Author's POV || 2 years later

"Y/Nah. How long will you be like this?" Mina asked as you sighed saying, "I don't know. He said he'd be back in 3 months, it's been 6 months now. He says the same thing every day." 
"I am starting to doubt his so-called business trip now," Jungkook mumbled as Ms Lee smacked his head making him groan. Mrs Ko sighed and said, "Please don't mind him. He blabbers nonsense. The project this year is extremely important and also has made all of us busy. Plus, according to the event reports, the workload is huge so that's probably the reason for Mr Kim being late."
"Right." You said chugging down the soju as Mina spoke, "Woah... he went on such a long business trip."

Jin sighed and patted his head saying, "It's fine. Calm down, kid." You rolled your eyes saying, "Your girlfriend must be cursing you right now for drinking here. Go away, please." Jin scoffed rolling his eyes as he got a phone call. Excusing himself, he walked away as you said, "I'll go home early. I'm exhausted."
"Y/N! There's an emergency." Jin said coming in as you frowned at him. Everyone was looking at Jin who spoke, "Let's go to the ice-cream stall! We should eat ice cream." 

"How is that an emergency?! I wanna go home." You scoffed as he said, "You HAVE to come! They have a new flavour."
"Oh?! Really?? We should go then..." You said as he nodded. Soon, you all left the restaurant.

---Time skip

"This ice cream stall looks so familiar." You mumbled staring at the stall which was on the side of the road. Jin walked towards the stall along with the others as they all were ordering ice creams. You walked towards them as Jin spoke, "Take the menu and order." The owner of the stall said, "We have new flavours, you will be surprised to see them." You smiled nodding as you opened the menu to see the words, 'Turn around' written in huge fonts. 
"Why is this-" You were talking as the ice cream owner smiled at you. You looked around you to see no one. 
"Where did everyone go in a second?!" You frowned scratching your neck but took out your phone checking your buzzing notification. It was a text message from Taehyung.

'Is it that hard to turn around?' 

A gasp left your lips as you turned around to see Taehyung standing there waving at you. You looked at him with wide eyes and mumbled, "It isn't a dream, is it?" Rubbing your eyes you looked properly to see him sighing and slapping his forehead as he walked towards you saying, "It's not a dream." 
"T-Taesshi?" You asked staring at him all surprised as a giggle escaped his lips. Tears brimmed in your eyes as he smiled caressing your cheeks.
"Yeah, it's me." He said smiling as you gasped a little before hugging him tightly. He gulped and said, "Ah... you and your hugging habits... but I love it." He chuckled hugging you back tightly as you spoke, "You're so evil!!" He frowned hearing you whine and giggled saying, "I do the work, not you!"

"Whatever! You're evil! You said 3 months, but came back 6 months later?!" You asked as he sighed saying, "I'm sorry. The workload is at fault! Not me!" You frowned looking at him and said, "You can never change, can you?"

"No, I can't." He joked as you rolled your eyes trying to push him away but he held on to you firmly saying, "Is that how you treat me, meeting me after 6 months?" 
"Yes." You said as he sighed pecking your lips saying, "Sorry, I love you." 
"You're so brazen! Do you think a peck makes up for the injustice you did?!" You asked as he asked, "What injustice did I do?"
"Lied to me. And then I missed you so much." You said as he said, "No wonder you reek of soju. Were you missing me that much~~" He asked in a teasing tone as you scoffed saying, "We were doing a hangout." 

"Oh... I thought you missed me." He said in a sulking voice as you scoffed saying, "You're so annoying." 
"I know right~" He giggled as you looked at him saying, "Really... you're unbelievable. You came back after so long and all you do is tease me."
"Then what should I do?" He asked as you sighed saying, "Do you not know? Why are you so-" You were talking but got cut off by Taehyung placing his lips on yours as he kissed you. You closed your eyes kissing him back, missing the feeling as he smiled a little. Pulling away, he said, "This?" You scoffed looking away as he chuckled, leaning in about to kiss you again but you both were interrupted by Jin screaming, "STOP YOU KIDS!!" 

You flinched seeing Jin run towards you both, followed by Jungkook, Ms Lee and Mrs Ko. You frowned saying, "Where did you all go- Wait... did you all plan this?!" You asked as Jin chuckled. Taehyung smiled caressing your cheeks as you backed away saying, "You all knew?" 
"No.. I actually got a call from Taehyung when we were in the restaurant. He asked me not to tell you so I didn't." You sighed and looked at Taehyung saying, "You're really annoying, do you know that?" He sighed saying, "Yeah, you keep repeating that all the time." You scoffed as he smiled before backing away and said, "Then... can you bear with me being annoying?"

"I am bearing it of course." You said as he smiled kneeling down as he took out a velvet box and said, "Then... Will you bear with me forever?" He asked as everyone gasped. You looked at him all confused as he opened the box revealing the ring. 
"I was supposed to come back 3 months ago but... this diamond piece took more time than I expected. That's why I was in the US." He said as you looked at him shocked. You gulped as he said, "Say yes already.. my knees hurt." 

"Get up." You mumbled as he said, "Say yes first." 
"Ah.. okay. I will bear with you." You said as he chuckled getting up while everyone else cheered. He smiled getting up and sliding the ring on your ring finger as everyone cheered and clapped. You smiled shyly as he looked at you saying, "Ah... I love you."
"I love you too.." You mumbled looking down as he giggled hugging you.

"So cute!" Ms Lee said as Jungkook replied, "Truly. Ideal couple!!" 

Taehyung smiled as you tiptoed and kissed him making him smile. He kissed you back as they all were dying out of giddiness. While Jin sighed, the others were cheering like idiots. After a while, you both pulled away smiling at each other as the ice cream stall's owner approached you saying, "An ice cream for the lovely couple." 

You and Taehyung thanked him, taking the ice cream as he smiled saying, "It's decorated." 

"Woah... it has beautiful sprinkles. These seem rare though."
"Because they are." He said as you smiled looking at him. 
"What about us?" Jin asked as Mrs Ko replied, "Let's get ourselves on our own since we don't have the luck of love like them."

Ms Lee and Jungkook sighed walked towards the ice cream stall as you and Taehyung chuckled.
"Do Y/N," Taehyung spoke holding your hand as you both looked at the others ordering ice cream for the 2nd time. You looked at him confused as he said, "Thank you for being my secretary."
"Tch... you're the boss who hired me anyway." You said as he said, "You know, I love you right?"
"You know I love you too, right?" You asked him back as he giggled nodding. You looked at him and smiled knowing that the bickering boss that you once had was now standing beside you, not as a friend or a boss but as your partner, one whom you trusted with your life. 

And that was the tale of the Rude Boss and His Childish Secretary which was about to have a new start.
