Blake struggles to keep up with Adam's strikes as she fights him by a destroyed Atlas gunship. Yang is watching the two fight, paralyzed by her own fear to fight Adam again. Blake uses her semblance to evade being hit by Adam until gains enough energy to his sword and uses his Semblance to slash it at the real Blake. Blake blocks the attack but it slices Gambol Shroud and sends her flying from him. The broken weapon clatters a few feet away from Blake.

Adam walks to her but then stops to remove the blindfold from his eyes.

Adam: People hurt me long before we met... All sorts of people in all sorts of ways...

Blake looks away sadly upon hearing this.

Adam: ... but no one hurt me quite like you...

Blake looks back up to Adam as she sees his own eyes: his right eye a healthy blue eye, his left eye scarred permanently with a brand labeled "SDC".

Adam: You didn't leave scars, you just left me alone. And I'll make you pay.

He kicks Blake onto her back and steps on her chest with his sword ready to stab her. Blake struggles to get his boot off her but she is too tired and weak now. Adam looks at her with anger.

Adam: Goodbye Blake

Blake's eyes widen as he lunges his blade but he then gets punched in the face and sent a few feet away from her. Blake quickly gets up on her knees and sees Yang with red eyes, breathing heavily.

Blake: Yang...

Adam gets back up quickly and growls.

Adam: Wish to settle our unfinished business now? What was your name again? Yang?

Yang readies the shotgun setting on her prosthetic arm and Ember Celica.

Yang: Blake, take a breath for a moment. I'll handle him.

Adam: She's right, Blake. Once I'm done with her, you'll need some of your strength back.

Yang and Adam stare each other down. Adam makes the first move, delivering a series of quick slashes and Semblance arcs that knock Yang back a short distance. Eventually, Yang starts to strike back, managing to land some hits on Adam that he wasn't able to block.

Yang knocks Adam back a good distance before firing at him. He blocks and absorbs the shots with his sword. Adam then quickly runs in circles around Yang before letting out another Semblance attack that causes Yang to slide back a short distance.

Blake: His Semblance is like yours! He absorbs energy through his sword, stores it up and then sends it back when he's ready.

Yang: He gets to dish out damage without having to feel it? *sighs* That's just cheap...

The two proceed to trade blows again. Yang lands a series of punches and kicks on Adam, but he manages to send her back when she punches his sword. Yang gets knocked back next to Blake and the two share a glance with each other. Adam notices this and lets out an angered growl. He readies his Semblance once again.

Blake: YANG!!

With a loud yell, Adam lets out a devastating attack with his Semblance. When the smoke clears, Yang is still standing, though her prosthetic arm has some small scratches in it. She lowers her arm and glares at Adam.

Yang: Leave. Us. Alone. This is your last chance.

Adam stares back at the two as he grips the hilt of his sword again. Yang's left arm trembles slightly.

Adam: Heh, do you really believe that? Or are you just trying to scare me away so you won't have to die trying to protect her?

Yang, angered, prepares to fight him again despite her hand still trembling. Suddenly, Blake takes Yang's hand with her own.

Blake: She's not protecting me, Adam. And I'm not protecting her.

Adam glares back at the two of them angrily.

Blake: We're protecting each other.

The two hold hands as they stare at Adam. Adam grits his teeth for a moment before smirking.

Adam: You knew you couldn't win two-on-one at Haven. What makes you so sure you can win now?

Blake: I don't have a choice. I have people who actually care about me, and I promised I'd never leave them again. So I'm not dying now.

Yang smiles at her partner's words before glaring back at Adam.

(Note: Partner as in school partner)

Adam: You know, she made a promise to me once. That she'd always be at my side. Heh, and look how well she's kept it.

Yang: Did she make that promise to you? Or to the person you were pretending to be?

Adam is quiet for a moment.

Adam: So I just wasn't good enough for you?

Blake: You know it's so much more than that.

