I'm not a morning person. I always hated waking up early for school, because I preferred to stay in bed. The only day in the whole school year I didn't have a problem waking up was the first day of school. After six weeks of summer break, there was always this feeling of hope and excitement that the following school year would be better in every way possible. In reality it wasn't. It was always the same. Every year.

Now that I had a reason to wake up early and I knew the following day was actually going to be exciting, I even had some spare time in the morning. That's why I decided to walk to the campus, where the boys trained.

Since I don't have the best memory when it comes to remembering streets or where to drive, I used Google Maps. Getting lost on your second, technically third day would be quite embarrassing after all.

I had already spotted the campus a few minutes later, since I didn't live far from it.

Suddenly I felt a presence next to me and when I turned to face the person I was immediately greeted with a smile, which I returned.

"Morning workout?" Jamal nodded.

"I like to run, to clear my head," he explained and I nodded in understanding.

We exchanged a brief hug and continued to walk next to each other.

"So, you're really gonna watch us train every day?"

"Until I find something better to do, looks like it," I shrugged, "But I don't mind, it's quite, uh, entertaining watching you guys,"

"I could tell," he replied and I raised my eyebrows questionably.

"You looked pretty entertained yesterday, you were laughing pretty much the entire time," Jamal explained.

"Shouldn't you concentrate on training?" I teased.

"It was the first day," he shrugged.

We continued walking until we reached the gates. We both had to hand in our ID's and we entered the campus.

"Why are there so little players here?" I asked after checking the clock, it was already 9:45am and as I learned yesterday, the guys usually arrive earlier to change.

"A few guys are having medical checks today," Jamal explained.

"When do you have them?"

"On Thursday,"

"So, you won't be here on Thursday?"

"Probably not, depends on how long the checks take," he said, "You're not gonna have anyone to watch though,"

"I don't just watch you," I defended myself.

Jamal raised an eyebrow, "Whatever makes you sleep at night,"

"You are way too confident," I replied.

"Too much confidence? No, I really don't think so," he chuckled.

"You're an idiot, you know that right?"

"Yet you still love me,"

"You wish," I said and we both looked at each other smiles on our faces, before we broke into hysteric laughter.

"What on earth is going on with you two?" A familiar voice said. I turned around and saw Thomas shaking his head in disbelieve.

We ignored him and just continued laughing, until we reached the locker rooms and I said a brief goodbye to Jamal before heading to the football field.

I sat down on the bleachers, while I waited for the players to arrive.

A member of the media team made its way over to me and I stood up.

"Hello, my name is Celina and I'm part of the media team here," The girl introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Isabella. Hansi Flick's daughter," I smiled.

"Nice to meet you too. I talked to Hansi yesterday and he said you had potential interest in maybe joining the media team?"

"Yes, I'd like to have some sort of task, besides just watching the training," I explained.

"How much experience do you have with social media?" Celina asked.

"Well, I use pretty much every single social network, but I don't post anything,"

"Would you like to change that?"

"What do you mean?" I looked at her confused.

"Well, you're Hansi Flick's daughter, which makes you a pretty prominent person. Your father doesn't really use social media that much, but you're eighteen. You could bring a broader audience to watch the matches or follow us online," she explained.

"I haven't really thought about that," I admitted.

Even though I am Hansi Flick's daughter, I have hardly ever been in the public eye. When I was younger I used to watch a few games my father coached, but it's been a while since I've attended an actual match. I wasn't even sure the public knew what I looked like.

"Well, just think about it. We'd love to integrate you into our media team. Since you're gonna be here every day anyway, you could join the boys in some challenges as well at first. This way you could get used to the camera," Celina explained her plans.

"It's a great offer, so I'm definitely gonna think about it," I replied. She walked away after saying goodbye and I sat down on the bleachers again.

...

It was a very hot day and the boys had a water break. Jamal joined me and sat down on the bleachers handing me a water bottle.

"Everything okay?" he asked me.

"Yeah, just thinking,"

"I'm good at listening," He smiled.

"Celina from the Media Team asked me to join them,"

"Are you going to?"

"I don't know. Probably. I mean why not, right?" Jamal laughed at my indecisiveness.

"You're overthinking things you shouldn't even have to overthink. You said it yourself, why not?" He laughed.

"I'm not the most spontaneous person,"

"Clearly," we both laughed at his words.

"Bambi!" someone shouted from the field.

"I better get going. See you later, Bella," he said.

"Bye," I smiled at the use of the nickname.

...

After lunch Jamal and I went into one of the gaming rooms and decided to watch a movie, since I didn't want to loose against him playing videogames again.

"Which movie do you wanna watch?" Jamal grabbed the remote after he turned the tv on.

"Thor: Ragnarok?" I said.

"You're a Marvel fan?" he asked surprised.

"Yes, I love it," my face lit up.

"What's your favorite movie?"

"Avengers: Infinity War," I said without missing a second.

"But that's painful to watch," he looked at me confused.

"Yeah, but it's also really great and it's the first time all of the characters team-up,"

"You're right," he nodded in agreement.

"What's your favorite?"

"I don't have one," I looked at him with a questioning look.

"What do you mean, you don't have one?" I asked.

"I like pretty much all the movies, besides there are way too many to decide," he explained. "Why'd you pick Thor: Ragnarok instead of Infinity War?"

"Because I'm currently rewatching all the movies Thor is in, since Thor: Love and Thunder is releasing this week," I told him, while the Marvel intro flashed over the screen.

We watched the movie in silence, except for the many times we laughed at the jokes.

...

After we ate dinner, Jamal walked me home. We walked next to each other, a comfortable silence surrounding us until he spoke up.

"When do you want me to pick you up tomorrow?" he asked.

"How about around 9am?" I suggested.

"Sounds perfect," he smiled.

We had reached the building my apartment was at and I was about to say goodbye, but Jamal was faster.

"Let me walk you up to your apartment," he said.

"You really don't have to,"

"But I want to,"

I nodded and he followed me to the elevator. We both reached out for the button and our fingers hit it at the same time.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

We waited for the elevator to arrive and stepped inside of it. I pushed the button for the fourth floor and we drove upstairs. I walked to my door followed by Jamal. Before unlocking it, I turned around and smiled.

"See you tomorrow,"

"See you tomorrow, Bella," he smiled.

We hugged and I went inside my apartment. I closed the door behind me and kicked off my shoes. I saw myself in the mirror hanging in my hallway and realized I was still smiling.
