"You are a guard. All I am asking for is for you to be a guard without questioning me," Isabella crossed her arms before turning her back on Krone. "I am the Mistress of the house and you're just an Assistant."

!!!

Those words were the exact words that the child told me.

Krone couldn't hide the shock in her face when she heard it. She almost lost her facade. It wasn't only the words that are similar to what Conny told to her, even the actions and the facial expression is exactly similar to that child!

She's indeed Isabella's child.

"I will give you an appropriate authority..." Isabella paused before turning her head a little to glance at Krone. A mysterious expression appeared on her face which bothered Krone a little. "But you will obey my instructions."

"Understand? Sister Krone."

If Isabella is truly a formidable foe, then I'll have to follow the orders of that brat!

No, it can't be, there's no way that this woman is that formidable. If I manage to strike her down from her throne, then I'll be...

Krone stopped thinking when she remembered her conversation with Conny. Her eyes went to the youngest Mom.

'You won't be able to snatch the throne from my Mom. If I were you, you should stay still.'

Krone clenches her fist secretly when she remembers what Conny told her in the facility.  She can't just ignore what that child told to her. If the warning is the truth, then her true goal will have to collapse.

Not now! She reached this far!

She has to be careful.

She can't fall.

A smirk formed on Krone's lips before placing her right hand on her chest. "Yes, Ma'am Isabella," she answered carefully with a respectful tone.

That's right, she'll have observed first. Who knows if Conny is just bluffing? That child is clever anyway.

Isabella placed her hand in her pocket as she took out a familiar handkerchief. She carefully caressed it before glancing back in Krone's direction. Her lips curled in a mysterious smile when she noticed Krone's expression.

Krone's eyes darted at the handkerchief in Isabella's hand. It was the embroidery of Conny that she asked Krone to give to 'Carol' as a gift.

She knows that Conny has another intention of giving that gift to Carol, but she has to do it to gather the information that she needed.

After all, Krone was also blackmailed by Conny.

'I know that pen, Sister Krone.'

Conny told her using her most innocent smile, and for some reason. Krone just found herself doing things according to Conny's bidding. If the child told Grandma about that Pen, she'll be dead.

Those words were a warning. Krone doesn't know how, but for some reason, that child seemed to know something grand.

Krone had been keeping that Pen with her, yet that child knows her secret. It also seems that Conny knows the function of that pen. No one knows how terrified Krone was when that child snatched and opened the Pen in front of her.

How did she know?

How could a child know?

Does she have connections?

How could it be possible?

She can't manage to underestimate Conny, and what made her more frustrated is she doesn't have anything against that child.

"Conny made me proud for surviving this long," Isabella suddenly spoke which made Krone silent waiting for her next words. " Did you meet my child, Sister Krone?" Isabella suddenly asked out of the blue.

Krone was suddenly caught off guard when Isabella asked her that question. Her eyes darted at the handkerchief in Isabella's hand.

She knows.

"Indeed," Krone replied with a large smile on her face. "Before going to Gracefield, I met her. For a child to become the youngest mom-in-training, I could say that she took after her Mom," She said with flattery in her tone.

"In the future, I am sure that she'll be a great next Mistress of this house--"

"She's dead," Isabella suddenly cut her off.

"W-what?" Krone asked in confusion.

Isabella let out a chuckle before gripping the handkerchief in her hands tightly. A smile appeared on her face before sitting on a chair that was near to her.

"I said, Conny, is dead," Isabella repeated as if trying to imply something. "That child is dead from now on."

"But that child is doing great in grandma's--" Krone suddenly stopped talking when she realized something. Her eyes went wide while observing Isabella's expression. "Could it be that you're implying into something...?"

Conny is alive, of course, both Isabella and Krone know this fact.

The truth is she's doing great for having Peter Ratri's interest.

At the age of six, she was able to have an important role at the facility for the coming auction. If her achievements continued in the future, she could be greater than Isabella.

She'll be the best candidate to become a Mom.

The next mistress of Gracefield Orphanage to be precise.

Isabella is aware of this fact...

...and the other children of this orphanage doesn't have to know about Conny's achievement.

Krone may not know who are the remaining children in the orphanage who knows the truth about the farm, but Isabella knows that Krone will try to find it out. Her children will also try to gain information from Krone to escape.

She'll use Krone to restrain her children.

Isabella has to kill their will to escape.

"That's right, Sister Krone," Isabella uttered with a serious tone. "Conny is dead, she died for failing a test, this handkerchief is her last keepsake." The handkerchief in her hands was crumpled from Isabella's grip.

No one is allowed to escape.

Krone bowed her head a little with a large smile on her face. She understands what was Isabella trying to imply, and it also shows that Isabella is aware of her next movements.

Isabella knows her next moves.

She's indeed dangerous.

"Understood," Krone replied to Isabella. "Conny is dead."

"Ray," Isabella mumbled when she saw his son standing in front of her office door.

Ray remained silent as she closed the door and went in Isabella's direction. His actions suddenly stopped when his mother held a handkerchief with a bunny embroidery on it. His eyes darted at the handkerchief.

"How were your siblings?" Isabella asked before placing the handkerchief on her table. She leaned her body a little while staring at Ray's expressions. "Were they playing again?"

"Why did you call for me?" Ray asked ignoring his mother's questions. He can't help but focus his attention on the bunny embroidery. He has a guess, but he needs confirmation from his mother. "Is that Conny's?"

"You noticed?" Isabella chuckled. "As expected from you."

Ray took the handkerchief from the table, before glancing at Isabella who has a mysterious smile on her face.

His body began to tremble when he noticed something different from that smile.

For some reason, it seemed sad.

"Ray," Isabella mumbled.

"Do you want to hear the news?"
