Author's POV:
Your eyes widened and your body froze hearing the scream of your respective boss.
'I'm doomed!' You thought closing your eyes ready to see heaven. Taehyung rushed towards the desk as he glared at you. But this time, he was angry for real. You gulped saying, "S-Sir... This w-wasn't intentional. I-"
"SHUT UP. DO YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THESE FILES ARES?! HOW CAN YOU BE SO STUPID?! WHAT A NUISANCE!" Taehyung screamed as you looked down, you couldn't even breathe because of the scolding he was giving you. The workers outside were all peeking inside.
"I... s-sorry, it wasn't intentional-" You were trying not to stutter. Your brain wasn't even working and you didn't know what to say.
"ARE YOU A ROBOT?! WHY DO YOU KEEP REPEATING LINES? CAN'T YOU DO ONE THING PROPERLY?! GET OUT! JUST GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!" He screamed as you backed away gulping. You were feeling very irritated and sad now. One scolding would've been enough for the mistake. But he was screaming and fuming too much making you wonder if he was overreacting.
"I can just- redo the files... why are you getting mad?" You asked as he looked at you before snatching the coffee cup from your hand saying, "Get out of the room before I fire you." His cold voice made shivers run down your spine.
Gulping you bowed once getting out of the room in a rush.
"Are you okay? I thought he was going to slap you!" Jungkook spoke as you sighed saying, "Thankfully, I'm alive."
"Let's go.. don't go near him for some time. He might scold you again for nothing!" The receptionist, Ms Ko spoke as you nodded.
Taehyung who was in his cabin checked the files soaked in coffee. 'That woman! Ugh! How can someone be so clumsy?!' Taehyung thought as he scoffed before keeping the papers aside. The cleaner came in cleaning the mess.
"I have a meeting tomorrow. Without these files, I can't do anything. Even the PC's files got deleted, I'll have to find the PC files somehow and print them again. Otherwise, I'll be in huge trouble." Taehyung sighed while massaging his head as he sat on the couch. The cleaner glanced at him before leaving the room.
"Ugh! What a disgusting day! First, Mr Lee cancelled the shipments and now this. AHHH!" He cursed his luck.
Taehyung called someone asking about the PC files while you on the other hand were sitting in the break room completely not understanding why he burst out on you.
"Come to think of it, it was only a few papers. Why on earth would that annoying prick scold me like that?! He was being so disrespectful! Okay! I was clumsy but he was so rude! Completely unacceptable!!!" You complained huffing as Jungkook entered the room.
While walking towards the printing room, you saw Taehyung walking in front of you. You gulped quickly hiding behind a plant. Taehyung, who noticed you sighed pretending not to see you as he walked away. You sighed seeing him walk away.
"Tch, annoying." You mumbled before walking inside the room while you photocopied the papers Jungkook asked you to.
You placed the papers on Jungkook's desk smiling to yourself. While walking towards the break room, you saw Ms Ko coming towards you.
"Ms Y/N. How long are you going to stay in random places?" She asked as you scratched your back saying, "I don't know... I think he'll scold me if I go back." She chuckled at your reply saying, "It's alright. Mr Kim gets angry easily but he isn't a cold or rude person." You nodded still not unsure if she was even being honest.
"He's not exactly the typical cold boss I saw in dramas- but he's still, very weird! And strange... always standing on two feet to get on my nerves- and at times, bursts out in anger!" You spoke as she smiled saying, "Well, you're the second secretary he has ever had so that's why he probably doesn't know how to treat you. He's bad with females, you see." You scoffed before nodding.
---Time skip
"Call Ms Y/N," Taehyung spoke as Jungkook nodded getting out of the cabin and informing you about the situation. You hesitantly entered the cabin while looking down as he sighed seeing you.
"Yah, you. Why on earth are you not working?" He asked as you replied, "You asked me to get out."
"Eish. You-" He raised his hand a little while sitting on his seat as you backed away gulping.
