Confrontation and I don't really go together.

It's like trying to mix water and oil, or peanut butter and anchovies. They just don't mix. No matter how hard you try, or no matter how hard you mixed the liquid for hours on end, they just don't mix.

My other confrontations like between me and Jennifer Walters, the mean girl in school ended with me and a bowl of punch at the homecoming dance, my white formal dress destroyed beyond repair. In the end I was the one coming out at the bottom.

The only confrontation I'd survived to date was the one with James a couple of days ago. And that only happened because I didn't give him a chance to say anything.

But judging by the arctic glare Tyler was giving me, he had a lot to say and wouldn't resist telling me what he thought. And his eyes were filled with questions; questions he expected answers to. Half of which I was confused of myself.

Luke, or Lucas was a different story altogether. He was smiling, looking glad about my shocking presence. "Alex!" He walked towards me and pulled me into a tight hug like we were long-lost buddies, totally misleading the fact that we'd only met once, at the B&B.

"Hey Lucas," I smiled, glad by his warm reaction.

"So," he pulled back and looked at me with a simple confused expression, "you know my older, less attractive brother?" He nodded towards a now blank faced Tyler.

"Brother?" I asked, skeptical as I took this time to stare at them both carefully. They didn't look a bit alike. Their hair color was different. They HD somewhat different features and body build.

Tyler had a broader shoulder then Lucas and his body was harder, or at least I think it was, considering that the checkered shirt he was wearing was hugging him at the right places. He had that arrogant asshole look about him that just manages to get the girls whereas Lucas had the whole Abercrombie hard-to-get player look to him. He was wearing a black polo shirt that suited him to perfection. Other than their gorgeous looks, the only similarity I concluded as I looked at both of them was the stormy grey eyes that they both had that despite their many impressive features, was I thought their best.

Lucas chuckled as if he had already heard what I was thinking a lot before. "Why is it so hard to believe that?" He laughed again. "Yes, we have the same parents."

"Sorry," I apologized, worried I'd offended the only nice guy I'd met so far in this accursed city.

"Don't worry about it," he brushed it off as he waved a hand befpre he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "But how do you two know each other?" He asked curiously as he glanced from me to his brother.

I kept quiet, unsure on how to explain our less than orthodox meeting.

I sneaked onto the movie set to surprise my ex, ran into him, then slapped him on our second meeting, ran away from him on our third whilst ignoring his warnings of an audition happening in a room I was running into. No, that definitely without a doubt would not go well. I wasn't saying that at all.

However, Tyler thought my silence hinted at him to relay our meetings and my embarrassing lack of good judgment. "She was the one who sneaked onto the set and gave me this little shiner," he pointed at his cheek which was back to it's tanned tone. Not a mark or imprint of my hand was on it.

"You're blowing it totally out of proportion. It wasn't that big of a deal." I defended myself.

"That's easy for you to say. You were the one doing the slapping."

"Stop being an over-dramatic girl, Tyler," Mrs Laurent chose that moment to interrupt and for that I was truly grateful. Tyler looked at his grandmother, displeased. "I'm pretty sure Alex has apologized for that little incident. Right, Alex?"

All eyes focused on me now. Even Mrs Rush who had entered the room with a bowl of mashed potatoes. I nodded. "I... Yes, I did," I answered. "I am sorry about that Tyler."

He just scowled before looking away.

"Now, since Tyler's elaborated on his connection with Alex here," Mrs Rush said, "what's yours?" She faced Lucas.

"Oh, me and Alex are pretty tight," he replied, a smug smile on his face. I didn't know meeting once and conversing for four and a half minutes, half of which I was ogling him, could  be deemed 'pretty tight'? "Right Alex?" He eyed me.

I nodded, somehow I knew he wanted me to nod and agree with his absurd omission of the truth.

"How'd you-" Mrs Rush began but gets cut off by Mr Rush.

"Come now, Ange dear," he interrupted. "We can do this whole interrogation ordeal later. Everyone is famished. For now we eat. Conversations for later."

"Oh so sorry. You must all be hungry for sure," Mrs Rush blushed before inviting us all to sit and eat.

Lucas occupied the seat next to mine immediately. Mrs Laurent had now moved the the end of the table whereas Mr Rush sat at the other end with Mrs Rush standing next to him. Tyler remained standing.

"Seat Tyler!" Mrs Laurent's tone led me to believe that Tyler had no choice in the matter. He was to sit immediately.

Since the table was a huge one, an eight chair one, Tyler had the option of sitting next to me or sitting next to Mrs Rush or Mrs Laurent. And due to Mrs Laurent's previous tone, I was sure he wanted to avoid her, which left me and Mrs Rush. I hope his clear distaste of my company would keep him well clear and away from me.

This time I was blessed. Tyler didn't even hesitate before sitting next to Mrs Rush, which left him directly opposite me. Luckily about ten inches of mahogany wood separated us, but still it wasn't long enough.

