A/N: Inspired by TFIL's Overnight challenge in Amusement Park Video!

Let the overnight challenge begin.

"So... what are we suppose to do right now?" I ask, walking beside Ellie.

"Well, I asked if anyone had any ideas on where to hide... and we got no ideas so we're gonna scout around," Elton says.

"Yo, I brought penny boards!" Sam exclaims, whizzing by on his board.

"If only we had a ramp," Colby whines.

"Dude, we can use something else as a ramp, if you catch my drift," Corey suggests with a big smile.

"Bro, you thinking what I'm thinking?" Elton smirks.

"Probably not," Colby interrupts.

I smack his chest, "Obviously."

"Ouch," He mutters.

I roll my eyes, "Are you guys thinking of riding them down the water-slides or something?"

"YES!" Corey exclaims.

"Guys, that's going to be dangerous," Amanda laughs.

"We live for the danger, lets go head up their right now!" Elton chuckles, running to the direction of the water area.

We all follow, and it's beginning to be a very quiet walk. People are exiting the area and as we got farther into the amusement park, the less people we are able to see. The aqua exhibit of rides are closed so there was about nobody. We all try to quickly and softly climb the fence to the huge slides. We all jump over and Sam helps pull me down.

He whispers, "You and Colby need to act normal tonight."

"We'll behave..." I utter quietly, making sure only Sam could hear.

"I'll believe it when I see it," He says quite harshly, "Remember. One week. Midnight."

I nod solemnly. The thought of Ellie finding out about Colby and I sends me nervous vibes. Which I despise so much. We catch up with the rest of the group, running up the large blue water-slide.

"Woo! Go go go!" Elton cheers.

"Haha, to the top there!" Corey chuckles in a low tone.

As everyone reaches the peak of the slide to stand on the wooden platform, Elton points his camera at us. "So what's the plan, guys? I'm thinking we just wait it out til we see all the lights off."

"Yeah we could do that," Ellie pipes up. "How long do you think we'll wait though?"

"Maybe an hour at the most?" Corey proposes.

Colby throws his head back in agony, "Ugh, waiting game."

"Could we try and land kick-flips?" Sam offers, holding up the extra boards he brought.

"Oh hell yeah! My only goal tonight is to land one on the slide," Elton laughs.

"Okay but let's be quiet guys, we don't want to get caught because we were stupid enough to be loud," Amanda warns.

Time to wait.

Colby asks,"Do you think they're closed yet?"

"Colby, it hasn't even been fifteen minutes, and you're asking already? Stupid." I say.

I need to act like I still hate him. Of course I don't...kinda... but I gotta deal with it.

"Guys, I got an idea!" Elton exclaims, suddenly.

"What's up dude?" Corey asks.

"Instead of just sneaking here and risking expulsion, why don't we just ask? I mean, the worst they can do is say no, and we'll just come back here," Elton suggests.

"That's actually not a bad idea," Sam shrugs.

"Do it, just ask if we could stay after hours, see if they let us!" Ellie chimes in.

"Alright, c'mon guys lets go," Elton waves, motioning everyone to get down the water-slide.

We all file after Colby, who suddenly stops.

"Guys! There's water at the end!" He shouts to us.

"WHAT DO YOU EXPECT AT THE END OF A WATER-SLIDE!" Elton screams from the back of the line. Everyone laughs at his comment.

"Colby, don't be dumb and just move out now!" I add.

He raises his arms in surrender and we all laugh.

We move down and Elton brings us all into some food hunt. He greets the guy, around our age, and straight up asks if we could stay after hours.

The dude says, "See, my boss isn't here but if you slip in some cash... say three-eighty and you got yourself a deal."

"Wait, seriously?" Colby snickers in the back.

"Yeah, seriously?" Elton repeats, facing his camera at him.

The worker replies, "Yeah, man."

"Deal!" Elton claims, "So we can ride all the rides and everything?"

"The rides are going to cost you a little more..." The guy contemplates. I internally roll my eyes. This guy better pull through, I for sure want to ride all the rides here again.

"Okay... how much?" Elton asks.

"Let's say,  four-fifty?" The guys responds.

"You got it," Elton agrees. They shake on it, and I'm shook.

"Holy shit," I whisper to Amanda, my insides are already feeling giddy.

"Did he just say yes?" She whispers back.

"Mhm, oh my god," Ellie whispers with us.

We all squeal a little and the guys look at us and smirk.

The dude Elton asks offers Elton a price of four hundred fifty dollars for us to stay and Elton agreed.

YES.

Guy knows his stuff, thank god Elton was willing to pay the price or we would of had a serious problem.

This is going to be a good night.

/////

"So what's first?" Elton asks.

"THAT ONE!" Corey exclaims, pointing to a ride that spins when you help push and spin the wheel.

"YES!" Sam agrees.

"Kay let's do this!" Elton laughs, running to the ride.

Everyone follows, and you could already feel the positive vibes radiating off us. This group, these type of nights, are what I live for. I'm glad, thankful even, to have made the decision to move out to California before school started. The people, they make me feel great. The fluorescent lights of LA make my stay worth while. Literally, every single person is just an array of fun times. My love for this state is amazing.

And I'm just realizing this as I spin in a purple hippo ride, after hours, basically illegally, in an amusement park for an overnight challenge video.

How crazy is that.

The dude straps us in, tells us if we fly out, we'll probably die, and good luck because the more the weight in the ride, the faster it'll go.

Fun.

The screaming in the ride was hilarious. I then saw Ellie, who sat on Colby's lap. It hurt, yes, but I couldn't do anything. Eventually she'll find out the truth, she'll know the real reason why her best friend never had a crush in high school.

Sometimes it gives me actual pain because the closest person I know doesn't know my deepest secret.

Physical pain.

Heart aches for her.

Not just him.

Sometimes I hate liking my rival.

But I mean,

I still do.
