"They are here." Sadie turns from the window.

Everyone is quick to get up and rush to the master bedroom. Where I pull the door barely too but not quite closed.

I am hoping the twins won't say anything and do just like we practiced once Gunner and Verena get here. So this could go either way but still be a surprise for them.

I move back over to the back of the couch and the twins are playing away. Tux jumps from Sadie's arms when she puts him by the cat tree. Before she walks to the door opening it, not giving Gunner the chance to hit the doorbell.

Verena smiles bright and Sadie squats down to get a hug before she runs over to hug my legs and I pat her back.

"Verena!" The twins squeal in sync, making Verena laugh before she dashes over to them at the little table.

Cole doesn't want to be left out as he cooes from his playpin.

Gunner walks over as he talks with Sadie about how he took Verena home from the park to shower before they came over.

"Good to see ya man." I pat his back as he does mine.

"Now I have really seen why you can be so mushy being a dad. Anything she ask for I am like jello." Gunner laughs.

"Nothing beats it." I nod with a smile.

"Although if you want a chance to know what diapers are like Cole is yours next for change." Sadie giggles with her teasing smirk plastered on her face.

"Nah, I think I will pass on that area." Gunner laughs. "Be my luck the little tyke will pee on me during the change."

Sadie and I both laugh and nod. It has happened more than once. You would think after the first time it happened we would have learned, but when you're tired it is not thought of necessarily.

Sadie takes over Gunner's attention making sure his back is to the master bedroom. I take several steps backwards and push the door open, motioning for everyone to come out. Stealing a quick glance at the girls, they are busy playing away too.

Everyone lines the wall behind Gunner, but Sadie is cutting quick glances this way with her standing sideways. I smirk and we all give a thumbs up that we are ready.

"Girls?" Sadie turns her head to them.

Them hum in reponse and it takes everything in me not to laugh.

"It's time." Sadie announces.

Trinity and Serenity pop their heads up and look over smiling. Verena peeks out from around Trinity to see from where she was sitting to where she was hidden by Trinity.

Verena's eyes go wide and then a smile forms.

Gunner turns from seeing his daughters reaction and his eyes go wide.

"Surprise!" Everyone does a mild whisper shout.

"What is this?" Gunner smiles as he gives hugs from the family, with Verena running over with the twins.

"This cousin is a party for Verena." Sadie smiles at Gunner and he walks over to hug her tight.

"Thank you."

"Well I didn't do this myself everyone has pitched in to make this possible for Verena and you." Sadie moves but gets pulled in all as the women do a group hug around Gunner and Verena.

Verena giggles and wiggles out from the hug. Only to be caught up by the twins hugging her tight that she returns.

"They are more my size and not just legs." Verena laughs and we all join her.

"Come see Gigi." Whitney stoops down for Verena.

Being a grandma has been something she is loving too.

"That is not all either." I smile when Gunner looks at me. "Take option one or two."

"Option two." Gunner smirks.

"We all get to enjoy the best food, thanks to Dwight."

Gunner laughs. "Sounds like the best time. Option one?"

"This." I move just a step into the bedroom and lean over to grab the handle on the wagon.

Pulling it out into the living room Gunner's eyes go wide and so does Verena when I put the wagon in front of her.

"These are for you from all of us." Sadie bends down and kisses her head just like she does the twins.

Verena's eyes tear up and we all awe at how she is reacting. Chesney steps up and picks Verena up in her arms with Clay walking up next to her.

Chesney talks with Verena and rubs her back, before Clay smiles and whispers something. Verena smiles and then leans over for Gunner to take her into his arms where she hugs him tight around his neck.

"I love you Daddy." We all hear when she whispers it lightly.

The rest of us hang back and let them have their moment. It was a thing we wondered how she would react to all of this.

"Thank you." Verena looks up to us when she wiggles from Gunner's arms.

"You're more than welcome sweet girl. You're family and we treat our family the best we can and will always be here." Chesney smiles.

Bonnie walks over and hands something to Verena. It looks like a matching necklace to what she has gave the twins and places it around Verena's neck while kissing her head.

Trinity and Serenity pull their necklace from under their dress to show it is the same but a different color. Each girl has a special colored gem in the middle of their hearts.

"What would you like to do first because this is your time Verena? There is the gifts or food." Sadie sits on her kness with the girls, while Stone went and got Cole to hold him.

"Gifts." Verena smiles.

Trinity and Serenity pull the wagon the rest of the way into the living for Verena. They flat out refused help and wanted to do it for their cousin. Bringing smiles to all of our faces.

I walk back to the bedroom and grab the several gift bags that are for Gunner and place them next to him as Verena is tearing into hers.

"There is things for you to help with Verena and some just for yourself." Clay smiles to his son.

"Thank you guys." Gunner smiles and opens them to sees his things.

After a little bit we all eat and the cobbler is gone quickly. It is about the only time there is silence in the house especially as the girls and women eat it.

There is times I wonder if the D comes in second place to that cobbler because the only thing that can be heard occassionally is a moan that makes it hard to be determine if Sadie just creamed or not.