After a word of thanks from Mr Rush everyone dug in, except for me. Lucas had taken it upon himself to plate up a leg of chicken, a casserole, Caesar salad and a side of mashed potato with gravy. I waited until he also plated up and took the first bite until I did the same. The food was heavenly. Utterly heaven.

The conversation was open at first, one in which everyone took chances asking me questions. Everyone except Tyler of course.

Whatever his problem was, he needed to stop blaming me for it.

"Where are your parents?" Mr Rush asked.

"Back home," I replied. "They didn't wanna... come here," I replied before shoving a spoonful of mashed potato into my mouth." I didn't even want to think about the reason behind that. Flynn Mathers.

"Why not? This would've been a great family vacation," Mrs Rush inquired.

"Uhm... They prefer a quiet life. They don't really like the whole lavish lifestyle thing," I did my best to answer. That seemed to be an honest answer. Lavish lifestyle that my father led.

"Oh well," Mrs Laurent tried to dismiss the tense atmosphere. I didn't think twice about their lifestyle and that I'd just dissed it indirectly. "I'm sure there's a good reason behind that."

I nodded along before biting into the delectable chicken.

"How'd you meet Gregory?" Mrs Rush asked.

"Uhm..." She was talking about Sir Jerks-A-Lot! "I literally ran into him," I answered.

Everyone laughed, of course except Tyler, who was busy biting into his chicken with a scowl.

"That's sweet," Mrs Laurent cooed.

Not really!

I just smiled along before biting into the chicken.

"Isn't she such a peach?" She added.

Both Mr and Mrs Rush nodded.

"Gregory picked the right one this time, didn't he?"

Both of them again nodded.

What did they mean 'picked'? Did that jackass mean to run into mean, break my phone into shambles and keep me stuck in this city? Was he somehow involved with my biological father? Was this his plan all along?

"Alex," Mr Rush began as he looked at me, expression entirely serious.

"Yes sir?" I answered.

"How long have you and my son been dating?" He asked.

I waited for the punch line. Or the 'Gotcha' exclamation followed by laughter, but it didn't happen.

"What?" I exclaimed.

Did they think I was dating Sir Jerks-A-Lot? Well, that would explain a lot! What the-!!!!

"How long have you and Gregory been dating?" He repeated, and again with that serious look.

"Uhhmm... I'm so sorry Mr Rush. But you have got the wrong idea here!" I got up. "Me and Sir J-- Gregory are not in a relationship." I tried to explain.

"Oh, you're not exclusive yet?" Mrs Rush asked.

I shook my head. "No, you see. We're not in a relationship. Not like that and never will be!"

Everyone in the house was confused, even Tyler.

"But-"

"Thanks for the amazing dinner," I said, "but I think I've over stayed my welcome." I shot them an apologetic smile before walking out of the room and exiting the house. No one had still said a word.

Shit! Shit! Shit! I muttered as I closed the door behind me.

I felt bad, even though it was not my fault. It was all a misunderstanding. One that got me a free dinner and made me miss my flight!

I'm sexy and I know it!

I'm sexy and I know it!

I jumped an inch as the ringtone came on from inside my pocket.

The jerk's iPhone 6 and the cause of all this misunderstanding was a ringing with a simple 'Sexy 4' listed as the call ID.

Considering this was that arrogant guy's phone, Sexy 4 could be one of his bimbos.

I let it ring out.

A few seconds of silence passed before the same ringtone came on again.

'Sexy 4.'

Well, the bimbo was persistent.

I let it ring out again.

A minute later, the phone rang again.

The screen now read, 'Sexy 3'.

What the hell? Was today the Bimbo- Call In Day? And why the hell did the jackass leave me his Bimbo Call In Line?

I answered, "Listen slut," I said, really getting annoyed after the day I'd had, "Call all the other bimbos and tell them to get the asshole's other number and call him there, okay?"

Chuckled echoed from the other end. "Jealousy, Alex, really? I knew you'd come around."

It was the devil himself.

"Why haven't you been answering my calls?" He asked.

"That was you?"

"Yes. Who else would it be?"

"Why did you call yourself 'Sexy 4' and 'Sexy 3'? I thought you were a bimbo?"

"Because, Alex, of two reasons. I am sexy and... I know it."

"You are so full of it Gregory."

"Gregory?" He sounded surprised. "How'd you know that? Only my fam-" A pause followed. "Alex..."

"Yes?" I was inexplicably nervous. Although his voice was lower than before, it sounded scary.

"Why the hell did you meet with my family?" He sounded pissed. Actually, he sounded beyond pissed.

"Uhm... You see it was all a misunderstanding. They thought I was your..."

"My what?" He snapped, impatiently.

"Your girlfriend," I supplied.

"You are sooooo dead, Alex Hunt," he said. "I'm on the next flight out of here. Meet me at the place we planned to meet at. Oh and Alex?"

"Yeah?"

"Bring along a lawyer," he said before he hung up!

Shit! Times a million!
