"Have a pleasant day, young master." Xiao Bai nodded and smiled at uncle Nan and proceeded inside.

While walking towards the peace and tranquility room, many seniors and fellow freshmen greeted him. 'So this is how it feels to be famous, huh?' He thought. He never experienced being one anyway so the feeling is rather foreign.

From a few distance he saw XuWei sitting lazily the chinese scholar tree just a few distance from the room. Ruo lan was also beside him, but instead of being relaxed he seemed to be thinking of something. Xiao Bai ran towards them and greeted them good morning.

XuWei opened his eyes, "Good morning!"

Ruo lan, "Good morning Master Wang, I—how's ming xue?"

Xiao bai also sat down beside XuWei, "Ming xue is fine. He's not that weak. He'll wake up later...Oh you could come over to visit as well."

The three of them was about to go when Wenshu stopped Xiao Bai, "Student Wang and student Qin, please remain. I have something to discuss with you two."

XuWei and xiao bai remained to their position and Ruo Lan returned. Yang wenshu approached them, "Do you know what I want to discuss with the both of you?"

XuWei and xiao bai innocently looked at each other then back at Yang wenshu, "No we don't teacher yang." Xiao Bai answered.

Yang wenshu sighed, "Did the two of you really think that I didn't saw what happened yesterday?"

Xiao bai and xuwei guiltily lowered their heads, "We're sorry teacher Yang." XuWei was the one who answered this time since it was his fault in the first place.

Yang wenshu, "Duels like that are normal in here. I could also see that student ming's injury is not that serious.The both of you are new so you probably don't know. What I want to know is that, why do student Qin need to lie about student ming getting sick?"

Xiao bai was organizing his things when Xuwei tugged his sleeves, "Wang bai, do you have the school's map?"

Xiao bai, " I think I have it in here...." He searched then fished out the map and gave it to Xuwei.

Xuwei studied the map and returned it, "The orchid room was located at the northern part of the academy."

Xiao bai, "Northern part. It's where the Lotus cove was right?"

Xuwei nodded and stood up. Xiao bai also followed suite and they left so they could come back immediately. The peace and tranquility room was somewhere in the north western part so it was in the middle of the two legendary areas. And the trip was not that long. When they arrived, what greeted them were lotuses all in full bloom. All the colors of the lotus flowers are surprisingly here! White, pink, yellow, red, purple, and blue. Each and every one are smiling at them in full sophistication and grace.

Xuwei gave a side glance to him and chuckled. Xiao bai also came to his senses and faked a cough then they continued to walk.

When they arrived they we're greeted by the secretary. It seems like the president went out to go to the Heavenly Academies Alliance because of an emergency and will be back in a few days.

Xiao Bai and xuwei left, upon walking by the cove xuwei went near to the cove. Xiao bai just stared at xuwei leaning on the pond and picked a rare lotus, the tips of it's petals are blue but it was slowly fading to white downwards. It was not fully bloomed so the center is slightly closed.

Xuwei happily gaved it to xiao bai. He was supposed to give a red one since it symbolizes love but he didn't know what came to his mind that the one he picked suites xiao bai the most.

The lotus flowers have a deeper meaning in Buddhism. Like the color red that represents love and compassion, the other colors also have their own meanings and symbolism. The lotus that he gave to xiao bai was a very unique and accurate one.

Xuwei explaines the meaning of lotus' colors, "Color white is usually a symbol of purity, innocence, spiritual perfection, heaven, goodness, illumination and faith.

Color blue symbolizes depth, inspiration, sincerity, confidence and wisdom. Color blue also symbolizes tranquility and rest."

Xiao bai, of course, knew the meanings as well. But he felt like it was missing something. He just pushed it in the back of his mind and reached out to the flower, "Thanks. I think this really was meant for me."

Xuwei, " Yes. Your name also means purity and monarch. The white lotus means the same while the blue color means wisdom, sincerity, and confidence like a monarch."

The both of them laughed at this coincidence. Or maybe it was fate?

While going back on the front gate to get lunch, xiao bai was staring at the lotus he was holding, also caressing it from tine to time..

Xiao bai finished his lunch, Yifan also informed him that Ming xue woke up earlier and just went to sleep to regain his energy. Xiao bai nodded to him and ordered him to take the lotus with him and put it in a vase and place it on the table on his room.

He also reminded Yifan to go shopping while he was still at school so when he arrive home, he could just go straight to the kitchen and cook dinner.

After that, xiao bai was preoccupied the whole period because of the flower xuwei gave him.

Xiao bai invited xuwei and ruo lan to just take a ride with home since the carriage is big enough.

Earlier when they go out, they noticed that xuwei and ruo lan's ride didn't arrived yet so they waited a bit. But instead of the carriage a pigeon landed to Ruo lan's arm. He untied the letter on it's feef and read the note.

Ruo lan went nead to xuwei and said in a low voice, " Young master. It seems that his high—I mean your father was in the market with our ride."

Xuwei just sighed and went xiao bai, "Our carriage was abducted by someone. Is it okay if we ride with you?"

Xiao bai, "Sure no problem. Hop in." He invited them inside. Xuwei was on the other side while Ruo lan joined Uncle nan in the front to chat a little.  And they set off.

Xuwei, "You seem to be preoccupied since lunch break, what wrong?"

Xiao bai shaked his head, "Something about the flower is bothering me."

Xuwei, " Flower. The lotus I gave you?" Xiao bai hummed and nodded, "Are you that touched?"

Xiao bai didn't give ang respond and his spacing out once again. Xiao bai just chuckled and let him have his own space..When a few minutes later Xiao bai said, "I finally knew what's bothering me."

Xuwei immediately straighten up and ask, " What?"

Xiao bai let out a low laugh, "The flower you gave me is indeed very accurate." The explanation of colors you gave earlier are only the most basic meaning. The blue color of the lotus is indeed depth, inspiration, sincerity, confidence and wisdom. But there's one more. To Egyptians, blue lotus flower represented rebirth. It was fascinating to them how the lotus flower retracted its flowers during the night and opened up the petals in the morning. As soon as the sun would rise, the lotus flower would open up its petals and invite new life into his soul. Does xuwei know his secret? It shouldn't be, they didn't know egypt exist yet. Was it a coincidence?

Xiao bai, "Xuwei why do you picked that of all the the other flowers blooming fully and vibrantly beside it?"

Xuwei shrugged, "I don't know. It's just that when I went to the pond it looks like it was calling out my attention. You see, among the pink lotuses and red lotuses around it, it was the only one who has a tinted blue color. It looks to lonely and seems to out of place, it seems like man outsider, so picked it up , not that it destroys the beauty of the overall view but it was like it deserved better."

Xiao bai smiled in appreciation, "Thank you." Xiao bai knew to himself that xuwei doesn't know anything but the way he said those words are comforting him inside. Yes, he was that lotus. A pure, knowledgeable and rebirthed lotus. A lotus that was different and a lotus that doesn't belong to this place. However someone was willing to pick him out instead of those other beautiful and vibrant lotuses and say that he deserves better. Before he knew ir, he was opening more to this person each day.
