Author's POV: 

"Ms Y/N! Mr Kim!!" Jungkook dashed into the room followed by Mrs Ko and Ms Lee who had worried expressions on their faces. 
"Mr Kim, Ms Y/N, are you both alright?" Mrs Ko asked as you awkwardly smiled nodding. Taehyung coughed saying, "I'm fine. It's just a little scratch." You squinted your eyes at him not understanding his sudden behaviour change. You could've sworn you saw him whining 10 minutes ago as well.

"Ms Y/N!!! Are you okay??" Jungkook asked worriedly as you smiled nodding.
"Yeah. You didn't have to visit us though." You spoke as he replied, "Ahhh! Why wouldn't we?? You're like our family who works with us. Your bandage on the forehead is still there... I'm sorry for not changing the stool." He spoke as you chuckled. 
"Ah! It's okay! Don't worry. It wasn't your fault, to begin with." You spoke side-eyeing Taehyung who was busy checking out the gifts they brought. 
"Ah, Ms Y/N! I brought this for you. I thought you might like it. Hospitals are boring so... I hope you can pass your time using this." Jungkook spoke taking out a set of comic books. You read the title of the book 'Dork Diaries' 

Taehyung who was grading the gifts in his mind looked at you and Jungkook hearing the noise.
"Oh!!! That's my favourite! How did you know??" You asked as he chuckled saying, "I heard you screami- I mean, talking about how much you love this series. So, I thought of buying a set for you." You looked at him softly saying, 

"Jungkook-sshi... YOU'RE THE BEST!" You showed him a finger heart as Mrs Ko chuckled seeing you both fool around. 
"They look cute together." Ms Lee spoke as Taehyung frowned at her before looking at you both.
"Oh! And I also bought matching scarves for everyone! There is a grandma who sells handmade scarves. I brought one for all of us. Here, this is yours!" Jungkook spoke handing you a scarf as you gasped. He handed another scarf to Taehyung who stared at it feeling happy to have a scarf.

"Thank you I guess." He spoke sniffing the scarf as you sighed.
"Thank you!! It's so pretty!" You spoke as Jungkook replied, "Just like you!" making Taehyung stare at him in disbelief.
"What the heck is he talking about.." Taehyung mumbled staring at Jungkook who was smiling widely talking to you.
"Ah, do you want me to help you wear it?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung gulped angrily staring at him. Jungkook was about to help you wear the scarf by putting it around his neck when Taehyung suddenly shouted, "STOP!" grabbing everyone's attention.

He adjusted his throat before saying, "I wish for some professionalism here. Putting a scarf around your colleague's neck is very unprofessional." Jungkook frowned as Mrs Ko spoke, "Mr Kim, we're not in the workplace right now. So maybe, he slipped a little. Don't mind him." 
"Weird." You muttered rolling your eyes. Taehyung glared at Jungkook who was innocently looking at others. 
Everyone was a little awkward after Taehyung's sudden lecture and minutes passed by. 

"I guess we should leave now." Mrs Ko spoke as you quickly exclaimed, "Ah! Before you leave.... we should take a walk together. The hospital garden is very pretty! And I also wanted to walk around a little but couldn't because of a highly injured specific someone who can't even move without screaming god's name." 
Taehyung glared at you knowing well you were indirectly talking about him.

"Let's go then! I want to go there too!" Jungkook spoke as you smiled. 
"I am not going," Taehyung spoke rolling his eyes as you nodded.
"I'll help you get up!" Jungkook spoke about touching your arm making Taehyung grit his teeth at you both. Even he didn't know why Jungkook was bothering him so much today. But ever since the boy opened his mouth, all Taehyung could feel was an urge to throw him out of the window. But suddenly Mrs Ko spoke, "I'll help her! You might make her fall instead." 

"I am fine! I can get up on my own. I only hurt my arm and a little on my knee but it's fine now." You spoke as Jungkook pouted a little sadly worried for you. 
"When did they become so close..." Taehyung muttered staring at you and Jungkook.
"Ah- the day you scolded her for accidentally spilling coffee on your documents... I think- that's when they started becoming good friends. But they knew each other ever since the first day of Ms Y/N in the company." Ms Lee spoke as Taehyung scoffed.

"So much right under my nose and I know nothing." He scoffed glaring at you and Jungkook as Ms Lee looked at him a little confused but shrugged. 

--Time skip

"Then we'll leave. See you." Mrs Ko spoke as you smiled bowing at them. 
"Make sure to complete all the work," Taehyung spoke as they all nodded. After bidding goodbye, they left as you looked at Taehyung sharply. 
"Mr Kim!" You spoke as he looked at you pretending not to know anything. 

