"What did you do to Phil?" Ray asked me when I went to the library. His eyes are looking at the top of my head. I unconsciously touched my head and noticed the bunny hairband.

I see...

"I didn't do anything to him, but he gave me back my hairband," I said. I entered the library and glanced at the books on the shelves, "Do you think I have an agenda by talking to that cute baby?" Then I raised my brows.

"In my perspective, Yes," He replied.

I frowned when he said that. I placed both of my hands in my bouncy cheeks, "Well, maybe. But It's really important you know," I answered in an honest tone. "Besides I really forgot about my bunny hairband."

"Ye, If you say so," He answered.

"Oh, Where's Emma? I thought she's going to read me a book?" I asked.

A smirk appeared on his face. "Book about a bad marriage?" He asked. My lips twitched when he said that. "Mom asked her to do something. She will come back later."

"I see..." I said.

I quietly went to the shelf to find 'Adventures Of Ugo'. When I find that book I quickly took it and flipped it to absorb some knowledge. I went beside Ray and seat with him.

"Anyway... are you not really going to help me escape?" I asked while tugging his clothes. "When are you going to tell them the truth?" I asked curiously.

He stopped as he gave me a bored look.

"First of all, I already told you what to do, and yet you're continuing your dumb act. Second, I already accepted my fate. I will die here..." He replied.

His last words suddenly hit me. I almost forgot about it.

He is planning to commit suicide.

I closed my book and glared at him. "Sometimes you're an idiot," I told him. He only raised his brows on me. "You're an idiot," I repeated.

"What?" He asked me.

I quickly pulled his right ear and pinched them so hard so it will turn red.

This boy is too pessimistic!

I can understand where his thoughts came from but sometimes we need to enlighten him.

"A-aw! Ouch! Stop it, Conny!" He shouted while holding his ears. "Conny! Stop it ouch!"

I let go of his ear and placed both of my hands on his shoulders. "Listen to me," I told him eye to eye. "Don't be a sh*t cause I'm not going to let you die easily," A smile appeared on my face when I noticed him glaring at me. "If you don't want to help me, then I'll make you help me."

"I will also help you to survive in return."

I know that deep inside you, you wanted to survive.

You will survive with Emma, Norman, and the other kids. I assure you that, you idiot!

"When did you learn the word sh*t?" He suddenly asked. I was taken aback. I quickly covered my mouth and decided not to answer directly.

"I didn't say anything like that..."

"I heard you."

"You're only hallucinating," I replied. I quickly opened the book and decided to ignore him. Tsk. I need to be careful when I am talking. It's a good thing that these type of words only slips sometimes.

There was a silence between us.

"You are..." I glanced at Ray when he started to talk. "You are the first person who promised to help me," My hands stopped flipping the pages of the book.

A smile appeared on my face.

Don't worry, I only promised to help you but there are people who will be going to save you. I promise you that.

"You have to help me first," I said. "It's a give and takes. Do you think if Emma finds out you'll be left behind?" I asked him.

Ray clicked his tongue. "I still won't help you."

I shook my head with a smirk. "Sure," I said. "but you know what? I am planning to cross the restriction lines in the forest. Want to come with me?"

I noticed him paused for a moment. He was about to answer but Emma suddenly came in with Norman behind her back.

"Conny!" She shouted as she waves her hand at me but her eyes became fierce when he saw Ray beside me.

"Emma!" I greeted her back.

My eyes went to Norman who was quietly observing us.

I know that this boy already noticed something about me. Even if it's only a little...I can't underestimate him. Norman is a child that could put up some little pieces like a puzzle.

I wonder if Mom already noticed something about me too?

No, it's normal for a child to develop. I can't be too paranoid but I can't underestimate them as well. I saw how intelligent they are in the Anime.

But I wonder when is the right time to tell Norman?

Would it be beneficial to inform him earlier?

"Hi, Conny," I raised my head and glanced at Norman. He is smiling gently at me, I was in a daze for a moment. I suddenly remember what will happen to him in Lambda 7214.

I can't let that happen. It's not because I'm a hero but it's also for the sake of the other children. I know that not everyone can't stay naive in this situation. That's why I'll be guiding them since I know the plot.

I waved my hands at him and smiled happily. "Hello," I said softly. I glanced at Emma who was glaring at Ray. "Emma, what book are you going to read me?" I asked. I took my Bunny and went to Emma.

"Oh, about that..." Emma paused. "We will do it later..." Emma's eyes dropped when she said that. I stopped and look confusedly at her. "Well... Mom asked me to call you and the other children. Mom has an announcement."

"Announcement?" I asked. I secretly glanced at Ray, he looks confused as well but I noticed his micro-expression.

He knows something...

Norman stepped in and patted Emma's shoulder. "Someone's going to be adopted..." He said, "Mom's announcement is about adoption."
