Ryzen POV

I've had several attempts to enter La Coron City's city hall but unfortunately, they were all futile. Now that Lennox took his seat, he really made sure everything was stricter in the city.

I always tell the guards that I'm going to see Lennox or something but they block me because apparently, there are numerous girls everyday wanting to enter without any official business. They don't even know Lennox at all and just want to meet him for the sake of flirting with him.

Ok... it's not like I'm any different but at least we've interacted a few times already, ok? He also followed me back on Instagram! That's a really, really big thing. It must mean that I must fit his type of girls.

Speaking of which, I couldn't even reach him through Instagram because he's not replying at all. And just like what I've thought before, using online means really doesn't work on him.

Thankfully, there was a notice in the city hall one day about looking for volunteers to help with medical missions. Yes! Finally!

When I enter the city hall, I can finally talk to him and at the same time, also practice what I love the most, medicine.

I quickly got prepared for it and as expected, I was recruited as one of the volunteers. Actually, I was even assigned as the head volunteer manager based on the qualification assessments they did.

Once inside the city hall, I quickly inquired about the directions to Lennox's office. Thankfully, since people here recognised me as one of the medical volunteers, they assisted me all the way to his office.

I had to wait for a few minutes because he was talking to some of his subordinates regarding a city project. When they left, I quickly knocked on the door and opened it.

Lennox was wearing a polo t-shirt with black slacks. He was writing something but looked up because of the sound I made by opening the door.

He stopped what he was doing and he raised his eyebrows a bit, a bit startled at the sudden guest.

Looking at him like this, he's really handsome! He fits my type of men quite well.

I gathered all my confidence and calmed my heart in order to accomplish today's mission.

"Hi, Lennox! How are you? I'm volunteering downstairs for the medical mission." I said with a cheerful smile.

I forced myself to be comfortable in his office, as I sat on one of the seats near his table.

"Oh?" he replied with an amused tone.

"You don't really read my Instagram messages at all, huh? I got a condo here in your city because it's near UP. I'm studying Medicine anyways so I really want to help with the new projects." I murmured in a gentle voice.

Lennox only let out a small, polite smile. I guess, even if he is annoyed at my sudden antics, he can't really do anything about it. After all, he is a politician and he must maintain a certain facade all the time.

"I see. Thanks. We were lacking people in our medical mission so it's a big thing that you've decided to help us." he remarked.

"It's not a problem at all. That's what friends do." I said with a thick face.

I was never like this with any of the guys I've dated before since normally, they would do the chasing. But now, I'm really cringing inwardly at the means I've decided to use.

At the mention of 'friends', Lennox let out a smirk but didn't say anything against it.

"By the way, did you start studying at UP Law already?" I asked, quickly shifting the topic.

"Hmm. Yeah. But there were special arrangements since I also have responsibilities here in La Coron." he answered politely.

I pouted and said cheerfully, "Ah, it must be hard, huh? Doing everything at once. Here. I bought you buko pie! It's never good to let yourself be hungry and eating this will surely lift your mood up."

Before I went here, I ordered one of my bodyguards to buy pastries from a well-known restaurant that sells buko pie. Since Lennox is my target, I've read some of his interviews online and he mentioned this to be his favourite Filipino food.

He'll surely have a good impression, right? They all say that the way to the heart is food, anyway.

I analysed his reaction and he was quite surprised at the buko pie I laid down at his table.

"Wow... you didn't have to go this far. Thank you, Millen." he said in his usual polite tone.

"No worries, take care of yourself alright?" I said sweetly, smiling at him in a coquettish way.

He raised his eyebrows a bit, but he nodded sheepishly. Then, he suddenly let out a small chuckle.

Seeing him react like this comforts me. Perhaps, I finally made an impression on him?

If that is so, today's mission is a success.