"Who will do the work if you roam around in the office?! Go to work now. Recheck all the emails." He spoke as you fiddled with your fingers asking, "About today... I'm sorry for being clumsy but.. isn't it- your fault too?" He raised a brow looking at you as you spoke, "My hands were sore because of all the typing and physical work I had to do here! Isn't that all because of you? So, partially... it should be your fault too. I mean- I'm not blaming you! I'm just saying, I deserve an a-apology or s-something..."
Taehyung let out a sarcastic laugh before saying, "Are you going to go by yourself or do you want me to kick your ass out of the room?"
"That's too violent to say to a woman.." You spoke but gulped walking out of the room as he was about to get off his chair.
"Does she think I'll kick her? Tch, I have manners as well?!" He spoke sighing seeing you sitting on the desk while clumsily messing everything and trying to work.
He wasn't really mad at you anymore. He was already frustrated because of the shipment cancellation with Lee Corp. and when he came to his cabin, he saw you spill coffee on his documents which were extremely important for him and lashed out at you. He was almost hopeless about the upcoming meeting seeing the soaked documents but turned out, the documents you spilt coffee on were different ones.
As he called Mr Do, he got to know about the files which were needed for the meeting. He was the one who messed up the files and misplaced them and ended up lashing on you. But him being him with his 3000% ego, would never admit his fault in front of you. Why would he take the risk of being mocked his entire life by his secretary? No way!
"2 hours." You spoke looking at the time. It had been 2 hours since you were working and it was almost lunchtime. You couldn't believe you spent almost 4 hours from 7:30 am to 11:00 am roaming here and there hiding from Taehyung.
"It's 1 pm! I am hungry!!" You groaned before getting up from your desk.
You looked back at Taehyung who was looking at you blankly.
"To eat.." You replied as he spoke, "You're eating with me today. Let's go." You frowned at him saying, "B-But today- they have stir-fried pork..!"
"Is stir-fried pork more important than your job?" He asked as you bit your lips looking down. You followed him while your heart was burning in fire. You would've killed him by now if you could but you couldn't. Oh! How hard you were trying to hold back.
You frowned seeing him enter the cafeteria.
"But this-" You were speaking as he replied, "I like the kimchi in here. So I'll eat here. You just have to accompany me." You scratched your head nodding as a smile crept upon your face smelling the pork.
"How mouth-watering!" You mumbled rushing towards the food court just to be pulled back by Taehyung who spoke, "Patience." You sulked walking slowly while trying not to break down. Was it a favour or a punishment he was doing you?! God knew!
---During Lunch
"Mmm! It's so good-" You were speaking while eating but stopped seeing Taehyung staring at you.
"Do you want something?" You asked as formally as you could as he shook his head saying, "Do you like stir-fried pork that much?" You nodded with a smile before taking a bite. You saw people staring at you both and some were also mumbling and gossiping. You sighed saying, "Mr Kim... may I know why you're so interested in eating with me?"
"What? Hah- I just wanted to eat here today, of course! What else? Do you think I want to apologize to you or something? Never!" He spoke as you eyed him weirdly saying, "I never said anything about that... I know you won't apologize!"
He coughed awkwardly before side-eyeing you who was eating.
"How can she eat like that? Weird." He mumbled rolling his eyes though a part of him was enjoying seeing you eat.
---After work
You were pretty surprised. Taehyung didn't bother you too much today. Though it looked suspicious to you. The first 3 days of you being here, he was surely annoying and arrogant enough for you to guess his personality. And now, because he was suddenly being a little less annoying and acting weird. You were suspecting if he did something wrong.
"Something's fishy. In no way would a person like him change so easily. He is supposed to be even worse to me. Why? Because I spilt coffee on his documents! But instead, he's being nice. Highly suspicious." You were mumbling while walking out of the company building completely engrossed in thinking.
While walking towards the gate of the company, you almost tripped on the empty marble floor just to be pulled back by the collar of your shirt. You looked back to see Taehyung standing there with an 'I am speechless' look. You coughed awkwardly standing there looking at him.
"Are you that clumsy?" He asked as you looked away scratching your neck not knowing how to answer him.
"Yah, anyways, I have something to tell you." He spoke as you looked at him confused but your eyes widened hearing him say,
"I think I am- I mean, I was wrong. So... I'll apologize."
