"Finn!" I replied, breaking away from Logan and making my way to give Finn a hug.

"Of course she's running to him first since she likes him better," I heard Colin say.

"The female sex is certainly particular and strange," Robert chimed in.

"Colin!  Robert!" I said giving them each a hug.  "What are you guys doing here?  Logan, is this what you were plotting?"

"Guilty, as charged!" he replied with a big grin on his face.  "The guys were already in town for the weekend and after the strange day we had, I knew we could use a little Life and Death Brigade fun."

Logan grabbed my hand and led the way.  We walked briskly towards the Eiffel Tower.  We stopped near one of the elevator entrances.  I could see the posted hours and it was well beyond those hours, so what were we doing here?  I saw Colin walk up to the ticketing window.  A few minutes later, he came back.

"Let's go," he said motioning us toward the elevator entrance.

The attendant came out and opened the elevator for us.

"Please don't tell me you bought the Eiffel Tower, Colin!"

"I wonder how much it would cost...." he said, jokingly.

"Seriously?!" I said.

"They don't generally sell national monuments, especially to foreigners," he replied with a slight disdain in his voice.  "And not for lack of trying."

"After you, Darling," Finn said, motioning to the open elevator door.

Logan placed his hand on the small of my back, guiding me into the car.  The boys followed us into the car and the door closed.  We began moving upward and Paris got smaller under our feet.  Logan and the guys never cease to amaze me.  They are so loving and loyal.  I know some may see them as immature, still pulling off "stunts" in our 30s, but they don't see them like I do.  Outwardly, things look a bit reckless, but everyone and everything is taken care of.

The elevator stops on the first level of the tower.  We exit and I move to the observation deck.  The city is glowing and beautiful.  The skies are clear, making the stars visible.  You can see the city meeting the sky.  The air is crisp and cool, allowing you to see your breath without taking it away.

"It's not as beautiful as you, Ace," Logan said, sneaking up behind me.  "Come with me."

He took my hand and led me to the restaurant.  It appeared closed.  The lights went on inside and the door opened.  Colin gestured for us to go inside.

"Your table awaits," he said.

"Oh, but we just ate a little while ago," I stated.

"I realized we hadn't gotten any desserts.  I figured you and little Ace might be up for something sweet," Logan replied.

"You know me too well, Logan!  What's on the menu?"

"Anything your little heart desires," he replied.

A waiter brings us our desserts.  Something about Paris seems to make the confections taste so much better tonight.  I see the guys flirting with the restaurant staff, which was nothing unusual.  One of these days, one of them will find someone like I found Logan.

"What time is it?" I hear Robert say across the room.

"Time to go, boys," Logan replied.

I watch the guys bid adieu to their flirtations and we head for the door.  Back to the elevator, where the ground grows larger as we descend.  We begin walking toward the river.  Where were they taking me now?  They continued down the stairs to the walkway along the Seine River.  They paused and a couple dressed like Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron came out of nowhere.  Music starts and the dancing couple recreates the dance from An American in Paris.  It was amazing and beautiful.  I was a terrible dancer.  I had nearly broken Logan's foot at the tango club.  The couple was so graceful in the crisp air.  The song finished and they disappeared just as magically as they appeared moments before.  I hadn't noticed the boat that was docked just yards away.  It was a small boat, not big enough for all of us.

"My dear, this is where we leave you and your prince for the night," Finn said, slightly bowing his head.

"The boat is equipped with a captain and guide," Colin stated.  "Don't worry, I didn't buy this one."

"But they were paid handsomely," Robert added.

Robert, Colin and Finn left us near the boat.  We boarded the window enclosed craft and set sail.  I hadn't been on a boat with Logan since....well, since the night of his sister's engagement party.  Not one of my finer moments, but I had more than learned my lesson.  The cruise was romantic and lit by the city.  A soft voice came across the speaker, pointing out the sights along the way.  We floated on the river, looking at the beauty of the city.  Notre Dame was breathtaking.

The ride was relaxing and gorgeous.  We ended just beyond where we began by the Eiffel Tower.  We strolled back to the hotel.  The temperature had dropped a bit more and I was feeling the chill of the air.  I cuddled closely to Logan.  Upon entering the room, I felt a blast of warmth and saw the fireplace glowing.  I bet he had them start a fire.  Our robes were laid out for us on the bed, as well as an extra blanket.  I changed into the warmest pajamas I had with me and put on the robe and slippers.  I walked back to the couch by the fireplace and wrapped myself in a blanket.

"Oh, my god!"  Logan said as he entered the room.

"What?  What is it, Logan?"

"Wow!  I cannot believe the nerve of my mother."

"Did you find out what she was doing with Odette?"

"No, but she wants me to meet them tomorrow," he replied, quietly.

"Them?"

"Yes.  Her and......Odette....."
