Chapter 170 - Li XinYun Didn't Think that What She Said Would Really Come True (1)

Fang JunRong was in a good mood.

She had met up with Zhang ZhiSu today and learned that both the White Jade Cream and Detoxification Pills had made it through clinical trials and into production. The first batch of White Jade Cream produced had already reached the hands of elderly veterans injured in the wars. Subsequent production of White Jade Cream would also be first provided for individuals falling in this category before they reached the marketing for general pubic once production has increased.

The ingredients for making the White Jade Cream were not expensive. The only limitation was yunying that was only available in her dimension.

After receiving her shares, Fang JunRong had a change of heart and also provided the method of growing yungying and qixing. After all, there was only so much she could do as one person. Growing these herbs need a lot of expensive gems and that would be the major bottleneck. It would be different on the country's part. It would be much easier for the country to get ahold of fancy gems than for it was for her.

Once she was home, she had an inkling and entered into her jadeite dimension.

Compared to before, visibility had improved greatly inside of the dimension. The mountains used to be surrounded by fog and clouds but not those were all gone, as though they had been wiped clean by a pair of invisible hands and their true form emerged.

At the foothill there were fields. Fang JunRong wasn't able to tell what was being grown from where she was due to the distance but the colorfulness of them stated that they were very unusual. A jade sash like river cordoned off the fields.

She checked out the stone tablet again. Originally, there were the formulas of Beautify Pills, Detoxification Pills, and White Jade Cream on there. She took a closer look on it and her lips twitched reflexively.

It had added a Hair Growing Cream on there. Its effects included thick and shiny hair. Similar to Beautify Pills, all of the ingredients could be found in the outside world except that she must use the spring water from the dimension.

Awesome! Now another popular product would be introduced by her company shortly. She recalled this very determined girl in college. As her hair started to turn dry and yellow and all other methods had failed, she finally cut all of her hair off and grew them back out from scratch. The effect wasn't half bad. The newly grown out hair was much better than what she used to have. That being said, very few people would adopt such an extreme method like her. This Hair Growing Cream could benefit many troubled by hair loss.

She jotted down the formula for the Hair Growing Cream and continued to stroll.

In the past, the area available to her was limited just to the peak. She could now reach the middle of the mountain. The foothill was out of the question for the time being. Meaning, she couldn't pick anything from the mystical field. It was only serving the purpose of being dangled in front of her.

She wasn't greedy, however. What she had was pretty good already. One must learn to be content.

In the middle of the mountain, there were some fruits in addition to the herb fields. Fruits that grew in the dimension must be mystical fruits.

Salivating at the peaches on the tree, she picked one, washed and bit into it.

The sweet taste immediately exploded on her tongue and it was so tasty that she wanted to swallow her own tongue with it. She had many different types of peaches before but none of them remotely measured up to these.

She felt cheery after she had finished one.

She tried all the different types of fruits available there and they were all equally good tasting.

Unfortunately, she could only provide these to those around her and wouldn't be able to grow them in the outside world. Emm, no, she could give that a try. She could very well try and see what would happen if she tried to plant these fruits in the outside world.

After so many pleasant surprises, she finally happily departed from the dimension.

Chapter 171 - Li XinYun Didn't Think that What She Said Would Really Come True (2)

She had given some thought to why the sudden change within the jadeite dimension. It seemed to have happened after Zhang ZhiSu had informed her that the White Jade Cream had been launched?

She pondered over it. If she went off of some television shows that she had watched before, these might be a reward for her good deeds?

***

Two days after she had exited the jadeite dimension, Fang JunRong received a message from Uncle Wang.

Uncle Wang was the butler of the Li's from the past. He had stayed with the Li's even after her father and mother-in-laws had passed away and took care of the ancestral hall. As much as Fang JunRong hated Li WangJin, her impression of Uncle Wang wasn't too bad.

In her previous life, Uncle Wang had tried to talk some sense into Li WangJin and Li ShiZe. But, as far as the two of them were concerned, he was just a servant and why would they ever listen to a servant?

She clicked over the message. It was a message that was full of regret. He said that he should not have mentioned what happened in the past in front of Li WangJin. That had caused Li WangJin to pass out from anger. After he was taken to the hospital, it was said that he was exhibiting signs of an early stroke.

It was obvious that he was anxious and what he said didn't make too much sense.

Fang JunRong gave it a little bit of thought and finally called to find out more details.

Even Fang JunRong was fairly speechless after founding out what had happened. Should she say that Wang SiEr was, after all, Jiang YaGe's mother? The two of them were so similar in some ways. One of them took the credits that belonged to someone else and became Li WangJin's white moonlight for decades. The other one stole her bracelet through her barbeque pork son and became a winner in life.

From what Uncle Wang had told her, her mother- and father-in-laws had sent others to talk to Li WangJin after the event. The person did not specifically mentioned Wang SiEr and only mentioned that Li WangJin was fine and was very appreciative of their help.

Fang JunRong greatly suspected that Wang SiEr had paid off this person as well.

It stood to reason that Li WangJin, being such a conceited person, would pass out from anger after learning that he had been fooled by Wang SiEr for so many years.

