𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝙥𝙤𝙫
𝗜 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗬 attention to where my name was being called by the blonde boy who was sat there with the same people from the boat.

I'm sure Kie would enjoy my company.

"Hi J" I said as i walked over to him.

"Aria!" He smiled at me raising his drink at me.

"Oh these are my friends that's Pope" He pointed to the boy on the end who was fiddling with his hat.

"You're dad is Heyward right?" I asked him curling my hair with my finger.

"Uhm yeah yeah" He scratched his neck nervously.

"And that's John B" He pointed to the boy sat next to Pope which i recognized. He worked on Sarah's boat so i seen him often.

"And that's-" He started to point to Kie but i finished for him.

"Kie" I smiled lightly at her.

"Aria" She said threw gritted teeth and the tension between us was very visual.

"It's nice to see you" I said. But it was the truth.

"Okay okay" John B placed his hand on Kie's back.

I flickered my eyes back to JJ who let his eyes drop to my chest which showed a lot of cleavage. He cleared his throat to play it off "Uh you got weed?"

"Obviously" I laughed before pulling it out of my bra and holding it in front of him.

"Sick! Can we smoke please?" He jumped up like a child.

I nodded my head at him before pulling his arm and leading him towards the beach.

"Nice meeting you!" Pope called out after us.

"You too!" I waved at him and stumbled to the water with JJ.

"Here ya go" I handed him the pre rolled blunt.

He glady took it and placed it in between his lips before lighting it.

He took a hit of it and handed it back to me letting me hit it as well.

After passing it back and forth a couple times , i could feel my body slowly slipping into the euphoria.

"Soooo" JJ caught my attention next to me.

"Let's play 21 questions" I suggested.

"Okay you go first" He took the blunt back from my hands.

"Hm okay. Does Kie like you?" I asked out of pure curiosity.

"As a friend yes nothing more. My turn! Why did your mom hit you?" He asked making my stomach turn.

"Uhm i stole a golf cart and embarrassed her in front of the country club" I scrunched my face up.

"Hm that's stupid for her to hit you" His hand rubbed against the side of my leg.

"My turn. Why did you go to the docks?" I looked down at our legs touching.

"It's peaceful , it's nice to have some quiet once in a while. Why dosent Kie like you?" He ran his fingers threw his blond hair.

"Long story. Let's just say trio turned into a duo after some big fight. Not much to say about it , Does your dad hit you often?" I asked.

"Um i-i yes but i deserve it" He shook his head looking down at his head.

I felt the guilt build up in my stomach from seeing JJ's reaction. "Oh J i'm so sorry" I placed my hand on his arm rubbing up and down.

"It's fine" He patted my leg gently before changing the subject "What's it like being a kook?".

"Horrible. I know it seems cool but it's terrible honestly, it's all about fancy dinners and going to country clubs" I sighed.

"What's it like being a pogue?" I asked smiling.

"Eh good and bad. We do whatever we want" He picked at the sand.

"Lucky , i wish i were a pogue" I formed my lips into a line.

"Let me show you the pogue life then baby" He stood up and grabbed my arms helping me up also.

We were now stood in front of each other with my hands against his chest and his hands holding my hips.

"Meet me at the docks tomorrow" He leaned down but was interrupted by John B calling his name.

"Ugh you cock blocker!" He screamed at his friend before pulling away and saluting towards me.

I sent one back and the guilt returned. I totally forgot about Rafe.

I spotted my best friend and excitedly walked over to her and Topper. "Sarah!" I wrapped my arms around her neck.

"Ari!" She hugged me back but pulled away once jj came over.

"Oh , wait. Hey , Hey. Hey, Sarah!" He ran over to us with a drink in his hand followed by John B.

"Sarah can I interest you in a tasty Milwaukee beverage?" He asked holding the cup to her.

"No,thanks" She replied turning down the boy.

"Is it not fancy enough for you?" He asked sarcastically.

"No. We were just leaving" She wrapped her arm around my wrist.

He went to say something but was cut off by Topper "Hey, you know what? I'll take it."

"Ill...Thank you, man. I appreciate it." Topper rubbed his chin.

"That's nice, but i didn't ask you." He replied to Topper. And the tension was building.

"If you said pretty please , maybe" He laughed at the kook standing in front of him. "But you didn't"

"Oh pretty please" Topper rolled his eyes.

"Yeah. Sarah." He turned his attention back to her "Pretty please".

"JJ c'mon" I stepped in feeling the tension building more and more every second.

"No Aria you shut that pretty little mouth of yours okay? He pointed to his mouth.

"You can have it" He pushed the cup towards my best friend once again.

"She doesn't want it,you..." Topper started again.

"Okay" They started to get in each others faces.

"No,no,no,no" Sarah grabbed at her boyfriend.

"You're so funny, man." Topper said in the boys face.

"Hey" Topper flipped the drink up making it splash all over jj.

The blonde boy shoved him making him stumble back a bit.

"Dirty pogues!"

"Oh!" John B took the situation in his own hands shoving Topper.

"John B!" someone screamed.

"We're supposed to be incognito, remember?"

"Babe, babe, babe, babe" Sarah tried to get her boyfriend's attention.

