SCARLETT

The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies. There stood my bestfriend Charlotte kissing Asher with no idea that I was watching them. The walls started closing in on me, I felt suffocated so I ran out of there, with no idea why I was feeling that way.

It has been a week since I've talked to Charlotte or Asher. I've been avoiding them at school. They've messaged me numerous times as to why I've been avoiding both of them. It is currently lunch time, and as usual I'm sitting alone.

Then I see her approach me with her cronies, her being Olivia Collins, the queen bee of the school. I am surprised as to why she is walking towards me as she hates my living guts. She approaches my table and sits across from me while I just stare at her.

"Cute jacket," she says with an annoying fake smile." I gave her a small smile. "So I am hosting a party at my house tomorrow evening at 7 and I want you to come." I look at her in disbelief. Is Olivia asking ME to come to her party?! Wow she surely is on crack.

"I will think about it," I replied politely. She just gave me an eye roll and walked away.Β Β

A loud, annoying noise woke me up from my oh so peaceful sleep. I groan and turn to my left to switch off my alarm. It's saturday. Oh great. You are probably wondering why I am sulking about the fact that today is Saturday. Well, I have 2 assignments to submit by Monday, one of them being a ppt where I actually have to talk and present. If you hadn't already figured it out, I hate talking to people like so much. And to top it all I have to decide whether or not to go to Olivia's party tonight.

Here I am, at Olivia's party. I had initially planned not to come but after what had happened, I needed to forget what happened between Charlotte and Asher. At the corner of my eyesight I notice a familiar brunette. Walking closer I realize it's Charlotte. Wait...Charlotte's here?! Oh my god, I should've known. I went out of my way to ignore her but here she is. Now I just need to steer clear from her. You can do this Scarlett.

I ran out of the room crying wanting nothing more than to go home. Coming here was a horrible mistake. I quickly run out of the house and call Asher, not caring that I was ignoring him at the moment.

Please pick up. Please pick up. The call had gone straight to voicemail. "Asher! I know we are not at a good place right now but would you please come to Olivia's house and pick me up. Please!" I tell him on the verge of crying. I tried calling about 9-10 times but to no avail. I don't know if he was busy or deliberately ignoring me but I couldn't care less at that point. I just needed my best friend, but he wasn't there....
