and stalked his way in front of me. "That isn't the way you should be talking to a Beta," he informed me, his tone filled with power. Not going to lie, I was affected and was intimidated but I wasn't going to let him know that.

"You think I have a low rank because I'm the pack doctor? I am the daughter of the royal beta, my brother is going to be the royal beta in two weeks, I'm best friends with the princess and I share a castle with the prince," I flatly tell him," you were saying?" I tilt my head to the side and squinted my eyes.

"Nothing, do your thing I'm fed up with this," he muttered. I smirked knowing that I won against a powerful Beta. Sure I showed off my connections but I still won.

Focus.

I grabbed everything and changed my gloves before sitting beside him. Now he was shirtless and was laying on the thin mattress while I used a small washcloth and hydrogen peroxide while I cleaned the gashes. Once I was done and the blood was gone, I patched him up with gauze and used the butterfly needles and drainage tubes to filter out his blood. "I need you to sleep so your body can focus on recovering for itself. Do I need to knock you out with sedatives?" I calmly asked Brandon while packing away everything and throwing away the used pieces of cotton and gloves.

That's not the proper word for it, sedatives, but I'm sure Brandon wouldn't understand what I'm speaking about. "I'll be fine on my own, I'm tired anyway," he shrugged with his eyes already closed. I took this opportunity to look at Evander again. He looked much better since I cleaned his face with a washcloth since blood was splattered on his face and he did have a gash on his eyebrow from a claw but that was already healed.
He looked so peaceful and vulnerable.

"Your father got shot with a silver bullet," the king's voice rang through my head making me run out of the room.
