"Gunner." I groan out for my best friend and cousin.

Looking over the folder in front of me, I can see the flowers have not been ordered.

This wedding coming up in two days time, was more on a whim. Only because the previous wedding was canceled when the groom and bride found out they both had affairs. So this new wedding was a fit in for a couple that wanted to get married as soon as we had an opening.

Normally I am posed and ready, knowing Forever Fountain like the back of my hand. Growing up and being here with Mom and Aunt Whitney once I could and they knew I wouldn't be into anything.

"You sang, Sadie." Gunner pops up in the doorway.

"Could you visit the Petals Are Us and let them know the things we need in two days time?"

"Eh, I would but there is also issues with some of the other things the bride wants." Gunner sighs.

"Like what?" I place the flower papers aside.

"The dresses. Also the DJ she wanted is out of the question with the short notice. So, I am working on that."

I nod and make notes. "Okay yeah. Keep working on that. I'll go to the flower shop myself."

I stand and fold the paper putting it in my purse.

"Remind me to never do another wedding on a short notice by less than a week."

Gunner laughs. "You live for this though, Sadie."

That is true.

"Well good luck on finding someone to DJ the wedding. If you can't I will call the bride and let her know no one was available and get a list of music to make a playlist."

Gunner nods. "Don't I always?"

I huff a laugh. "Sure, you do. Just as long as your not sweet talking the next piece of behind your after."

I can't help but tease.

"What can I say? Besides you know my game is sweet talking to lovely bridesmaids when I can scope out they are alone at the weddings and single."

Now I can't help but laugh. That is also very true.

"You know Mom has talked about not knowing where you get your playboy ways with Uncle Clay and Aunt Whitney."

Gunner shrugs. "Mom wants me to settle down and Dad doesn't say much. He just said make sure I wrap it before tapping, best sex talk ever because Dad's pretty laid back."

I roll my eyes. "Only for you is Uncle Clay laid back. He is just as bad as Dad when it comes to me. I swear when I even find a guy to date, the poor guy may run for the hills for all the questioning."

Gunner laughs as we walk to the front desk. He gets to work on the music issue.

Before I go out to my car, I walk towards the back kitchen area. I want to check and see how Dwight and Marcel is doing or if they are having issues like Gunner and I.

I absolutely love Dwight's food and when I took over the venue just a bit ago I asked if he wanted to retire. That was like an insult to Dwight and his husband who cooks with him now.

So I am more than happy Uncle Dwight is here still, because he still spoils me with sweet treats they make. I am like Mom when it comes to cobbler and she will make a point to come over to the venue to get some everytime it's made.

"How is it coming along in here for the wedding menu?" I walk in with a smile.

"I got this darling. By time lunch tomorrow there will be stuff for you to try out." Uncle Dwight smiles.

He is the only one that gets away with calling me that, since he has for as long as I remember. I know Dwight isn't blood related but to me he is another uncle.

My normal nickname is little bunny, and it is my favorite. I swear my love for bunny rabbits is never ending. Moms joked that when I get married I'll have bunnies, but of course Dad said I'm not getting married until I am thirty.

Which doesn't seem so far off now, since I am twenty-three.

I get in my car and start the drive over to Petals Are Us.

I can't help but smile when I pass Uncle Clay's gas station. It seems Mom is there today with Aunt Whitney. Once I took over the venue, Mom spends time helping Uncle Clay at the gas station with Aunt Whitney or she is with Dad with his business.

I pass by my house and can't help but smile, it is not as big as my parents house but I love it just the same as the house I grew up in. Dad and Uncle Clay built my house not a mile from my parents, so it is a nice walk over for us all.

You can guarantee my house is deck out in bunnies too. Every single one I have gotten throughout my life is lining the walls. My very special stuffed bunny sits on my nightstand too, which is the very first one Uncle Clay got for me before I was born. He still spoils me with bunnies too. Dad picks on Gunner with the Monsters Inc. figures, which Gunner would deny but he is still a fan of it himself.

I pull into the flower shop and I let out a deep breath. It was only recently that Loretta retired from owning the shop but I don't know who has it now.

My hope is that this goes smoothly and the new owner is still willing to work with me on the flowers I will need. If not, then that is something else to figure out, but for now I am getting to far ahead of myself.

Getting out of the car, I walk to the door and open it with the sign showing the shop is open.

All the different scents hit my nose and it always brings a smile to my face. If it is not a cobbler I am smelling than flowers are definitely my second choice in scents I love.

"Hi. Can I help you?" A tall, slender guy speaks up from the side.

My breath hitches at how handsome he is. It would be to weird to say he is prettier than the flowers in this shop right? At this point, I wouldn't even care.

"Hi, yes I hope so. My name is Sadie Travers. I own Forever Fountain." I finally find my voice and put on a smile, even though the smile comes not needing to be forced.