Adam: I know you've made your choice... and I've made mine.

The three combatants then take defensive stances as they resume their battle. Blake and Yang rush forward together. The two of them work together to strike at Adam with a series of back and forth blows and slashes. Blake grabs the bottom portion of her broken Gambol Shroud katana and throws it at Adam, but he deflects it back at her. Yang notices this and grabs the pistol and uses the ribbon to swing Blake around. Blake uses her cleaver to clash with Adam's sword, but he sends her flying back. Blake crashes through a weakened airfield wall overlooking the ocean, depleting her aura. She flips and barely grabs onto a newly made edge.

Yang: Blake!

She then turns around and angrily glares at Adam.

Adam: Moment of truth, Yang. Do you think you're faster than you were at Beacon?

This causes Yang to gasp and tremble slightly. Adam notices this and chuckles.

Adam: Me neither.

Adam rushes forward. Yang manages to dodge most of his attacks, but she is then knocked to the ground.

Adam: Your Aura's bound to be running low.

Yang pants for breath as Adam angrily grunts at her. Meanwhile, Blake struggles to climb up.

Adam: Hit me already!

Yang dodges.

Adam: What does she even see in you?!!

(An actual friend)

Yang gets knocked back. Blake continues her climb.

Adam: You're just a coward like her!!

Adam unleashes an attack with his Semblance toward Yang. However, at the last second, Yang's eyes turn red. The attack hits Yang, creating a cloud of dust. Adam rushes forward and swings his sword down.

When the dust clears, Adam looks in shock as Yang has caught his sword with her prosthetic hand. Her hair burns bright, activating her Semblance.

Yang: Gotcha...

Yang then cocks her left arm's Ember Celica. She pulls Adam toward her and punches him hard enough to disarm him and send him flying back. The force of the attack depletes Adam's Aura. Adam stands back up and tries to fight again, only to realize his sword is missing. Yang still has it in her hand.

Yang: I may not be faster...

Her own Aura depletes.

Yang: ... but I'm smarter.

Yang then throws Wilt over into the ocean.

Adam: No!!

Adam fails to reach his sword in time as he watches it fall. Suddenly, Blake reappears and uppercuts Adam as she jumps back on to the airfield. Adam stumbles backward. Suddenly, he notices one half of Gambol Shroud's katana on the ground. He and Blake rush forward to pick it up, but Blake grabs it before he can. Yang then runs forward and grabs the broken blade of Gambol Shroud. Both girls then impale Adam from the front and back, each with a piece of Blake's weapon simultaneously. Adam looks down at his bleeding chest as he twitches.

Adam: Oh...

Blake and Yang both pull their blades out and watch Adam stumble towards the edge of the airfield. He falls to his knees and his eyes start to roll back. He slumps forward and falls off the airfield and into the water and disappears into it.

Blake then falls to her knees and begins to break down into tears. Yang tears up as well and walks over to Blake and kneels down to hug her.

Blake: I... I am not going to break my promise, I swear.

Yang: I know you won't.

The two girls continue to embrace as Blake continues to sob.

(So in the end, Adam is dead just like his show counterpart (or is he? Hmmm). Now, don't think I'm gonna have Bumblebee be a thing in this story! I'm just gonna have Yang and Blake just be close(er) friends..... Maybe)

The two then hear an explosion. They break off their hug and notice how bad the rest of the battle was going as Oscar dodges a strike from Salem and quickly grabs the Relic from her before he is sent flying away and knocked out by Salem. Reaper and Circe simultaneously kick Salem's knees before Salem yells out in anger. Salem sends out a shockwave that sends Reaper and Circe back. Salem looks at Circe and walks towards her daughter.

Salem: I'm disappointed Circe. After all this time of observing from the sidelines, I would have thought you would know that you can't beat me. Nobody can.

Circe pants as she gets back on her knees. She smiles as Salem approaches.

