Chapter 153 - He Will Never Sell His Son to an Old Woman! (1)

Even though Li WangJin and Fang JunRong had already been divorced but men all have this terrible tendency. In the deepest part of his mind, Fang JunRong was still his. In fact, he has the suspicious that she was still in love with him. Why else would she hate him that much?

As such, when he saw Fang JunRong being close to another man, he suddenly felt that something that belonged to him was coveted by someone else.

Watching this scene through gritted teeth, his veins were about to pop out from his forehead.

He walked briskly over to Fang JunRong and said with deep hatred, "You shameless woman!"

Fang JunRong was chatting happily when she heard the voice that displeased her. Turning her head, she found Li WangJin there staring at her with fury coming out of his eyes. She just found that ludicrous. Whatever made him feel that he has the right to go and say that in front of her?

She wiped away the smile on herself and, with a cold look, mocked. "Ah, it's Boss Li. Long time no see."

Li WangJin, after being kicked off of that spot against his wish, hated that being brought up. Fang JunRong was doubtless using that to get to him. "You... you..."

Fang JunRong sneered. "You were the one who cheated on me while we were still married. What gave you the idea that you can walk in front of me and said what you just said? Exactly who do you think you are? You should look in the mirror and really think about what kind of a person you are."

She voice wasn't too loud or too soft but just enough for those around her to be able to hear her.

Many of them looked over and looked at Li WangJin as though they were looking at an idiot.

Li WangJin felt uncomfortable all over. With his cheating being brought up, he felt that had put him in a weaker spot immediately. Suddenly thinking about Li XinYun, he acted like he had a trump card all of a sudden. "This boy toy is not that much older than ShiZe and XinYun. Have you ever considered that this might make her look bad?"

Fang JunRong was already a mother of two. This was so shameless to have a little fresh meat his age by her side.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.

Fang JunRong gave him a look and realized that Li WangJin had misunderstood her relationship with Jiang DeXian. "XinYun wouldn't mind. She's a very understanding child, unless someone else that we know."

As for Li ShiZe, she couldn't care less what he thought.

"The age different between the two of you is too big." Li WangJin had no choice but to fixate on their ages.

Jiang DeXian, who had remained silent this entire time, chimed in, "It's my pleasure to be picked by her."

Li WangJin was furious. He gave the boy toy a disgusted stare and didn't want to admit that he was even more handsome than him when he was his age.

"It's fine. It isn't like you can tell from our looks." Fang JunRong paused before she added. "Lucky we are divorced now; otherwise, others might think that we are father and daughter when we stand next to each other."

After all, she still looked young and beautiful. And, as for Li WangJin, he used to be good at maintaining himself and could still be considered as charming. Unfortunately, after the divorce, he had run into a series of obstacles. In particularly as of late, when he was beaten down by reality of his debts. He even had more white hair than he did before. The differences between the two of them were drastic.

Li WangJin's finger that was pointing at Fang JunRong was shaking, mainly from anger.

Jiang DeXian said the sharpest words with a friendly look on him. "If you don't feel well, Boss Li. I urge you to get a checkup at the hospital. What you have looked like the symptoms of a stroke that I had read about in books before. You must take good care of yourself at your age."

Fang JunRong almost laughed out loud and rated Jiang DeXian highly in her mind immediately. Excellent. Just for that fact that he had irritated Li WangJin so much, she decided to pay him an extra bonus!

She gave Jiang DeXian a very satisfied look.

Li WangJin balled his hands into fists and wanted to run up there and give him a good beating. At that very moment in time, Jiang DeXian had surpassed many to take the spot of his top spot of his number one enemy.

Zhang Bi walked up, put his hand over Li WangJin's shoulder and stopped him.

He said in a low voice. "If you make a scene here, I am going to toss you out."

The invitation there didn't come easily. He didn't want to offend Zhang ZhiSu, the host, because Li WangJin made a scene.

Li WangJin calmed down immediately. "I won't."

He'd lose all his face if he was to be thrown out from there. He turned around and walked away quickly without giving Fang JunRong another look.

Zhang Bi nodded slightly at Fang JunRong and gave her an apologetic look.

Fang JunRong couldn't be bothered by him and carried on eating her cookies.

After a couple more, she looked up at Jiang DeXian and said to him. "That was a pretty good job on our part." He chimed in at just the perfect moment and worked very well with her.

"I had wanted to be an actor once and had always rehearsed different scenes in my head," said Jiang DeXian as though he was explaining to her why he was able to excel there.

Fang JunRong chuckled and said, "Very well then."

If Jiang DeXian was still interested in acting, she could very well contact a couple friends of hers in the entertainment circle and have him audition for some suitable roles. Even if he couldn't act, he'd be able to play himself with that look of his.

On the other side, Li WangJin, who walked away from Fang JunRong, suppressed his anger and put on a friendly smile. Walking next to Zhang Bi, he planned to take this opportunity to meet others and build his network.

It'd be even better if he could find someone who'd be willing to work with him. He suspected that the Beautify Pills's formula was incomplete and they were missing one key ingredient. If he was able to find another partner and, given enough time, he'd be able to figure that missing ingredient.

What upset him even more was that the few individuals that he wanted to network with all snubbed him and a few of them even took a page from Fang JunRong's book and purposefully referred to him as President Li.

After only half an hour, he understood what a cold world it was that he lived in and was disheartened by how quickly these people would flip to the other side.

One couldn't really fault these individuals too much. Any one with half a brain could see that Li WangJin was done for. He was at least the President of Ayron in the past and many would at least show him some respect because of that. Now he was just a shareholder, and one that the others wanted to shunt at that. He certainly wasn't someone that one would want to be associated with.

