~Dorothy Sawdon~

I woke up to a stinging pain in the back of my head, spreading far to my forehead and even down my back when I sat up, making me groan in pain.

I stared at the rooom around me in slight panic, not knowing how I got here for a few seconds until it dawned on me. And I was even more terrified than I had been when I didn't know where I was.

I slept with Rachel Jones.

I had to have, I mean I was drunk, senseless and in the hands of the girl most likely to take advantage of a drunk person with nothing but my underwear and a huge top on.

I sprang from the bed instantly, darting my eyes around the neat but typical area that was Rachel's room for my clothes, ready to run away and pretend this all never happened. No, I wasn't about to kiss and have breakfast with Rachel.

I found none of my clothes littered on the floor like they should have been but instead my shoes were neatly kept in a corner of the room, clothes no where to be found.

I gave up on it, planning on sprinting out of here with just my shoes and bag. I'd give the shirt back to her if the time came.

With that, I exited the room, tiptoeing my way out of there with my arms crossed at my waist. I was in the living room now, staring at Rachel's back as she flipped pancakes in a pan skillfully like it was her job.

She didn't seem to notice me so I trudged on, not making single sound until my hand touched the door knob.

"Not staying for breakfast, Drew?" she asked, not looking my way but instead dishing out the now finished batch of pancakes and approaching the breakfast bar with her head low.

I sighed defeatedly, fully turning to face her.

"You know that's not my name" I said.

She gave me a look that I couldn't decipher and then shrugged, "Come have breakfast, I can't eat it all myself" she said.

I didn't think on it and said, "No thanks"

She rolled her black eyes, "Consider it a thank you gift to me"

I frowned, distasteful, "What in the heavens do I have to thank you for?" I asked, nearing her to have a closer conversation.

"Um, basically, I saved you from your drunken stupor least night and let you sleep in my bed?" she asked, looking at me like I was missing an ear.

"Huh?" I asked dumbly, mentally slapping myself for sounding so lost. She smiled, dishing out to palates and serving her pancakes on them.

"Well, in short, I elt you sleep in my place without sleeping with you" she said, sitting down at the counter chair and stuffing half a pancake into her mouth at once, "You should thank me"

I scoffed, silently pleased that I did not infarct sleep with her. But it didn't mean I was staying for breakfast.

"I'll buy you some more hair dye" I said with a shrug, making her frown and me inwardly grin in satisfaction at myself. I turned to leave but she called out to stop me... Again.

"Your clothes are in the dryer, you know?" she waved her fork at me, "You should wait to pick them up"

"Any excuse to keep me here" I said, leaning against the door and crossing my arms over my chest.

She smiled obnoxiously, already irritating me before she said, "It's a good veiw" motioning at my exposed legs. I snarled at her, making her laugh loudly at me.

With that, I opened her front door and stormed out, slamming the door behind me and marching to my apartment. The old lady whose place was opposed mine waved me a good morning to which I responded genuinely with. She was a nice lady and often took care of fluffy when I was out

I entered my place, flinging my bag and shoe elsewhere before going to my room. Today was an empty schedule for me, so I decided I would bathe, spend time with fluffy and relax.

Jordan had multiple texts for me, asking about how I was and if I was dead, who drove me home and so on. I told her I was fine and that I called a cab. All lies. I was not fine and God knows how I actually got there last night.

I went to take a bath, leaving on the hot water as I did my pre-bathe skincare treatment, scrolling away at my phone and forgetting the water I had left on in the bathroom. I soon went back to the bathroom, slipping off my robe and entering the shower.

I scrubbed myself clean, free of any worries as I bathed, unbeknownst to me about the leakage in the next door apartment: Rachel's until later that same day, around two since I woke up at noon.

A knock came pat my door, firm but soft and definately not Jordan. I went to see who it was, opening the door before asking and I was met with a soaking wet Rachel.

"Hello?" I tried to keep my laugh bottled up but the look on her face, the way she was drenched and the chipped bit all over her sent me laughing hysterically. She fumed at me.

"This is you fault, Sawyer" now she was getting my last name wrong.

I looked at her like she was mad, not even slightly curious at how this had happened. But I wouldn't mind knowing.

"How is all this my fault?" I asked with a roll of my eyes but wanting an actual answer of course. "And what exactly happened?"

"My ceiling colasped on top of me" she said with an unintentional pout, crossing her water-heavy arms over her full chest. I snickered to myself.

"Great" I said with a slight shake of my head, "Now explain what this has to so with me"

"You did something to trigger this, our plumbing is connected" she said, "Take responsibility or I'm bringing the landlord into this"

I scowled at her, remembering that I had left the tap running for well over an hour and that the water drained would build up on the tank intelligently placed over Rachel's house and that bringing in that dumb balded man would only cause trouble. I didn't want him to dig deep and realize I wasn't of age to live alone so I began to think of a comprimize.

"I'm having my uncle fix it but I need somewhere to stay until then..." she trailed off, looking at me expectantly, as if expecting me to say something next. I knew what she was silently suggesting I should suggest and I thought I would rather die on the streets than live with Rachel but then real life kicked in and I realized I had no other choice.

"You can stay here, I guess" I grumbled, looking down at my swiveling feet.

She beamed. "But only till your place is finished" I quickly added to which she rolled her eyes but continue to beam.

Then she captured me in a hug.

I grimaced, trying to push her drenched body away from me but failing. Her hold was tight.

"Let go of me, Jones!" I pushed, getting ignored as she hugged me tighter, definitely drenching the front of my outfit.

"Not even in your dreams, roomie"
