Chapter 378 - Liang AnQi. Could It be the Same Liang AnQi? (1)

In the novel, it was said that Fang JunRong secured herself quite a bit of shares for just a tad shy of 100 million yuan.

She finally realized that she had transmigrated to a later point in the timeline. Had she come when Jiang DeXian was just starting out and she started hugging his thigh then, she wouldn't have to worry about a thing from that point forward.

Now that Qixing was the new up and coming IT company, anyone with half a brain could see its potential and, as such, it's shares would be more expensive.

She gritted her teeth and shelled out all of her money anyway. 2% was still 2%. It would be great if her aunt would help her out some but she dared not make that request.

Her high status in the Liang family came from the fact that her aunt was fond of her. And that fondness was earned from behaving in the exact way that her aunt liked since her transmigration, finally becoming her aunty's favorite niece after a few months of hard work.

After she had made the purchase, Liang AnQi barely had any money left and she was dispirited.

Seeing Liang AnQi the way that she was, Liang Feng asked after they had arrived home, "Are you fond of Jiang DeXian?" Her voice was solemn for a change.

Ever since Jiang DeXian had made his appearance, her little niece's eyes had been beaming and she never once looked away from him. She even wanted to have lunch with them using Fang JunRong as an excuse.

Liang AnQi was started. Biting her lower lip, she hesitated for a second and said, "It was love at first sight."

Liang Feng frowned and said, "Jiang DeXian is already fond of someone else." Anyone could tell Jiang DeXian was interested in Fang JunRong. Why else would he invite her out to lunch publicly? Yup, he may have called it lunch but, in Liang Feng's eyes, that was a date through and through.

Liang AnQi pouted. "They aren't dating yet. I still have a shot at it."

"Besides, Fang JunRong isn't good enough for him!" Worried that her aunty would object, Liang AnQi spoke her mind.

When she read the novel, Liang AnQi liked Jiang DeXian, the male supporting character much better than Fang JunRong, the female lead.

He was handsome, loyal, and built himself an empire from scratch.

He was the ideal male lead for a novel.

Then, looking back at Fang JunRong, she was 12 years his senior, divorced, and had a college-age daughter.

Surely, the part where she tore her ex-husband a new one was very satisfying but she still couldn't find her loveable.

In her mind, Fang JunRong, a divorced woman with a child, did not deserve the fondness of the various male supporting characters.

That's right, when she had finished the entire book, Fang JunRong never settled down with any specific man. When Liang AnQi discovered that she had book-transmigrated and she was a young mistress – albeit just a daughter of the Liang family born out of wedlock – she still felt that she, a young girl who had never been in a relationship before, was a better match for Jiang DeXian than Fang JunRong.

Liang Feng looked at her incredulously, "Who did you say isn't good enough for Jiang DeXian?"

"Fang JunRong is pretty and has hundreds of billions of yuan under her name. Not only is she the president of Meifang Corporation, she is also a major shareholder of Gaoyuan Corporation, and an NPC deputy. She was even invited to speak at the UN this year. Why wouldn't an outstanding woman like her be good enough for Jiang DeXian?"

Even though Liang Feng had very little contact with Fang JunRong in person, she had a very good impression of Fang JunRong.

Let it be the fact that she dumped her husband decisively when she found out that he was cheating on her or that she was selling her White Jade Cream and Detoxification Pills at cost or her effort and money that she put into charities every year, all of them made her feel that Fang JunRong was a very respectable woman.

Somehow, her niece sounded contemptuous when she talked about Fang JunRong?

Chapter 379 - Liang AnQi. Could It be the Same Liang AnQi? (2)

Liang AnQi said, "She's a divorcee, right? And her daughter is already attending college. Besides, her personality is too strong. Men don't like strong women like her, no?"

Surely her ex-husband Li WangJin was a scum but, if only Fang JunRong was a tender woman, they wouldn't have ended up the way they did.

She didn't do a good job with her son either. The fact that her son would pick another woman over her was an indication that the problem lied with Fang JunRong.

Liang Feng was now looking at Liang AnQi under scrutiny. "So, in your mind, a divorced woman is like a flawed product that should be discounted?"

Well, yeah.

That was what Liang AnQi was going to say but, seeing her aunt's long face, her rationality returned in the end.

Liang Feng sneered, "I'm a divorcee as well. So I am a flawed product in your eyes as well and naturally worse than others?" Liang Feng had doted on AnQi in the past because some of her habits reminded Liang Feng of her daughter who had passed away. That, and she had always been naïve and lively in front of her and was a very pleasant girl.

She never would have guessed the thoughts of her niece. Did that mean she was affectionate with this aunty of hers but secretly she looked down on her?

Liang AnQi felt like a bucket of cold water had been dumped on her from her head down. She recollected herself and quickly said, "Aunty, that wasn't what I meant."

Nevertheless, she stuttered for half a day and still failed to come up with something else.

Liang Feng sneered and left. She never gave Liang AnQi another look. Come to think about it, she had another nephew and niece.

They weren't as pleasing as Liang AnQi but at least they could tell what's right from wrong.

That was more important than anything else.