Zhang Bi wasn't too happy about that either. He felt that he, too was getting no respect from the others. Li WangJin was, after all, a guest of his.

If he was the housemaster of the Zhang's, he'd definitely made his point on this. But he wasn't even a heir right now. Not to mention the big setback that he had just suffered over the Cherry Blossom Pills. His status was not steady right now and he really couldn't afford to offend any of these individuals. He had no choice but to swallow his pride. Even the invitation to this event he had to get it through Zhang ZhiYang, a cousin of Zhang ZhiSu.

He still has his pride and couldn't stand the cold looks from the others so he walked over and sat in a corner.

This was supposed to be a lively banquet but Zhang Bi and Li WangJin were like the loser alliance who were unable to blend in.

Zhang Bi recalled some rumors that he had picked up earlier and said to Li WangJin, "I've heard that one of Gaoyuan Corporation's major stockholder will be here today. If you can butter up to her, that ought to be helpful for us."

Li WangJin spirit was lifted a little and his ears perked up some.

Zhang Bi and Li WangJin cheered each other on like two animals who were huddling together for warmth. Within this very short and brief moment, the two of them had put aside their differences and seemed to have found a shred of what they used to share.

After a little while, someone finally walked over to them.

Noticing who it was, Zhang Bi's smile deepened. "Ah, it's Boss Li."

This Boss Li, through his marriage, was able to get his hand onto a small portion of Gaoyuan's stock. He came today to check out who the new stockholder was and whether she was easy to get along. With the exception of the portion that was controlled by the government, this new stockholder has the most shares. Many was curious about her.

He smiled and said, "It' has been a while, Young Master Zhang."

His voice was low, "I've heard some rumor that the new stockholder that we are going to meet today is a woman."

Zhang Bi knew that already but he played along nonetheless. "What do you know about her?"

Boss Li thought about it some and added, "I've heard that she was divorced so I assumed she is a capable person. I am not used to networking with women either. Someone who's young and personable like Young Master Zhang would do a much better job than me."

That was the real reason that Boss Li had walked over. He wanted them to be the first to go up and find out more about what kind of a person this new stockholder was.

The subtext in the words made Zhang Bi's face stiffened. As much as he was willing to lower is stance for the purpose of networking, that did not mean that he was willing to use his body that way.

Boss Li walked away after his intention was made clear.

Zhang Bi turned to Li WangJin and said, "I've heard that your son is very good looking. Possibly better looking than some stars?"

Now it was Li WangJin's turn to twitch his lips. He couldn't possibly sell his own son out to an old woman! Being able to rise to her status, she must not be very young. Thinking of that, he couldn't help but shuddered in disgust.

Zhang Bi said nonchalantly, "Just think about your debts. Unless you want to sell all of your shares to pay them off."

Li WangJin's body stiffened. If he was to get to that point...

At 7:30 PM, Zhang ZhiSu appeared in front of everyone. Compared to all of the others who were in suit, he was in a cyan colored traditional garb. Like a bamboo in a dense forest, he appeared to be very personable. When he walked downstairs, many people's eyes widened in shock.

They have all heard through the vines that Zhang ZhiSu were handicapped and had a very slim chance of recovery. He did not look like someone who had been injured from the elegant way that he was walking right now. Did that mean the news that they have heard in the past was incorrect?

Fang JunRong, too, was surprised. She knew that the White Jade Cream would be effective but not this effective. Or perhaps his injury wasn't as severe as she had thought?

Under everyone's attention, Zhang ZhiSu walked on front of Fang JunRong and, with a hint of a smile on him, he reached out his hand. "May I have the honor for the first dance?"

He was very appreciative of what Fang JunRong had done for him. If it wasn't the two bottles of pills that she had sent over, he just might be wheelchair-bound for life. Especially the Detoxification Pills, it allowed him to realize that someone intended to poison him and he was able to eliminate a few spies that were planted next to him.

Everybody was shocked.

As the host, Zhang ZhiSu leading with the first dance was only normal but nobody expected that his dance partner would be Fang JunRong. Nobody ever knew that these two had anything to do with each other in the past and were completely unrelated.

As much as everyone was stunned, it was just a dance. It didn't take long for everyone to calm down.

Fang JunRong paused for a little, her lips curved upward, and she said, "Alright."

It was just a dance. Not a big deal. She, too, was very calm.

Li WangJin was the one who wasn't calm. He was already annoyed when he saw Fang JunRong with that boy toy. And now she was dancing with Zhang ZhiSu? This was torturous to him.

He had no idea when had Fang JunRong befriended Zhang ZhiSu. She had kept that in the downlow for so long that she had never pulled that string.

He had visited Fang JunRong's Uncle Zhang with her before in the past. But the two families weren't never very close. Not to mention that Uncle Zhang, albeit being Zhang ZhiSu 's uncle, was not considered part of the main branch of the Zhang's.

He dared not offend Zhang ZhiSu so he had no choice but to watch the handsome man and the beautiful woman dancing to the music.

Did he really have to have his son butter up to the major stockholder?

His face was very colorful and there were a lot of inner battles within him.

After the dance, Zhang ZhiSu dropped a bomb lightly. "The purpose of this banquet today is to introduce our newest stockholder, Fang JunRong."

And everybody there was shocked.

The music stopped and only silence remained. Under everybody's look, Fang JunRong nodded slightly, her face under the light was so delicate she looked like an art piece sculpted by God.

There were sounds of glass shattering. Both Li WangJin and Zhang Bi were so shocked that they've dropped their wine glasses.