She never figured out in the past why Wang SiEr had never dated Li WangJin, a Second Generation Rich, in the past. That made no sense. Per the novel that she had read, Li WangJin had professed his love to her in the past but she had turned him down. Stating that she could not wrong her boyfriend and had successfully left Li WangJin with the impression that she was someone who wouldn't be moved by money. Now she finally figured out that Wang SiEr couldn't date Li WangJin because she had stolen money from him.

As much as Li WangJin was fond of her, he would undoubtedly bring her home to meet his parents at some point and what she had done might come to light. She didn't even attend her wedding with Li WangJin. Over the years, her husband had more contact with Li WangJin than she did. All the way until the day she died and she asked Li WangJin to take care of her daughter.

She had lost the whole watermelon by picking up the sesames.

Uncle Wang also told her that the doctor said Li WangJin's prognosis wasn't great and best if he could maintain a positive outlook on things. And that he couldn't afford to get upset again. He also has high blood pressure and that could potentially cause cerebral hemorrhage.

Knowing that he was in a bad shape made Fang JunRong happy.

As much as she hated Li WangJin and felt that he had brought everything onto himself, Fang JunRong still told her daughter about what was going on with him.

"You decide what's the best course of action. Just don't let him trick you again because he shows you his weak side," said Fang JunRong to Li XinYun. She knew that her daughter has a soft side.

Chapter 172 - Li XinYun Didn't Think that What She Said Would Really Come True (3)

She did not hide anything from Li XinYun. In fact, she even told her the entire story of how he ended up in the hospital, sparing no details. He wasn't worth it for her to hide anything for him. After all, in her previous life, he was able to just stand by when his daughter was killed and still kept on spoiling Jiang YaGe rotten.

She couldn't summon up a shred of compassion when she recalled all those. This lifetime, however, Li XinYun, without experiencing all those, might not hate Li WangJin as much as she did.

Li XinYun's lips moved. She felt that everything was so ludicrous. Everything about her father's life had turned into big joke. She couldn't say that she had a lot of compassion for him, though. Li WangJin's behaviors in the last few months had already destroyed all the feelings that she had for him in the past.

She finally said after a little while. "Let me go check on him and maybe hire someone to look after him."

That was the best that she could do. She didn't want to be the one to take care of him. If it was her mother who was hospitalized, she would for sure stay there 24/7. When it came to Li WangJin, she was being nice just to hire someone to look after him.

Pfft, pfft, pfft. How could she say that about her own mother? Of course her mother would live long and remain healthy.

As though she had completed with her assignment, she brought with her some fruits, hire a care-giver and went to visit her own father after Li WangJin was brought to a hospital in City S.

She was very nonchalant after the visit.

"You didn't have any conflict with him, did you?" asked Fang JunRong.

Li XinYun shook her head. "No. He values his life a lot so he really avoiding getting upset. Even though he is exhibiting early symptoms of a stroke, it isn't that bad. The doctor said if he takes care of himself, his prognosis isn't bad. So he looked calm." He must remain calm. This was not the kind of illness that one could get upset over.

What she didn't say was that Li WangJin had repeatedly expressed his regrets in front of him. He regretted that he had made a mistaken in reading people and yelled at her over Jiang YaGe. And that he finally learned that who truly cared about him.

Unfortunately, Li XinYun was not moved. At the end of the day, her father still loved himself the most. Would he have regretted had he not found out that Jiang YaGe's mother hand lied to him all these years? She didn't think so.

His belated apology seemed particularly fake in her eyes.

He even had a lawyer came and created a will right in front of her and expressed that he'd leave her with all of his assets and asked her to give him another chance.

Nevertheless, she felt that he was merely doing that to convince her. A will was, after all, something that could be changed on a whim. It would have appeared much more genuine had he transferred over his assets right now.

Not that Li XinYun really cared that much about who he was going to leave all of his assets too. That had nothing to do with her. She decided that there was no need to mention those to her mother.

Something occurred to her all of a sudden. "Speaking of, I saw Jiang YaGe and Li ShiZe heading toward the hospital on my way out.

"Does Li ShiZe hate him that much? Was his intention to aggravate him on purpose by bringing Jiang YaGe with him?" said Li XinYun with a serious look on her.

Fang JunRong's lips pursed a little and there was a hint of sarcasm in her almost undetectable smile. "Perhaps his intention was hoping that the two of them will make up."

After all, Jiang YaGe was like an angel in the eyes of her barbeque pork son. All he needed to do was to straighten things out some and Li WangJin would for sure forgive her about everything that had happened and treat her like his real daughter again.

Li XinYun couldn't help but said, "Seriously? I think more likely he'd hasten dad's death."

She even reminded them before she took off but Li ShiZe just brushed it off as Li XinYun being petty and could not bear if anything good was to happen to Jiang YaGe. He further said that he was sure their father would not be like her and their mother.

That was so ridiculous. Her brother had acted like someone with a curse placed on him ever since he had met Jiang YaGe. She had never pegged him as the type who'd lose his mind when he was in love.

Jiang YaGe, at the same time, also weakly expressed that her mother had her reasons for doing that and that she was there to clear up the misunderstanding. Li XinYun was so disgusted by her that she could puke right then and there.

Li XinYun didn't mean what she said but what she said had, indeed, came true.
