The wedding went off without a hitch and once it was over Whitney drove me over to moms house and dropped me off.

I walked into the house and Stone had all of the bedroom completed and boxes out in the Uhaul that we rented the other day.

He was in the kitchen putting the plates in a box.

"Wow, you got a lot of things done."

"Yeah I have been talking to your mom while packing and I hope you don't mind but some things I packed thinking that you might want and some that Whit might want."

"That's a great idea. I don't think there is much I want."

"I found things of your dads that's what I have kept so far."

"Really? What did you find?"

"Some of his hats and a jacket and a few other things."

"Oh, that is great. Thank you, Stone!"

"How was the wedding?"

"It went off without a hitch! Everything was a hit and they even went to the bench and fountain and took wedding pictures."

"I am glad that it all worked out. I see your makeup lasted." He smirked.

"And I see your stiffness went down." I laughed.

"Oh, you play dirty!" He laughed walking over to me.

He was standing in front of me and pulled me in his arms and as his lips touched mine Clay called out my name.

We broke apart so fast it wasn't funny. "In here Clay."

"Wow, it looks good in here."

"Stone worked on it while I was working on the wedding and he even found things of dads."

"Wow, that's cool. Let's take that stuff home and go through it."

"Ok yeah, we have a lot to talk about."

"Yeah, we do Sis."

"Well, I will follow you guys out. I need to go pick up some dinner." Stone said.

"Thank you for cleaning all of this up Stone. See you tomorrow?"

"Of course, you will Chesney." He smiled.

We all headed out and as I walked to Clay's truck I just wanted to go with Stone instead.

I get in the truck holding the box on my lap that Stone found of dads. He has been gone for thirteen years and I feel every single day of it.

We pull up at home and I go to my room and change clothes before meeting Clay in the kitchen.

"I ordered some Chinese food sis. I figured you were hungry."

"Yeah, I haven't eaten since lunch."

"Sooo where do we start?" He asked with his hands in his pockets.

"You tell me, Clay."

"First off I just want to say that I am sorry for leaving you without a way to get in the house and I am grateful that Stone took you in."

"I accept your apology Clay because Stone is a cool guy and I have enjoyed hanging out with him and Cotton."

"Who?"

"His cat." I laugh.

"How did the first wedding go?"

"Amazing with Whitney's help."

"I uh got you, something sis." He said sliding a key fob across the table to me.

"You got me a car?"

"I did I know that you needed a car and I hope you like it."

"Clay you didn't need to buy me a car I just needed a way to get to work and back."

"I know but it's the least I can do for you since you are taking care of the venue and everything else."

I pick the keys off the table and walk out to the garage and see a pretty maroon Honda Accord. "Wow, this is nice Clay."

"It's used. I traded mom's car in for it."

"I forgot all about her car."

"Yeah it was a piece of junk and didn't run well but I got a decent amount for it. Everything is paid for and in your name sis."

I opened the car door and looked inside before turning around and hugging Clay.

The food turned up and we went back inside to eat and I was still debating telling him about moms journal but I know I needed to.

"So while we were breaking mom's bed down a journal fell out from under the mattress."

"Did you read it?"

"I only got to page three and it was disheartening."

"Why do you say that sis?"

"She talked about wanting to bag dad but she was pregnant with me and she would have had an abortion but she really wanted him."

"Holy shit Chesney!"

"Yeah, that's what I said. I don't know if she changed her mind being she got pregnant with you or if she did it to make dad happy."

"Are you going to continue to read it?"

"Yeah, I would like to know why she hated us so much and why we got beatings for no reason. Was she always that way and put on a facade in front of dad or what."

"She was always angry sis. She would scream and yell at me for no reason and I just stopped going around."

"Did you find out what she died from?"

"The hospital told me it was her heart that she had a heart attack."

"That doesn't tell us much but maybe it was quick but in a way, she deserved the pain. I hate to say it but it's true."

"I know sis and I know that you took a lot of beatings for me growing up and I really do appreciate it."

"I had to protect you, Clay. I don't want to fight with you anymore."

"I am sorry I forgot about you I just wanted to go out with Whitney and I was so excited that time got away from me."

"Did you at least have a good date?" I laughed.

"Yeah it was fantastic and we plan to go out next weekend as well."

"That's great Clay. I am happy for you."

"I am happy sis and I am so glad that you are back. I have missed you so much. I hate the reason you had to come back but Somerset hasn't been the same without you."

I smiled over at him. "I missed you too."
