They say that you only experience true happiness once in your life. And I guess I was now experiencing mine.

As soon as I read Dylan's tweet, I knew the place he was referring to.

Italia's. Where I had had lunch with Tyler that day I figured that I really did like Dylan more than I thought. Tyler must have told Dylan about it.

The rest of the shoot for the day went without a hitch. But I didn't have any scenes with Dylan so I didn't see him again to talk to him.

Instead my scenes today were with Amelia, Harry, Tyler and everyone else except for Dylan.

As soon as I got out of the dressing room, now wearing my clothes I did a silent happy dance.

The clock read 5:40.

I had just enough time to run to the apartment put on some clean clothes and then run down to Italia's.

"Ms Hunt!"

I turned around at the sound of my name being called out. "Yes?"

My mood instantly soured as I looked at James. "What do you want?"

He smiled sadly. "Mr Tate wants to see you in his office."

I nodded. "Okay. Thanks, I guess," I muttered as I made my way to Declan's office.

"Oh and... Al-Alex?"

I turned around again and arched a brow at my ex boyfriend.

"I'm sorry. Really, truly sorry," he began. "It was beyond wrong for me to do that to you."

I nodded, slowly.

"I shouldn't have done what I did. And I know I lost you forever and that I have no right to expect things to go back to how they were even when we go back home."

I nodded. "I know."

"But I am sorry and I'll regret what I did for the rest of my life."

"Was it worth it?" I asked.

He shook his head fervently. "No."

I half smiled.

"I know we won't ever date again because of what I did, but..." He paused, hesitant. "Do you think we could...try to mend our friendship?"

I thought it over. Before we dated, James was a nice guy, one of my good friends back home. Besides, we grew up together. Our families were practically long life friends. "I guess we could try."

He smiled a full smile finally. "Thanks."

"But you are officially my servant for the rest of your life, Mangy."

He chuckled. "I wouldn't think of anything else."

I nodded before walking over and giving him a friendly hug. "I'll see you around?"

He nodded. "Oh and tell Dylan, that if he ever hurts you, his balls are on the line."

I chuckled at his threat. "Will do."

I found Declan's office five minutes later and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

I opened the door and walked in.

"Alex," Declan smiled as he directed me to sit down.

I sat down in front of his desk. "You wanted to see me?"

He nodded. "I just wanted to say that... your performance so far has been superb."

I smiled. "Thanks Mr Tate. But I had a lot of help."

He nodded. "And it was an absolute pleasure to work with you."

"You too."

He smiled. "I was thinking that since there's about a month left for filming then production is another two months..."

I nodded.

"...what do you think about another job?"

I stared at him, confused. "Another job?"

He nodded. "I have another movie lined up after this and casting has been made yet, but I think you'll be the perfect person for the main lead's daughter."

My eyes widened. "Are you serious?"

He nodded.

"This isn't a joke, right?"

He nodded again.

"Really truly?"

He nodded as he laughed. "Yes, Alex, I'm not joking here."

"Sure thing then, Mr Tate. I'd love to audition for the movie."

He smiled. "Glad to hear that, Alex. Here's the main producer's number. Just call him and discuss a few issues with him, okay?" He handed over a business card with the number written below some scribbles.

I nodded as I took the card, before thanking him again.

As soon as I left Declan's office, I dialed the number.

"Hello Alex," a deep voice said from the other side.

I nearly stumbled as I walked as I recognized it.

Flynn Mathers.

* * *

The clock on the dash read 6:47 when the cab pulled up in front of Italia's.

The restaurant was dark, and I was conscious of the fact that maybe I had gotten the place wrong.

Maybe Dylan had meant another place.

I immediately dialed Dylan's number.

He answered on the third ring.

Before I could even say a word he cuts me off, "I can see you. The door's open. Come in," then he hung up.

What is he planning?

I walked up to the main door and turned the door handle. It was open.

"Dylan?" I called out as I stepped inside the restaurant. "Dylan?"

Suddenly a video starts playing on the wall opposite me. A projector displaying the video.

"Alex," Dylan's voice comes out from the speakers.

I stared at the wall and a picture of Dylan shows up.

"I can only do this with the camera rolling. You're so intimidating face to face. Besides, I'm an actor what can you expect , right?" Video Dylan says before chuckling adorably. "You know when people say that there are two people in the world that are destined for each other and for no one else? That despite all odds they'll get together."

I rolled an eye.

Dylan laughs. "You just rolled your eyes didn't you?"

My eyes widened. He knew me too well.

"I think we're one of those lucky twos. I think despite everything, we're meant to be. You never knew this, but a couple of days after I moved in, you woke me up when you screamed. I stayed put because you would've obviously thought I was a pervert if I came running into your room. But five minutes later, you came out and went to the kitchen. That night I was lying on the couch. Remember number 37? I like it that even though you are obsessed with chocolate anything, your favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry like me. That night was when my favorite ice cream flavor became strawberry. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you made me the man I am today. Less spoiled. Less arrogant. But more handsome. I liked the fact that you didn't care about me being the Dylan Rush everyone knew. You made me want to work hard for someone's approval. Your approval."

I smiled at video Dylan. I had undoubtedly fallen for this idiot.

"Tyler told me that you think I'll leave you. That would be absurd. In fact, I'm afraid you'll be the one leaving me. You're everything I'm not. Even though you experienced the worst betrayal, you still come out on top, smiling. But even though you're smiling, I know you're still hurting. And that that hurt would lead you to leaving me. That's why I guess I tried so hard to fix your relationship with your father. I was hoping that if you fixed it with him, you'll give me a fighting chance. But hopefully the forty-nine reasons why I like you have made you change your mind."

I smiled. It had.

"But if it hadn't, I hope this one will..." Dylan smiled before he disappeared and the restaurant darkened.

"Dylan?" I called out into the darkness.

A spotlight appeared to my right, where a table was covered with red satin and with a candle in the center.

A nervous looking Dylan stood next to it.

Then he walked over and stopped just in front of me.

"Reason number fifty," he began, as he looked deep into my eyes, a genuine smile on his face with a tinge of worry in his eyes.

I smiled up at him encouragingly.

"I like that you made me fall in love with you," he finished.

This time out of the five times we'd kissed (three from filming), I was the one who instigated the kiss.
