"You keep telling yourself that" Lilliana smirked.
We had finally gotten to the room after what seemed like forever, she pushed open the large oak doors to reveal an enormous dining room.

It was scattered with wide and tall bookcases
which reached all the way up to the ceiling, the dining table was long and narrow, big enough to seat twenty people, and they were all filled except on besides the Alpha and another on the opposite side next to a woman, which must've been Lilliana's girlfriend.

The whole atmosphere was so 1800, I was convinced I wasn't even in the 21st century anymore.
"That's your place" Lilliana whispered in my ear pointing towards the seat besides him.
Once again, our eyes met and those feelings I had, rushed back to me. I felt my body temperature rise drastically.
I noticed everyones eyes were on me, waiting for me to sit down.
I rushed to the seat before anymore inappropriate thoughts arose.

His eyes followed me until I was sat down then he glanced over at the rest of the the table and nodded, immediately everyone began eating, are you serious? They need permission to eat?
"S0, what's your name?" he asked, this was the first time he had spoken to me, I felt a shiver run through my spine, his voice was deep and raspy, sort of a turn on to be honest.
No shut up.
"Celia" I replied sharply trying to avoid his direct gaze, "And yours? If it's permitted to ask you question's" I rolled my eyes.
"Kairo Griffith, Alpha to the Moore pack. But you can call me Kai" how typical, these major packs always have a name relating to the moon in some way. Way to fight the whole wolf and moon stereotypes.

I didn't reply, I had no interest in making conversation, I looked down at my plate full of food and decided to pay attention to that.
He must've noticed I hadn't eaten in a while by how fast I was piling food up in my mouth.
"No manners either" I heard a voice scoff, surprise surprise, it was that same lady from earlier today.
Her hair was platinum blonde reaching down to her shoulders and her skin was creamy and pale, a bitchy expression rested on her face.
I ignored her comment and filled up my plate with seconds, I didn't know how much longer I was going to be here so I needed to bulk up a bit.
"How long has it been since you ate a proper meal girl?" An elderly man asked.
I hesitated, but with all the pressuring stares I had no choice but to reply.
"A couple weeks..." I spoke lowly, I could see the Alpha's eyes widen out of shock.
"How are you even alive?" An older woman sat next to the man gasped.

"I make do. I was out hunting before I was so rudely ambushed" I mumbled annoyed.
"Well we do have laws, and when a rogue breaks those laws. They have to be punished accordingly " the blonde woman shrilled, I'm guessing this was his girlfriend.

"Calm down blondie, I'll be off as soon as I can" I rolled my eyes, not realising I just revealed my plans to their whole council, Dumb move Celia.
Dumb move.
