Chapter-14

Khusi pov

I woke up by the sound of someone screaming. I was still not fully awake so I thought maybe i am just dreaming so i went back to sleep when i heard someone calling my name again. Ugh it was devil's voice, can't he just let me sleep in peace.

I drag myself to go where the voice was coming from, it was from the living room. When i entered the room i saw buaji was on the floor with her hand on her back, the devil was helping her in getting up.

"Khusi! Why are you still standing there help me"

Instead of replying him i went near to buaji and hold her shoulder trying to make her sit, my hands were still shivering and don't ask me why i was making her sit instead of helping her to get up. I was in panic mode.

"Oww! Haye rah nandkishor, sankadevi what are you trying to do? Do you want to break my back" she growled in pain

"Just do what i say, idiot"he yelled at me.

"I'm going to hold her one hand and you hold the other and try make her stand, then we will take her to her room"

I did as he told me without arguing. We both hold her hands and kept them above our shoulders, then helped her to get up.

We made her lay down on her bed once we were in her room.

"Buaji how did you fall, you were felling weak or what"i asked her worriedly.

"No, the floor was a little wet so i slipped"

"Shit khusi how can you forgot to clean it" i mumured to myself as i was the one who spilled some milk on the floor as i was taking the glass of milk to my room for him, it's all his fault afterall the milk was for him. I will make him pay for this.

"What, did you said something?" he asked as he was standing next to me.

"N-o no i m just thinking that it's still so early. Will any doctor come to check her up?"I said holding my hands together behind my back and sort of rocked back and forth.

He turned his face and said looking at buaji "don't worry, i will call my family doctor he will surely come"

Huh trying to act nice infront of my family just to hide his selfish motive. He thinks I will fall for his act.

He shoved his hands on his pocket and took out the phone while making his way to my room probably to call the doctor.

Buaji looked terrified as she placed her hand on her head "haye rah nandkishor, i completey forgot today our shop has to deliver 500 boxes of halwa for Samir's daughters birthday party"

"Iss okk buaji don't worry i will make the delivery" i said placing my hand on her lap.

"Arah tialia! Halwa is not even ready yet how will you make delivery. I was supposed to make halwa today but now i can't even get up." She said looking tensed.

I am also worried now we don't have staff and i can't do all these alone jiji is also not here. As i was thinking, I got an brilliant idea now you see mr. Raizada how i make you pay.

"Buaji don't worry i will Handel this you just take rest, the doctor will come and check you"i said her with a smile.

She looked at me as if i have grown two heads and asked "what are you thinking to do? Don't do anything silly, i m telling you it's not possible for you to do all these alone you don't have practice"

"Stop worrying, there is nothing that khusi can't do"i said flipping my hands dramatically.

Meanwhile mr.devil entered the room and announced that the doctor will be here in any minute. He was about to walk away when i ran up to him and stopped him.

"I want to talk to you about something"i said holding his hands.

He was just looking down at something. when I realised that it was my hand that he was staring at, i removed my hands from his wrist.

" i mean i want to tell you something, let's go to my room". I walked towards my room after saying and he followed me.

I closed the door of my room and sat down on the bed. He stood right infront of me and lifted his eyebrows as if asking me what's going on.

"As you know Buaji is not in a position to do any work"

"Is it? I wasn't aware of that so you want me to appreciate you for telling me this, how smart you are"he knuckled his eyes at me.

"Hahaha very funny, i don't need your appreciation or validation for proving my smartness " "anyways i wanted to tell you Buaji is worried that she can't cook her special halwa for you today and also we are leaving tomorrow so she is upset" i said making a puppy face.

" Is ok i will tell her that i don't mind if she can't cook for me" he said making his way to open the door.

"No!No! Is ok you don't have to tell her,i will" i almost yelled at him.

He turned around with a suspicious look on his face.

" I mean to say that if you tell her she will think that i made you say this, she will be angry at me so let me tell her that you want to eat something from outside. When she ask you just nod your head in yes" i said with pleading eyes.

"Knock!knock" someone was knocking on the door. Lard governor was the one who opened the door, so i took that opportunity and went to buaji.

"Buaji, when i told Arnavji that I'm going to be busy today as i m going to help you, he instead that he wants to help you too and you know i can't refuse him" i said as looking towards the door, i could hear him taking with the doctor.

"No no i can't make him work in my shop, it will not look nice if i make my son-in-law work there"she said getting angry

"You don't know him if he decides something he will do it no matter what, moreover he is like your son so there is nothing wrong if your son wants to help you"

"Let me talk to him about this first" she said as she saw himand the doctor comming.

The doctor came was checking her when i pinched lard governor's arm. He looked at me getting annoying.

"What the-khusi"he said this a little loud so everyone was looking at us and then went back at what they were doing.

"Shhhhhh! Buaji was telling me that she will ask you about what i told you earlier remember, you know what to do right" i wishper to him which he returned with a frowning his eyebrows.

After checking Buaji the doctor said

" Mr. Raizada there is nothing to worry about if she takes best rest today and doesn't move too much she will be fine by tomorrow"

After he left, buaji looked at devil and asked him "Arnav beta are you sure that you can do this, i don't want you to do something like this"

He looked confused and turned around to look at me. I was signalling him to say yes by nodding my head. So he too followed me and nodded his head in yes and smiled at her (if you call twitching your lips smiling)

After that buaji smiled at him and said

"You are such a nice son in law, khusi is a lucky girl indeed. when khusi told me that you want to help me i was not okay with that. How can i make you work in my shop but since you want me to help so much i won't refuse, thank you so much beta."

"Shop-" As he was about to ask i jumped in between them.

" Yes i told you that i need to make halwa and deliver them to the birthday party, and how nice of you that you want to help us" i said faking a smile, i know he can't say no now. Lard governor now you will know what happens when you call khusi 'idiot'.

"You welcome buaji and don't worry i will Handel nicely the shop as well as khusi"
He said clenching his hands into fist.