Looking at her aunt leaving with no hesitation, Liang AnQi was stunned.

She seemed to have offended her biggest backer. She had let her guard down too much today. She was so excited when she saw Jiang DeXian that she had forgotten the person she pretended to be in front of her aunt.

She figured that Fang JunRong was just an outsider. She never would have expected that her aunt who had always doted on her would have a fall out with her over an outsider. This was all Fang JunRong's fault. If it wasn't for her, she would not have this fight with her aunt.

Liang AnQi was very annoyed right now. She placed all the blame on Fang JunRong and vowed that she would get Fang JunRong back for this one day.

Perhaps she could get to Fang JunRong through Li XinYun. When she transmigrated over, the original owner was already a student at a prominent university and a fairly good student at that.

Liang AnQi, nevertheless, only retained a portion of the original owner's memories and was not too effective when applying her knowledge. After almost giving herself away, she quickly signed up to be an exchange student and returned to China.

Come to think about it, the school that she was an exchange student at, really was the City S University where Li XinYun was studying.

That ought to show that even heaven was on her side!

Fang JunRong had no idea that she had just made herself an enemy nor would it bother her if she had known.

Jiang DeXian drove her home after lunch and returned to his office. He still had to take care of some contracts on partnerships.

Fang JunRong looked online and, sure enough, Jiang DeXian's photos had been posted by the media.

His eyes and brows were cold and his appearance noble and reserved in the photos. The comments were all from those who had been conquered by his good looks. Many had even changed their usernames to "Boss Jiang's girlfriend". Fang JunRong took a look and didn't see any for-profit accounts posting about her lunch with Jiang DeXian.

She suspected that was because her lawyers had sent out a lot of letters in the past and a few of the ones who loved spreading rumors got sent to jail.

Chapter 380 - Liang AnQi. Could It be the Same Liang AnQi? (3)

The medias were much more cautious now when it came to writing about Fang JunRong's romance. She was also very surprised that Jiang DeXian's competitors did not dwell on his past. She thought about it some and figured out the reason behind it.

Talking about his past would, inevitably, bring her up into the conversation. It was not worthwhile for them to offend her completely just to get to Jiang DeXian.

That was nice. She did not enjoy being the center of attention and having others critiquing her all the time anyway.

She looked around. Jiang DeXian had sold almost 24% of his shares and gained quite a bit of working capital. It looks like he was planning to expand his company.

Fang JunRong didn't know much about IT. As a complete amateur, she, as the next biggest shareholder after Jiang DeXian, planned to do nothing other than to collect the dividends every year. She would not opine on the strategies of the company.

On the other end, XinYun had become the temporary class lead and was tasked with taking care of the exchange students from overseas.

She didn't have much choice as the original class lead was injured from falling off of her bicycle. Fracturing will take months to heal and there is no rushing of that. Li XinYun and the girl were close plus she was reputable within their class and so she had taken on the temporary responsibilities in helping the girl out.

Lo and behold, as soon as she had taken over the temporary role, the exchange students happened.

They were exchanging students with a prominent university from overseas and a total of 6 students had come. The counselor assigned her the responsibility partly because Li XinYun's foreign language was very good and had no problem communicating with English-speakers.

Li XinYun, after meeting with the foreign exchange students, was surprised to see two Asian faces among them. She just wasn't sure if they were Chinese.

She introduced herself fluently in foreign language and a cute-looking girl introduced herself in a very friendly manner in Chinese, "I am Liang AnQi. You can call me AnQi."

Liang AnQi gave Li XinYun a very sweet smile and said, "I have an instant fondness toward you. Can we be friends?"

Li XinYun was taken aback a little then, smiling, she said, "Of course we can."

The lead of the exchange student team was also Chinese. He grew up overseas and his Chinese name was Fan WenBai.

Li XinYun exchanged her contact information with them and took them on a tour of the campus. Liang AnQi was very affectionate toward her the entire time but Li XinYun felt that she had ulterior motives.

Besides, she was very mysterious. Liang AnQi grew up overseas just like Fan WenBai and was attending a prominent university. Her foreign language should be very fluent. Nevertheless, when Li XinYun spoke in foreign language specifically for the exchange students, Liang AnQi seemed to have trouble following.

Specifically, Liang AnQi looked completely lost when they talked about academic subjects.

Was that the level of a prominent university overseas?

Baffled, Li XinYun couldn't help but gripe about it to her mother when she got home.

Fang JunRong couldn't help but raise her brows when she heard the name Liang AnQi. Could it be the same Liang AnQi?

When she saw the group photos that XinYun had pulled up. Yup, that was her alright.

She had doubts about Liang AnQi's identity previously and now, listening to everything that XinYun had told her – how her foreign language was subpar and had a lack of technical knowledge in her area – all of them confirmed her original speculation.

Fang JunRong had read books on rebirth and transmigration. After all, she had experienced it herself and even invested in television shows on the subject. Now she was even more certain than before that Liang AnQi was a book transmigrator.

What Fang JunRong didn't know was which book she had transmigrated into. For sure it was not the one with Jiang YaGe as the protagonist.
