"Ain't nobody hurt you like I hurt you but ain't nobody love you like I do. Promise that I will not take it personal, baby if you're moving on with someone new."—Ed Sheeran.

Chapter Theme Song: 'Happier' by Ed Sheeran.

••

Harmony

Dustin spins the bottle and it lands on Yuna. A girly chuckle emits from her as she presses her palms against her eyes. "Why do I have to start?"

She scans the circle before her eyes stop on Tia, who notices and tries to shift out of her view, making the whole circle erupts in fits of laughter.

During my giggles, my eyes land on Blaze and he's maliciously looking at me and not taking his eyes off. I clear my throat and look away from him.

Is he still mad? He said things to hurt me too.

"T', Truth or Dare?"

Tia pretends to ponder for a second before she smiles. "Dare."

"I dare you to kiss Dustin on the cheek." Yuna orders and Tia gasps at her friend with wide eyes.

"I am killing you for this, Yuna."

Dustin grins and pushes his tanned cheek out. "I'm all yours, baby."

The group sniggers as Tia closes her eyes and looms closer to pop a kiss on his cheek. As soon as her lips are about to press against his skin, he turns his face around and their lips meet.

She pulls back startled, and everyone convulses in a train of guffaws.

"You cheated." She mumbles almost inaudibly. The orange glow of the fire reveals the bright pinkness now decorating her cheeks. Dustin smiles broadly at her, but she tries to avoid his stare as she goes to spin the bottle again.

It falls on James, who is curled up next to the burning fire fast asleep with his mouth wide open. We laugh, and Dustin rotates the bottle again since James is currently in dreamland. Someone had too much to drink.

"Aha! Me!" Kite says with a wide grin. He looks at me. "Truth or dare, Harmony?"

I knew he'd pick me.

I smile. "Truth."

"Mm." He pretends to contemplate, but something tells me that he knows exactly what he wants to ask. "Is it true... that you think I'm cute?"

To be honest, Kite is good-looking, maybe not as much as Blaze but he's attractive in his own way. But that doesn't mean that I am crushing on him.

I giggle. "Yes. It's true."

A chorus of "oooohs" rings above the breaking flames, and I chuckle lowly, my gaze unintentionally falling on Blaze, who looks so mad that my smile slips away abruptly. I gulp and divert my gaze to Yuna who is currently spinning the bottle. It lands on Dustin, and he pumps a fist in the air.

"Alright! Blaze, truth or dare?"

My heart misses a beat.

He shrugs. "Truth."

Dustin leans back on his palms. "Craziest place you've ever fingered a girl."

No. Not that, please.

I have no idea why the question makes me feel so anxious. Maybe it's the fact that we have been throwing darts at each other all night and I am scared that he will put what we did out into the open, or it's probably the fact that hearing his sexual experiences with other females would break my already injured heart. But the latter makes me less apprehensive than the first, seeing that I had thrown the last painful word at him. He will use any opportunity to get back at me.

Blaze pushes his hair back, and then his eyes slide to me. I am so tensed that my palms are slippery.

"In her room, on her bed, during a power outage."

Oh God, he's going to tell them everything. He's going to tell them what we did.

My breath quickens as fear numbs my entire body. Imagine the entire circle knowing that he touched me. It'd be an embarrassment I wouldn't come back from.

April looks just as uneasy as she looks from me to Blaze. My heart is thumping so loud that I am scared they will hear it. Why is he doing this to me?

My hands are quivering once again, and Kite's gaze slumps to them.

"You alright?" He whispers. I nod.

"Ooooh, that happened while you're at Homewood?" Dustin presses.

Oh please don't say, please.

I press a trembling hand to my forehead, preparing to be humiliated.

Blaze is watching me, and I can tell my agitation is clear to him. He looks away. "No. When I was in high school."

I look up at him. I know he's lying. I know he was talking about what happened between us in my dorm room that night.

Does he like to see me quake and shiver under his gaze? His games are just too much.

"This is so juicy!" Dustin chuckles as he gestures toward the bottle, but Kite pushes his hand away. "You spin too much. My turn."

He frowns as his friend takes over and surprisingly, it lands on himself. That is too much of a coincidence; did he do that intentionally?

Kite is smiling from ear to ear as he diverts his focus to the girl who sits between Blaze's thighs. She's currently toying with a loc of her hair, releasing the strand as he points at her. "Your turn, my dear friend."

She sits up and rolls her eyes. "Finally. I was getting so bored."

"Truth or Dare?"

"Always dare."

He ponders for a few seconds, and then a mischievous smile spreads his lips. "I dare you to give Blaze a hickey on his neck."

My eyes grow wide, and everyone is exchanging glances with broad grins. Except for April, who is looking at me worriedly.

"Okay; that's easy. I have given Blaze plenty of hickeys," she says, and that's enough anguish to have me bawling my eyes out, but I try to restrain it. I haven't even seen the supernova of it all yet. I need to save my tears for when her lips collide with his neck.

She turns his head to the side and encloses her lips on the area. His blue eyes fall to mine, and he's watching me while the squirrel kisses his neckline as if her life depends on it. My eyes swim with tears, and I officially break at this point.

A tear slips down my cheek, and April sighs. "Oh gosh, Harmony..."

I get up hurriedly because I have no control over my emotions right now.

I am frantically crying as I hurry across the field to get to the dorms. I hear footsteps behind me, but it is probably April. I don't look behind to confirm because I am busy rubbing away the liquids staining my face.

"Harmony!"

A male's voice.

"Leave me alone, Kite!" I sob, using the sleeve of my sweater to dry my eyes.

A hand grabs mine and spins me around, and my green orbs come in contact with Blaze's sapphire ones.

They soften. "Harmony."

"Leave me alone!" I cry, pulling my hand away from him. "You're an asshole, Blaze!"

I normally wouldn't swear, but Blaze Xander is changing so many things about me. I shouldn't have met him. I shouldn't have come to stupid Homewood.

"I know I am," he admits. "I know, okay? I am sorry, I didn't mean to—"

He reaches out to hold my arm but I step back. "Go back to her! Go back to her and let her nibble on your neck like a vampire!"

"I don't want to go back to her. I did everything, all of this so you could see how much you're fucking with my mind Harmony."

"I am fucking with your mind?" I scoff. "You think? You are messing with mine! You were going to tell them everything! You were going to tell them what we did! You wanted to humiliate me, that was my first time and you are playing with it like it's your toy, Blaze!"

He sighs. "I wasn't going to tell them anything, okay? And how can you blame me? You walked out on me after saying you wouldn't give up on me! You did what everyone else did, Harmony!"

"Because you used me! You used me, Blaze! To get me to have sex with you, how could you be so—!" I bury my hand in my hair, and he takes a step closer to me.

"What about you and Kite? Huh? What's up with you two?"

"Nothing! Unlike you, I am not trying to make you jealous!" I wipe my eyes, but the tears keep falling. "You don't see me nibbling on his neck!"

"Yeah, but he nibbled on your neck at the party and you danced on him. I still see it all in my fucking mind, alright? Don't act like some saint!"

"I am not a saint!" I shoot back. "Especially since I made you touch me like that!"

His gaze soothes. "Harmony—"

"Harmony, you okay?!" April comes onto the scene, and I cover my eyes and turn away as I weep softly.

"Blaze come on, you are hurting the poor girl." April scolds as she comes over and hugs me against her.

She looks at Blaze, who's pushing his hair back from his forehead. "Give her some time, Blaze."

He draws a breath in and walks away.
