Red.

I'm a mess. I can't concentrate on one thing. My mood changes so often that if I cry this second, I'll be laughing in the next second. For now, my mind decided to write this down here even though my bestie laughs at this when he finds it out soon.

Ohh, the title, RED!?

Well, I love red. My favorite things, favorite celebrities, favorite people kept changing since my childhood. It's common for most of us, we do change them often. But this red was/is in my blood and mind for so long, that I started killing people to see it and feel it.

The last 3 murders made me panic like anything. I thought I'll be in jail by now. Thank God that he allowed me to plan for some more murders. My bestie warned me to stop this all for some days and continue it later. I thought he was right. I need to head towards someplace where I can stay for a while, refresh, plan and start everything again.

*VINEETHA/VINNY point of view*

I stared at the paper I was reading in which someone mentioned that they kill people to feel red. I found that paper under my seat when I bent down to tie my lays in the train travelling to Ooty. It was not at all that the paper was attention gaining as it was worn out already. But I picked it up anyway and started reading once after reaching the railway station.

"What's that?" Vishal grabbed the piece of paper from my hand. He started reading it first with confused expression and then shifted to the same expression as that of mine. Wondering!

"Who gave you this?" He questioned me.

"Why would anyone give me a paper like this? I've found this in train". I said as we carried our luggages to exit gate of the railway station following the other three in our group.

"It must be a prank" he said and left me at the gate with other two girls, Sushma and Nikita. He joined Karthik to help him bring all our bags.

But I was not convinced with his answer. The paper seemed like a page tore from a diary dated 15th march and it was all red.

People are crazy.

I shoved it in my hand bag and jogged to reach my friends who were searching for the cab. We were here in Ooty to spend our vacation holidays.

Everyone were so excited when we reached the guest house. It was located on tiger hills, a beautiful place to enjoy the greenery. It was owned by Karthik's father.

"My dad loves nature a lot. He dreamed to built his house surrounded by trees, lakes, birds and gardens. So he owned guest houses in few mesmerising places like this." Karthik explained, blushing a little when he opened the door to the house.

"We're lucky to have you in our group." I said walking in the hallway.

"Atleast we need not have to pay for hotel this way." Nikita added and everyone laughed.

The guest house held six rooms in the upstairs and a hall, kitchen and other three rooms around the hallway. It was small and sweet with beautiful trees surrounding it and the view of mountains through the windows made the house more beautiful, pleasant and comfortable.

Sushma and I occupied one room while Nikita asked a separate one for her. Both the boys have thrown their bags in one room. All in the upstairs.

We explored the beauty of tiger hills on first day of the vacation. We were supposed to visit other places but settled to this place for the day as our tourist guide asked us to delay the plan for one day for some reason which we decided not to ask. Anyway we had enough time so as not to do the vacation a hurry-burry.

"Ahh such a great place!" nikita rejoiced.

"There are many more around this place." Karthik smirked watching Nikita.

Sushma, Vishal and I watched them silently with a teasing look. Karthik always showed special attention towards Nikita, not stopping those who were watching them to doubt if it was just friendship or something else.

"What?" Nikita yelled when she noticed us staring at them, which made karthik to blush and others to laugh.

We reached the guest house on sunset. Everyone closed their doors to take some rest and prepare for the next day which was going to be a long day.

"I need headphones" sushma asked searching my bag already before I said her to see in my hand bag. Friendship goals.

I walked around the room stretching and folding my hands for sometime. Suddenly I remembered about the paper that I'd came across this morning. I'd wondered which insane or pschycopath would have wrote it like that. Vishal did said that it would be a prank. But who would've tried to do that on whom? May be I was thinking too much about the paper.

"Mmm Vinny ma'am, what's this note?" Sushma asked pointing out to the Red paper I shoved in my bag this morning at station. I wasn't aware about sushma reading the same paper which I was thinking about.

"You started killing people also? I thought your favourite color is white and so started killing cockroches." Sushma giggled.

"Stop it sushi. I didn't write it. I found it in train." I concluded.

Sushma chuckled once again reading the paper "Throw it" She handed it to me.

What? No!

"No. I will keep it with me" I took the paper from her and kept it in a small pocket in my bag, so that no one would notice it again and starts asking questions. I switched the lights off.

"Your wish. Good night." Sushma dragged the sheet over her thin body after plugging in the earphones and seemed to fall asleep immediately after closing her eyes.

"Good night" I smiled and slept beside her. Sushi was my best friend since my childhood. I never went to any tour without her. I slowly drifted into the sleep as I memorised all my moments with her.
