"Are you sure you're up for this, Ace?  We can postpone if for a couple of weeks," Logan said.

We didn't have much time between my dramatic exit at the reception and our honeymoon, but I was feeling much better.  There was no reason to postpone this trip, especially after all Mitchum had done to arrange the trip.  I'm sure he didn't do it all himself, but I definitely did not want to snub this gesture during this pivotal moment in all our lives.  I was perfectly capable of going.

"I want to go, Logan.  I'm feeling great and as long as we keep track of my eating, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't go!  I'm actually looking forward to this trip," I replied.

"I am looking forward to this too, but I want to make sure you're ok for this!  We could go away together somewhere around here instead," Logan suggested.

"No, we are going to Hamburg and that's my final answer," I stated.

"If you insist," he said.  There was a smile on his face so big that his eyes crinkled up.  I loved seeing him so happy.  It made me melt and fall in love with him all over again.

Logan gathered our luggage near the door.  We each had a smaller suitcase, carry-on and a single garment bag.  The car should be here any moment to take us to the airport.

"Car's here," Logan said after receiving the text on his phone.  We grabbed our things and headed to the car.  The driver took our bags, put them in the trunk and we were off to the airport.

I could feel some excitement building.  I hadn't really had much of an opportunity to explore Hamburg the last time I was there as my time was filled with meetings for an article I was working on.  It was simply by chance I ran into Logan at dinner one night.  After our respective meals were over, we met at his hotel for drinks.  Unfortunately, the next day, I flew back to the states, but we talked every single day.

The car pulled up to the private hangar.  I didn't realize we weren't flying commercial.  Mitchum managed to surprise me.  I guess I hadn't looked at the tickets that closely to see that it was more of an itinerary than an official ticket.  We got out of the car and boarded the plane with our carry-on bags.  I don't recall ever flying on a private jet.  I enjoyed not dealing with the hassle of the airport.

I glimpsed around.  This was no ordinary jet.  I had seen pictures of private jets, but this was extraordinary.  There was a large couch facing a fireplace and small two-person tables on either side.  It was more luxurious than our apartment.  It was very linear with its black and white color scheme.  Logan sensed my awe and led me to a door I hadn't even noticed.  It was a bedroom with a queen-sized bed.

"I have never imagined anything this lavish for flying, Logan," I proclaimed.

"Well, this is a special occasion, Ace!  It's not every day we get to go on our honeymoon," he replied as he kissed me.

The pilot told us it was time to take our seats, buckle our seatbelts, and prepare for take-off.  It was seven and a half hours to Hamburg.  It's a good thing I had my computer with me.  I felt the urge to get some good writing done today and possibly a nap.  I don't think I've ever looked forward to air travel until now.  We took our seats and prepared for the long flight.  It was so cozy with the fireplace and couch.  We were finally airborne, on our way to Hamburg.

During the course of the flight, I was able to catch a nap and work on my book, which desperately needed some attention.  The last two weeks have been so busy that I barely touched it.  I feel like I've finally accomplished something.  As long as I keep motivated and writing, the book will continue to move forward.  After the honeymoon, I planned to work on the proposal for the publishers.  Logan was doing some work as well.  Someone brought us some snacks, followed by a wonderful meal.  This was much better than regular airplane food.  I guess it helps to have a personal chef on board.

After eating, I made myself comfortable on the couch with a blanket and a book.  I picked up All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.  About 45 minutes later, Logan slid next to me, putting his arm around me.  I put my book down and enjoyed the moment.  It was hard to believe we were flying.

"This jet is so lavish.  I can't believe your dad went to the trouble to get this for us," I said.

"I don't think it was just my dad.  I have a feeling Colin may have had something to do with it," Logan replied.

"Why do you say that?"

"This is Colin's jet, Ace.  I've flown in it once or twice before," he said.

"That makes more sense than Mitchum, but it does seem they were in cahoots," I responded.

"The guys never cease to amaze me, and they love you more than you know.  They would go to the ends of the earth for you.  They were extremely disappointed you didn't come to breakfast with us that morning."

"I knew they cared, but had no idea just how much.  I love them very much, too."

We heard the pilot's voice come over the intercom telling us it was time to buckle up.  There was about 20 minutes left until we landed.  I was starting to feel giddy again.  I was also starting to get hungry.....again.

"Are there any snacks around?  The baby needs some food," I said.  "I've decided to embrace the whole eating for two thing."

"Oh, the baby is hungry?" Logan laughed.  "I did make some reservations at the Jahreszeiten Grill at the hotel.  I know it's kind of late, but I figured we'd want to eat when we got there."

"I'll just have some snacks now.  Snacks are tiny.....like tacos," I responded, smiling.

"I don't think they have any tacos, but I'm sure there's something we can get you," Logan said, waving someone over.  He said something to the woman, who walked back to a small storage area.  She returned a few moments later with some coffee and pop tarts.

"Did you have the place stocked with things just for me?"

"Of course, I had things stocked for you!  We don't want a repeat of Saturday night, do we?" he replied.

"You really didn't have to do that," I said.  The coffee smelled wonderful, but slightly off.  "Decaf?" I said, wrinkling my nose.

"Did you forget we travelled across a few time zones?  It's night time here.  I don't want to keep you up all night with the caffeine," he said, smiling.

"You're right, as usual, Logan.  Anyway, I didn't bring my tap shoes or mat with me."

"Tap shoes?" he asked, obviously piquing his curiosity.

"I told you quite a while ago that I took up tap dancing to help relieve my stress and shut off my brain.  I used it a lot when I couldn't sleep.  Don't worry, you'll never get it on video.  My mom tried."

"I know I would have remembered that!" he said, laughing and smiling.  "On a different note, it's about a 20 minute ride from the airport to our hotel.  I'll have them bring our bags up and we'll go straight for our late dinner.  Is that ok?"

"Sounds like a plan, Huntzberger," I replied.

The pop tarts and coffee appeased the baby for the moment, but I was in need of sustenance.  Thank goodness we weren't far away from landing.  The plane landed without incident and taxied to a hangar where a car was waiting to take us to the hotel.  We disembarked with our carry-on items, making our way to the car.  I entered the car, followed by Logan.  The driver loaded our suitcases and we were off to our hotel.

We pulled up in front of a beautiful lakefront hotel.  It looked like one of the grand European hotels I stayed at with Grandma over 10 years ago.  The car door opened and we were escorted inside.  I was in awe of the exquisite art and architecture surrounding me.  Logan went to the desk to check us in.  He instructed them to bring our bags to our room and we were promptly led to the restaurant.  The wonderful aromas wafting from the kitchen filled my senses.