"Why did you react like that there?!" You asked frowning as he ignored your question taking a bite of his choco pie.
"Mr Kim!!" You whined as he spoke, "What?! What did I do? You were the one being so carefree! You should keep your distance from men, don't you know how bad people can be?" 
"What are you even talking about..?!" You asked as he sighed.

"Yah- are you that dumb?! Why would you let a man help you wear a scarf that too in public! And showing finger hearts to people.. who does that?!" He spoke as you stared at him blankly saying, "Mr Kim. It was Jeon Jungkook, I know him. You know him, we all know him! And he only helped me put it cause it was cold but you had to suddenly throw unnecessary tantrums and scold the heck out of him!!" 
"Yah! Are you scolding ME right NOW?! Whatever, it's all your fault." He spoke as you let out a huff.

Taehyung looked at you pouting angrily while staring in the other direction as he sighed. He didn't know why he was feeling so annoyed and irritated every time Jungkook came near you. 
'It's just that I am annoyed because of being hospitalized. So much happened in one day that I almost lost my mind. Yeah, that's why I am so mad.' He thought before chewing his choco pie. 

---At night 

"Ah.. I'm so bored!" You sighed as Taehyung glanced at you sighing.
"Mr Kim. Do you want to play a game?" You asked as he scoffed saying, "Do I look like your friend?" 
"Not really. But you do resemble our school principal." You spoke giggling but looked away shutting your mouth seeing Taehyung's scary gaze on you.
"Just resign before I fire you for real." He spoke as you muttered, "Don't worry. I won't. I know you don't want me to resign or you wouldn't keep me in the company till now."

"Did you say something?" He asked as you shook your head. 

You took out the comic books which Jungkook brought earlier and chuckled opening one of the books as you started reading. Taehyung noticed it and frowned saying, "Why are you reading that?"
"Because it's a book?" You spoke as he replied, "This looks like a book from the 1900s.. surely old fashioned. Jungkook's choice is bad!" 
"This book was published 6 months ago and it's my favourite series though." You spoke as he coughed awkwardly. You sighed ignoring him enjoying your book. 

"Yah! Stop reading that." He spoke as you shut your eyes in frustration.
"Why? Did the book bite you or something?" You asked as he muttered, "Because he brought it." You looked at him confused seeing him mumble things but shrugged it off focusing on your book. Minutes passed by, you were laughing your heart out enjoying the book as Taehyung sighed completely annoyed.
"How does he even know she likes this book?" Taehyung asked himself as you heard him replying, "He's my friend so, normally, he knows, I told him I guess." 

"Why don't I know then?" He asked as you replied, "Are you my friend?" He frowned at your reply as you laughed reading the pages. 
"AH! TURN OFF THE LIGHT! I'M SLEEPY!" Taehyung screamed turning off the lights as you flinched hearing his sudden outburst.
"What's wrong with him..." You mumbled seeing him lie on the bed turning his back at you. 

"Just go marry him if he knows so much about you. Ah, Kim Taehyung- why are you so bothered?!" He whispered to himself before rolling his eyes trying to sleep.

---2 days later 

2 days passed by and you and Taehyung were discharged finally. Mina also visited you both and it was EXTREMELY chaotic and weird. But what was weirder to you was Taehyung's behaviour. He'd act more prickly and start doing suspicious things every time someone visited. Well, not like he never did those but these days his behaviour was weirder to you. 

He'd try to gain your attention for no reason and when you would talk to him, he'd give unfriendly replies, just as he always did but in extra.

"Let's go." He spoke as you replied, "Mr Kim, I have to go home." 
"What ho- Oh right! I have to go home too. Jin Hyung is here to pick me up. Wanna ride in?" He asked as you thought for a second and nodded your head smiling. 
"Then... take my bag with you!" He spoke handing you his bag walking towards the car as you scoffed.
"He's not even a man, he's an animal!" You muttered stomping towards the car. 

---In the car

"You both drive me crazy. I visited the company that afternoon and at night, you both get into an accident." Jin sighed as you rolled your eyes while Taehyung scoffed.
"Thanks to my secretary." Taehyung spoke as Jin chuckled saying, "It wouldn't have happened if you didn't go there in the first place. You could've informed me too, why did you rush in the middle of the dinner?" 
You frowned hearing Jin and asked peeking your head between them, "What are you talking about?"
"Nothing. Why are you interrupting our conversation?! Do you want to get fired??" Taehyung scolded you as you huffed leaning on the backseat where you were sitting.

Jin chuckled a little saying, "He rushed out in the middle of dinner the day you both got into the accident. It was confusing at first but turns out you messaged him in your drunken state."
