I used to think Mom and Dad were crazy when I heard them say they felt old. Well that time has definitely came for myself. I feel so old especially looking at our kids with Collin, has the girls hang up ornaments on the Christmas tree.

Trinity and Serenity turned thirteen this year. While Cole turned ten.

The girls are still so kind and gentle but can sass for days which can be the testing parts they do. It makes Collin laugh and shake his head while telling them I have years on them to give up the attitudes. Guess they do get it honestly.

Cole has calmed quite a bit from the toddler he was where he was into everything. Although, Cole still loves to get into things and always full of energy. Now though it is more teasing and pranks. He has gotten all of us in the house hold, Grangy threatened to get a switch on his butt if he changed her powdered sugar for baking soda again.

So after that Grangy's house is safe from any type of pranks from Cole because he takes Grangy seriously, as where with Nanna she will laugh at the prank and go on. Something I wish Mom didn't encourage but she says she doesn't have it in her to be mad at her grandson.

The couch dips next to me and Collin wraps an arm around my shoulders, pulling me into his chest. I tilt my head up and get a sweet kiss from him.

"Eww! Stop it." Cole groans.

Collin and I pull back to laugh and look over to our son.

"Nothing wrong with showing the woman you love affection, turkey butt." Collin smirks to Cole.

"Nah that is why they call it a bedroom. I have to burn my eyes. I don't know what is worse seeing you two, our parents or Nanna and Pawpaw." Cole shudders.

The twins laugh.

"I think it is cute. I can't wait for the day I find someone that loves me like that." Serenity smiles warmly.

"I can agree with that." Trinity nods with a smile.

"You girls have a long time yet." Collin shakes his head with a smirk.

I pop his chest. "You will not be like Dad was though once they are of age."

"I say Stone and Clay were perfect because our love is so pure and the best." Collin smile softly down at me.

I hum and peck a kiss to his jawline. "I agree."

Looking back at the girls I smile. "I will side with your Dad on this one. Then when the right one comes along I'll call Collin off from sicking the poor young man. Just like your Nanna done with Pawpaw when it came to me."

"Only difference is you have to call off not only me but Gunner, Clay, and Stone." Collin laughs.

"Geez, I hope Mom will help because there is more men watching out for you girls than what I had." I laugh.

A high pitch yelp comes from behind the couch, making Collin and I turn our heads.

"Rex!" Cole yells right as our dog jumps clean over the couch.

Whiskers comes running around the couch and it after Rex.

Trinity races over and scoopes Whiskers up and gently scolls the cat in her arms. While Cole pets over Rex, who is panting and warily of the cat. Then comes Tux just trotting into the room and jumping on the cat tree getting loves from Serenity.

You wouldn't think a huge dog like Rex would be such an overly gentle gaint but he is. Or scared baby as Collin calls him. Rex is our great dane that we got just four years ago.

Then Whiskers came into our family right at the same time. He is a solid black cat but with white whiskers.

The kids got to name both the pup and kitten when we got them. Tux took to them instantly and almost acts like he is the father figure over the both of them.

There was never really any fighting between them but Tux would be quick to pop either one with his paw if they were not behaving like Tux thought they should. Rex yelps if Whiskers gets to playing to hard and doesn't want to stop playing which leads to the chasing game.

"I am going to let him out the back door." Cole lets us know and we nod our heads.

That is something Dad and Uncle Clay has done for us too, by installing a large fence in the back yard. One that Rex can't jump over thankfully. Even though he has never tried to run off, if he sees a squirrel then it is game on for him.

Ever tried walking a large dog and then end up being drug across the ground on your stomach, yeah that was me. Also thankfully it was on grass and Collin ran up to stop Rex but laughed so hard once he knew I wasn't hurt but I joined in too.

"There all done." Serenity smiles and sits on the smaller couch with Trinity the with the cats curling up on their laps.

When Cole comes back into the living room, Rex lays on the floor.

"It is all yours now to do the honors." Collin smiles over to Cole.

Cole's eyes light up because he has always wanted to turn on the lights for the first time after decorating but being so young we never let him. This year Collin and I decided it is time with him being ten and showing he can be mature enough to do it safely.

We watch as Cole gets down and plugs things in. Standing up, he flips the switch that connects it all on the wall.

Our living room is brightened in multicolored lights. Cole steps back and sits in the large chair next to Rex.

"I will get started on dinner, you guys pick the movie for tonight." Collin kisses my head and stands from the couch.

The girls giggle to each other and then ask for a romance.

"Cole what do you want?" I look to him.

"I guess a easy romance since we can't do anything scary." Cole smirks.

"Not even turkey butt." I shake my head.

Cole much like his Dad can watch that stuff but I still can't handle it in the least. I have tried once for my son and husband's sake, even the girls tried with me. Needless to say, the three of us were huddled together and screamed everytime something jumped out or the actors screamed. By the end of the movie, Collin and Cole were laughing at us but they didn't laugh when we couldn't sleep that night after.

"Comedy?" Cole questions.

"That I can get behind. Girls?"

They nod and smile.

"Looks like you can choose the comedy and make sure it is okay with your Dad." I smile to Cole and get up from the couch to help Collin with dinner.

I am still not that great with cooking but I can do the easy things to help. The kids work together and set up the table while we are finishing up the cooking.

"Oh tomorrow, I need to know if where the three of you want to go? There is a wedding at the venue I have to work." I look to the kids.

"I want to be with you." Trinity and Serenity smile brightly. It warms my heart they love the venue.

"Could I go with you Dad?" Cole's cheeks actually blush as he looks to Collin.

"Of course." Collin nods.
