I look over at the clock and it's 2:30 am. My heart is racing and my mind can't stop thinking about Chesney and what we have done tonight.

I lay on my back and put my arm over my eyes. God, she was beautiful in clothes and most definitely out of them.

I had wanted to kiss her but I didn't know it would lead to all of that and once we were done and cleaned up she just acted normal.

I am confused. Does she like me or not? Did she just want someone to scratch her itch and I was there?

I stare out into the dark room and get up and go to the bathroom and then get back in bed until the alarm goes off.

When I finally woke up I got in the shower and as bad as I hated to wash her scent off I did but I have work to do today and I wonder if she will act weird or normal.

I was slipping my work boots on when my phone beeped. I picked it up and it was Chesney

๐Ÿ“ฑ Hey would you mind picking me up? Clay has already left this morning.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Sure be there soon.
๐Ÿ“ฑ Thanks Stone!

Well, that sounded promising. I filled up my thermos with coffee and got my extra one and filled her up a thermos as well.

I jumped in my truck and headed over to Clay's house. When I got there Chesney was sitting on the porch waiting on me.

She smiled as she got in the truck. "Morning!"

"Morning Chesney! I wasn't sure if you had coffee so I brought you a thermos."

"Thank you so much, Stone. I woke up late and didn't get a chance to drink any so this is thoughtful." She smiled.

"I just have to ask. Are we ok?"

"Sure Stone why wouldn't we be?"

"I mean we did do the monkey mambo on your dead mother's couch last night."

She burst out laughing. "I remember I was there but we are good I promise."

"We might should throw that couch away as well."

"No one has to know Stone." She grinned.

We pulled up at Forever Fountain and I drove around to where the arch was so that I could get it done.

"Thanks again for the coffee. I need to go inside and check on everything and then I will come back out to help you if need be."

"There isn't much left to do and then I will start on the bench."

"Do you know if she has done anything to keep the fountain clean?"

"I am not sure but I am sure that Whitney knows."

"Right! Ok, talk later." She smiled and turned around walking to the front door.

I can't help but stare at her. She is perfect in every way but she sure didn't act like we had sex last night.

I got the last of the arch built and started mixing the cement. The quick set kind so that it won't take hours to dry.

After I got the cement poured I went down over the hill and got some sods of grass to put around it so it won't be ugly.

Around lunchtime, Dwight came out and waved to me to come inside.

I have never worked a job where they feed me but I could get used to this.

I put my stuff up and walk in and wash to wash my hands and Chesney was standing there washing hers.

"Come on in. The bathroom is big enough for two." She smiled.

I walked in behind her and grabbed the soap and she pushed back on me and I know she had done that on purpose.

I looked at her in the mirror and she smirked before walking out.

What the hell was that? Teasing huh? I can do that too.

I sit down beside her at the counter and Dwight put a salad down and then two chicken sandwiches.

"Thanks for lunch again." I smiled.

"It's no problem sugar." He winked.

Chesney giggled and looked over at me. "What's wrong sugar?"

I rolled my eyes and bit into my sandwich.

"Did you get the arch done?"

"Oh yeah and got the cement poured. Was going to start on the bench after lunch."

"You got a lot done Stone."

"At least the flowers can go on now."

"Yeah, Loretta will be here early in the morning," Whitney said when she walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, Whit are you wanting Hazel's house? We have been cleaning it out and weren't sure if you wanted the furniture."

Chesney pinched my leg and I jumped and Whit looked at me weirdly. "Yeah, all but the bed."

"We already threw the bed away." Chesney laughed.

"She died on that thing didn't she?" Dwight asked.

"Yeah, so they said."

"No blood stains?"

"No, we didn't see anything." I shrugged.

After lunch, I went outside to work on the bench and I know she can see me outside her window so I decided to take my shirt off and let my jeans hang low, and let her get a good look at me.

I looked up a couple of times and could see Chesney's shadow standing in the window and I couldn't help but smirk to myself.

It didn't take her long to come outside and over to where I am.

"Apparently there are white tablets in the building that go into the fountain to keep the algae out."

"I can help you find them." I smirked wiping the sweat off of my chest with my shirt."

"You seem to help me find a lot of things Stone."

"I am a great guy I swear." He laughed.

"Oh, I know. Umm, can you take me over to moms house and drop me off later?"

"Want to do more cleaning?"

"Yeah, and I forgot that journal that I really want to read more on." She said.

"Yeah I can take you over there but I won't drop you off," I said grabbing the container of tablets.
