Chapter Six

I woke up at 7:36 to an empty bed. The left side of my bed had the imprint of a body, but when I placed my hand over the empty space it was cool, letting me know that Rex left a long time ago. I hope he made it safely off of my territory, but I'm pretty sure he could sneak away since he sneaked in.

I got out of bed still groggy. I know to never binge watch shows on Netflix again. I only got 3 hours of sleep and I can already feel that today's going to be a slow day for me. I pick out pair of black leggings and a plain grey v-neck T-shirt and head for the shower. The shower did me absolutely no justice in helping me wake up.

I walk downstairs to get breakfast. Since it's Saturday, I have training. Being the Alphas daughter is a good thing because since I have alpha blood, I'm already stronger than the average wolf, meaning that I don't have to train as much as the others.

"Are you ready for training today, Stella?" Beta Adrian asks me as I walk into the kitchen.

I grab a couple pieces of bacon and and a spoon full of eggs. "Are you ready to get your ass kicked today, Beta?"

Beta Adrain has been training me since I was twelve. Since he is the second most powerful man in our pack - first being my father - it was only right that he gets assigned to train the Alphas children. He will train my brother when he comes of age.

Beta Adrian chuckles at my response. "Okay, little alpha. We'll see how things turn out today."

I continue to eat my breakfast as my dad and little brother come downstairs.

"Hey dad, Sam." I say with a mouth full of eggs.

"Hi, Stel." Sam says as he sits in the chair across from me.

Dad ignores me and gets food for him and Sam.

I sigh. "Dad, I know you're still mad at me, but it was an honest mistake. I didn't purposefully walk out of our territory. I had a lot on my mind and accidentally went beyond our boundaries. I'm truly sorry."

"I'm not mad about that Stella. I'm mad about the fact that you were being careless. You weren't thinking. There has been sightings of rogues right at our boundary lines. Because you weren't thinking you made the careless mistake of going too far. What if one of the rogues took you? Huh? What would you do, Stella? You would probably be dead." He storms out of the kitchen after handing Sam his plate of food.

I'm stunned. I take in everything my dad said and he had a right to be mad. After all Rex told me last night I have a feeling that I would've been dead that night I walked of our territory. Rex said it himself that he was here to kill my pack and if I wasn't his mate then he would've killed me also. Just thinking about it makes me shudder. I need to not be so careless like dad said. I'm the alphas daughter for god sake. I shouldn't be making these mistakes. It makes me look bad.

"Don't worry about your dad. He'll come around, kiddo." Beta pats me on the back in a sort of comforting way. "In the mean time, you need to hurry up and eat so we can get started. Practice starts in ten minutes."

"I want to go" Sam says, munching on a piece of bacon.

I place my plate in the sink and walk over to my brother ruffling his hair. "In a couple years, kid."

I walk out of my house with Beta Adrian by my side. We get to the clearing where all the other teens are training. All other weres start training at thirteen. I had to start a year earlier.

"Do you remember the moves I taught you last time we trained?"
I nod in response.

"Let's get started then.

*******
Four hours later I'm sweating and breathing hard. Beta Adrian stands there like we didn't just endure four hours of training.

He smirks. "Can you tell me again how you were going to kick my ass?" He says smugly.

"Oh, put a sock in it." I grab a botltle of water and chugged it down.

"We're done for today. It looks like if we did anymore you would pass out." He laughs and walks away.

"Stupid Beta thinking that he knows everything. Don't worry, next time I'll get him good next time. It's only because I didn't get enough sleep. If I had got enough, I would've really got him good." I'm mumble.

As I'm walking home from the clearing a loud horn sounds around the whole territory. Everyone starts to panic and rush back to the pack house. I run into my mom as soon as I get into the house.

"What's going on? We only sound off the horn if there's an emergency."

She ushers me to the basement with all the other women and children. All the men have been specially trained in fighting in case something like this happens.

"There has been a sighting of three rogue wolves on our territory."

"What?" I screech.

The first thing that comes to my mind is Rex and his group. He said that he was going to attack us, but then he said that he wasn't anymore because he found out that I'm in this pack and he's my mate. Would he lie to me about something like that? No he wouldn't. But then again he lied to me about what he was, but that was only so that I wouldn't be afraid of him. I have no idea what to think right now, I just hope that it wasn't his pack out there.

"Mom, I have to go out there to help dad." I tell my mother. She's trying to help our pack members stay calm as a good Luna should.

"No, Stella. I will not let you go out there. Your father will kill me."

"Mom. I have alpha blood in me, I'm physically stronger that all the other men out there fighting with dad."

She turns to look at me. "Stella, they are train to be in altercations like this."

"I have to! What do you think I was doing earlier today, loligagging? No! I was training for the same thing that they are!"
"They have been in this situation before and you have not. I'm not going to argue with you about this anymore." She turns back to the other women and children and tell them that everything will be alright.

I spot my friend Gabby amongst the wave of people and go sit next to her.

"This is complete shit!" I say as soon as I get over to her.

"What? The fact that we're stuck in here or whatever you we're arguing with your mom about?" She asks while flipping her long blonde hair.

When I was younger I use to be so jealous of Gabby. She's was the perfect girl; still is. She had gorgeous golden hair that was naturally curly. Beautiful green eyes and she spoke in a soft voice that guys loved. Where as I spoke very loudly. You could probably hear me from a mile away.

"It sucks that I can't go out there and fight with my dad and the other worriers. I've been training for this since I was 12, but every time something serious happens I'm stuck here with the other women and children."

"Maybe your dad doesn't want you out there because you might get hurt and he doesn't want his only daughter to get hurt, Stella."
"Yeah, maybe you're right." I sigh. Slumping down in the chair in was sitting in I start to think.

So much has happened in the past couple days. Enough to last me a life time. I don't even want to think about what the future holds for me because if it's more than what's happening right now then I just might die. Not really, but you know what I mean.

"Everyone can exit the basement now." My mom announces to everyone.

I race upstairs to find my father. I catch him at the front door ordering men to start patrolling the territory more.

"Dad, what happened? Mom told me that there were three wolves on our territory."

"There was. My men and I have captured them. Were about to question them right now."

"Can I come? Please dad."

He looks at me for a second and then nods, telling me to follow him.

We get down to the holding cells where the three rogues are waiting for us. They are chained to the wall by their wrist. I walk in and stare at them individually. When I get to the last rogue I notice that he looks familiar.

"Adam?"
