The following weekend was here before you know it and my sister had made it to moms with her boyfriend whom we knew nothing about.

I couldn't wait for Chesney to meet Meredith and hopefully get along.

I stopped in at the venue around 5 pm to pick her up. I had to go give an evaluation on another house I will be working on but I'm going to need some help with this one.

I got a call from my friend to help me with that one even though I have a few more things to do at the venue before it gets a new coat of paint.

We pull up at moms house and I help my pregnant girlfriend out of the truck and as soon as we walked in Meredith tackled me in a hug.

"Hi!" She laughs.

"Well hello to you too Meredith." I laugh.

"This is my boyfriend Jorge."

"Nice to meet you, Jorge. Sis this is my girlfriend Chesney." I smiled.

Chesney hugged Meredith and she put her hands on Chesney's stomach. "I am so excited to be an aunt."

"We are very excited." Chesney smiled.

Dad stepped into the living room. "Your mother said to come to the kitchen. Dinner is ready."

We followed each other in and mom hugged Chesney right away. "What am I chopped liver?"

"Oh, Stone I hadn't got to you yet." She laughed.

"It smells delicious in here," Jorge said.

"I made a meatloaf the kids always liked this when they come home." Mom said.

"Thanks, mom you know it's my favorite," Meredith smiled.

We all set down to eat. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans and a salad.

"So Chesney what do you do?" Jorge asked.

"I own a wedding venue here in town."

"Oh cool." He said.

"What do you do?" I asked Jorge.

"I teach science in high school."

"All the girls have crushes on him." Meredith laughed.

After dinner, I helped mom clean up while everyone went out on the porch.

"You always were the one to help me." She smiled.

"You taught me not to leave a mess."

"How is Chesney doing?"

"Great. We felt the baby kick for the first time the other night and she is now moved in with me."

"Oh, that's great son. I am so happy to see you happy."

"Thanks, mom! We are going to take one of the spare rooms and turn it into a baby room."

"Any names get? What color room?"

"Not sure on both." I laughed.

We finished up and went out on the porch and Chesney and Meredith were laughing.

"What's going on?"

"Talking about you when you were young."

"What?"

"Yeah, when you went to school for show and tell and took your lizard."

"Shut up! You didn't tell her that!"

"I didn't get to finish."  She laughed.

"You had a pet lizard Stone?" Chesney asked.

"Hell no he didn't." Dad laughed.

"Fine! I thought my private was a lizard." I pointed.

Chesney giggled. "Oh no, I need to pee."

"Come on I will take you," I said helping her up.

We walked inside to the bathroom and she looked at me and giggled.

"They never let me live that down but in my defense, I was only five."

"Well, I like your lizard Stone."

I wiggled my eyebrows at her and after she washed her hands I kissed her before we joined the others.

When we walked back out on the porch mom had a plate in her hand. "Have a cookie or two. I just got them out of the oven."

"Thanks, Bonnie I'll take two." Chesney smiled.

"Got to feed that baby girl," Dad said.

"Any names yet?" Meredith asked.

"No, not yet. We still have a while left." I said.

We stayed until I saw Chesney yawning. "Are you ready to go?"

"I am. I am getting sleepy."

"Will I see you guys again?"

"Yeah, maybe you guys can come by the house tomorrow evening? I have a job and she has a wedding tomorrow."

"Yeah, Saturdays are big days," Chesney said.

"Whitney works for her," I said.

"She is my right hand. I couldn't do anything without her."

"Oh, that's so cute. Maybe I'll stop by for a second to say hi." Meredith said.

"Sure anytime." Chesney smiled.

We hugged and then said goodnight and I helped my lovely girl into the truck. She fell asleep on the way home.

Home sounds nice. I love that it didn't take much convincing for her to say yes. She didn't even have much to move really.

She left it all in New York but I'm sure she would like to get it out of storage. Maybe we can take a trip up there to get it and she can show me around.

We made it home and I went and unlocked the door and went back and carried her into the house.

As soon as I laid her down in the bed she opened her eyes. "Oh gosh, I have to pee."

I couldn't help but chuckle as she got up. I went to the kitchen to feed Cotton but he was in the bathroom with Chesney.

He is like her shadow and I most definitely lost my cat to her. I wonder how he will do with the baby. I know cats don't really take a baby's breath. Most definitely have to watch him though.

Before I made it back to the bedroom Chesney came to the kitchen with Cotton on her heels.

"I need water and he's hungry."

"I just put his food out Ches."

I looked over and Cotton was going to town on the wet food.

I followed her back to the bedroom and we changed for bed and I did my nightly ritual. I talked to her belly and now she's kicking back as I talk and it makes me so excited to meet her.

Are you ready for sleep Stone? I have an early morning and I am already tired ." She laughed.

"Yeah, I am ready." I got under the cover and cuddled her into me.
