AN- So, I had edited drafts from the character's POV and I realised it's better to update as it is, that way nobody has to wait much.

Hex's POV

If someone told me I'd be in this position on this level of life, I would laugh at their faces, because it was an entirely opposing scenario I created for my future. Which is nowhere near the dismal presence I am living in.

Waking up and staring at the ceiling nonetheless, has grown up to be my habit every early morning. Simply thinking about, what I want, I could one day be able to figure out that myself too.

Frowning at my aching muscles I scowled the alarm clock off, yawning and hastening over my steps straight to the shower.

My mind was in a scurry, practically rushing over everything in my penthouse that I had been living in for the last seven years, hunting for the belongings that would be necessary.

I slid on my three-piece as fast as I could, cuffing my watch and grabbing a pair of my shoes hurriedly. Only to groan mentally, hearing my phone ringing just when I was tying the laces, I grabbed it from the nightstand securing it under my jaw close to the ear and tying the shoelace along.

"Morning Dad" I greeted him happily.

"Good morning Son, How's it going?" He asked.

"Well, Just about to catch the flight," I answered moving over to the suitcases.

"Good, make sure you make it here on time young Man," he remarked.

"Yes, Dad." I hummed while striding towards the entrance.

"Have a safe journey." He mumbled, and I could feel his enthusiasm for my return through the phone.

"Bye, Dad," I mumbled.

The moment the phone call ended my eyes wandered around the house. It has been five years since I last went to the States. This penthouse has become my shelter, I wouldn't call it home technically, I have no one here beside me, not housekeepers or maids.

I prefer being on myself even if it means at weekends, I will be found scrubbing the floors and dusting the furniture, well that's another thing!

My dad and brother usually visit me here, there was no good reason to be there. Not after what happened.

I am the elder after my sister Hessa, And that one-year-younger, pain in the ass brother, that most of the big brothers have to deal with, I have one too! Kathan lives in Los Angeles.

He is settled with his career there as he is an actor. In my perfect perspective, if I'd ever watch any of his shows or movies, which is only three or four he was cast in, I would feel disgustingly funny bile up my throat! Seeing him in a role that's simply he is not, is admirable, and humorous at the same time. Weird, but true.

Still, he is no wonder a great actor. Whereas me, well I have been constantly called respective names like a workaholic, Bullard. The worst of all was when my few working fellows teasingly pried if I was gay! Did it matter? Hell no. They can think about whatever they want.

I do not mind bothering to rationalize my love life, which is next to nothing, empty, zero.

My presence was expected there since it is going to be the biggest business multitude that happens once in five years for nearly two weeks.

Numerous Business tycoons from all over the world, gather to interact more for their profits or investments, as well as business traits, and cores. Then it's concluded who is one of the best of them all.

They get to win Big and International projects in upcoming Years. Then, he or she might be named the King or Queen of the Business World!

But last time my father couldn't make it, since our company was not on that massive billions page back then. So he thinks this time, unequivocally he needs to win it!

"Am I late?" I asked Calor my dad's assistant, who just flew over yesterday to explain well to me about the Multitude.

"No sir." He smiled, as I climbed inside my car.

"Goodie good." I patted his arm and he cleared his throat getting inside on the front seat.

Successfully, we boarded the plane on time and I sighed comfortably at the first-class seat. The restless Night has been annoying as fuck.

I could use a plane if I could buy one, and I could buy one if I did not believe it was unnecessary. The guards for security purposes sat across me, as sternly as they could be. So I knew they'd be no use to any socialising and pastime. Maybe, that comes with something serious, or perhaps how boring their job is.

I looked around to find anyone better at amusing me, than the boring magazines filled with cloying news, no offence towards anyone but I simply do not enjoy glamour.

Just when I was losing myself to disappointment, my eyes landed on a redheaded girl who was frowning at her sleeping mum or maybe sister. She jiggled her sleeping figure and then sighed boringly. Her sight met mine, and I wiggled my brows to which she glared at me. I got up from my seat, went to her and kneeled.

"Hey pretty girl, wanna play ludo?" I said in a passive voice, and her lazy posture perked up.

"A what?" Her small ears perked up but a baffled look clouded her face.

"The board game." I shrugged, grinning at her. She raised a brow twisting her mouth in wonder.

"Depends on what I am winning," she says making me chuckle, She was smart for her age.

"Chocolate." I offered and she shook her head, her cute nose now red.

"Nope, that's for kids." I laughed at her statement, nodding in agreement, feeling myself getting happier.

"Three hundred rubles." Five was all the cash I had on me, she frowned at my offer.

"Five hundred." She finalised, and my eyes widened. Oh, shoot, here goes my money. I laughed agreeing, and guess what? I lost, to a little girl.

"If you lose, I am cutting your hair." I pointed trying to just scare her, a little.

"Please do, I hate braids." She scoffed, and I just chuckled at her.

It was a tough match, there were times I thought I was going to win. But boy did I guess wrong, or more specifically, underestimated this little girl.

At the end of the game, she was happy and that was all that mattered to me. No matter, if her mother was quite flustered about her daughter being straightforward. For starters, I learnt one thing kids are dangerous to do business with.

I laid my head on the seat, fighting to hide my excitement, I couldn't wait to meet everyone. My family, and my friends that I had to leave behind.

I didn't ever desire to remember, however, I could not seem to forget. I failed at erasing those haunting memories, the injustice that caused my mother her life. Going back to that place irked me, but it was time I faced my past for it to leave me forever, so I could start fresh.

Destiny tried its fucking hardest, but I am glad it weakened at changing who I am.