"Guys? Guys!" I screamed at the two boys.

"Chill!" Pope yelled from the side of the beach.

"Hey, John B , don't make me drown you like your old man, alright?" Topper pushed at the boy once more.

"Topper!" I yelled trying to reach the two boys but was pulled back.

"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" People cheered.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

"Give it to him!" Kelice screamed from my side.

"John B , let it go!" Kiara yelled trying to stop them.

"Stop , you guys!" Sarah cried out.

"Topper! Stop!" I yelled at him watching him punch John B.

"Come on, John B!" JJ encouraged his best friend.

"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" More people screamed.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

"That's what I'm talkin' about!" JJ screamed again seeing him stand up and push Topper.

"Come on!" John B screamed "Come on!".

"Yeah you wanna go?" Topper grabbed him.

"Stop!" Sarah screamed grabbing at her hair.

"John B" Kie screamed.

"Oh! Topper!"

"Come on, Topper" John B held his guard.

"Let's go!" They started fighting again.

"Oh, my god" I gasped placing my hands over my mouth.

"Come on, man!" John B screamed again.

I watched in horror as Topper grabbed him and started to drown him.

"Topper!" Sarah yelled at her boyfriend in shock.

"Topper, stop! No!" I yelled at Topper. He was gonna kill him.

"No!"

"He's downing him" I heard jj groan and reach in his pocket.

"Topper!"

In a matter of seconds jj had a gun pressed to the back of Topper's head.

"Yeah, you know what that is" He get the gun pressed to his head "Your move, broski"

"Come on. Chill, Dude!"

"JJ!" Sarah panted out in fear.

"Chill!" Pope tried to stop him.

"Stop! JJ"

"Put the gun down." I begged jj.

His head snapped towards me as he kept the gun placed on the boys head.

"Did you say somethin' , princess?" He asked me.

"We're good. We're good." Topper let go of John B raising his hands.

"Put the gun down!" I yelled again.

"All right? Come on, man!" Kelice shouted.

"Kie! Can you check your physco friend please?" Sarah cried out.

I felt relived as jj dropped the gun and Topper ran over and grabbed Sarah and started to pull her away.

"Okay everyone, listen up! Get the hell of our side of the island!" JJ placed the gun into the air firing two shouts.

I watched as i felt frozen but i felt a arm wrap around my wrist.

I shook my head at him and started to back away as he watched me before Pope pushed him.

Kelice dragged me away from the scene as we began running to the car.

Topper was running his hands threw his hair and Sarah stood next to him rubbing his arm.

He flicked his eyes up to and began to yell at me "What the hell Aria!"

"Topper i didn't do anything" I protested. He had no reason to be pissed at me.

"I fucking saw you with the trash! Huh! Does Rafe know about him? Do your parents know! I can't believe you! He just held a gun to my head Aria a gun!" He shouted at me basically blaming me.

"Topper you hit him first! You were gonna kill John B!" I fought back.

"You wanna surround yourself around trash! Then go!" He pushed Sarah off of him and stood him front of me.

"Topper stop it!" Sarah reached for her boyfriend.

"Fuck you" I whimpered and turned away from the three of them making my way back to the beach.

Everyone flooded the beach but one person. They sat with their back to me and faced the water. Their hair was flying everywhere. Kie.

"Can i sit?" I asked her facing her back.

She must've known it was me by the way her body tensed.

"Sure" She moved over letting me sit next to her.

I took a deep breathe before facing her "You okay?"

She laughed lightly "Since when do you care?"

"Kie i-i look im sorry for what happen." I pushed my hair out of my face "I feel terrible , i couldn't control it. I should've apologized a long long time ago"

"Yeah you should've" She snorted.

"You were the only person who was their for me Ari. You completely abandoned me , and you ran after Sarah. I needed you." She turned so she was know facing me.

"I know Kie. It was the worst mistake I've ever made and i wish i could take it back but I can't , I care about you and I really needed you too. But I was scared to loose Sarah. After i just lost you. I didn't wanna be alone." I told her the truth.

"Oh. I didn't know that , I just thought you followed her because you were done with me" She looked down at her hands.

"Of course not Kie. It's never been about that." I laughed. "Kie i love you so fucking much. I tried to apologize but you always found a way to avoid me."

"I thought you just wanted to brag or something , I love you too Ari"

She looked up at me again and stuck her hand out. "We good?"

I looked at her hand and pretended to roll my eyes before reaching in and slapping our hands together like we used to do "We good"

She basically tackled me in a hug wrapping her arms around me "Thank God"

"I've missed you Kie" I kept my arms wrapped around her.

She pulled away returning back to her sitting position. "What happened back there?"

"Topper blamed me for it. Because apparently he saw me with JJ but he doesn't even know shit! And he thinks I'm sneaking around with him but I'm not and as much as i love Sarah she just took his side" I placed my chin on my bare knees.

"He's so stupid , none of us knew that JJ was gonna do that. I mean it's JJ you never expect it!" She says annoyed.

"Exactly!" I laughed.

"Um this is weird but wanna come back to my house? She stood up wiping the sand off of her.

"I'd like that" I stood up as well wiping the sand of of my white skirt.