Circe: I don't know, I might find something that can leave a scar.

Salem chuckles.

Salem: You certainly are stubborn.

Circe: I get it from my parents.

Salem smiles.

Salem: Clearly.

Salem blasts Circe with an electric charge that knocks her out.

Reaper: Circe!

They then hear a loud roar. Reaper and Salem look to see a Leviathan coming out of the water and walks straight for the city.

Reaper: Ugh, come on!!

Salem: Hmm... I wasn't expecting a Leviathan to show up. Must be the Relic.

Reaper looks at Salem as the mountain by the base opens up and a giant mech, piloted by Cordovin, walks out of it.

Reaper: Yes!

Salem looks at all the injured and unconscious members of Reaper's group and smiles.

Salem: I think I have shown what I can do to your group. If they're smart, they will go home now. Goodbye Reaper.

Salem walks away from Reaper, she looks at Circe and frowns in sadness before teleporting away. Reaper runs over to Circe and kneels down next to her and checks her pulse, which he feels. He sighs in relief before looking at Ruby on the ground holding her gut in pain with Yang sitting next to her while Blake helps Ren and Nora back up. Jaune is healing Pyrrha from Salem's fire blast from earlier. Oscar groans and holds his head as he sits up, he then smirks as he looks at his hand to see he has the Relic. Reaper offers him a hand to get back up. Oscar takes it and stands back up and watches the giant Atlas Mech fires at the Leviathan before charging with a drill hand.

The Leviathan shoots a flame blast at the mech that sends it back and the two giants stare off. The Atlas Mech aims its cannon arm and fires a volley of dust missiles at the Leviathan and the Grimm charges forward at the Mech. Cordovin fires a beam from the arm cannon while readying to use the drill to finish the Leviathan. However, the Leviathan weathers the shot and gets too close to the mech. Cordovin lunges the mech's drill at the Leviathan only for the Grimm to react fast enough to grab and deflect the attack.

Cordovin: What?!

The Leviathan snarls and roars as Cordovin tries to aim the arm cannon. The giant Grimm uses it's free hand to grab the cannon before it could properly aim and fires a continuous fire stream at its shoulder. Soon the shields buckle and the fire burns straight through the metal, disconnecting the arm from the Mech. The Leviathan then shoves the Atlas Mech down towards the water.

The giant Grimm then stomps on the mech, forcing it to submerge under the water. It then continues walking to the city as Atlas force fields are activated. The monster fires at the shields and the fire stream trails the shield until it hits one of the generators and causes it to explode, knocking out one set of force fields. Some of the remaining Atlas gunships fire missiles at the Leviathan but they do nothing but make it madder.

Oscar: It's heading straight for Argus! And the mech is down!!

Reaper: I have eyes Oscar!

Oscar runs over to Ruby and helps her sit up. He also gives her the Relic.

Jaune: Well what are we going to do!? My sister and nephew is in Argus!

Pyrrha groans and sits up weakly.

Pyrrha: And my... family is there too.

(Right, never mentioned them in this story.)

Reaper looks at the Leviathan as it fires at the second set of force fields. He then looks at Ruby, who raises her eyebrow.

Reaper: Ruby, have you and Maria had a chance to talk about your eyes.

Ruby: Yeah, just before Oscar ran off! I see what you're thinking!! But...

Ruby stands up and groans.

Ruby: I don't know how to activate my laser eyes.

Maria whacks Ruby in the head with her cane.

Maria: I told you to stop thinking that way!

Ruby: Sorry.

Maria: And as for how to use your eyes. You need to think about your happiest moments and your desire to protect others!

Ruby sighs and looks at the Leviathan as it destroys the last line of force fields and starts to head into the city! Her eyes widen before looking at Weiss as she just wakes up from being knocked out. She then straightens her hat and looks at Weiss with determined eyes.

Ruby: Weiss! I'll need a ride!

Weiss takes a moment to process what's going on before nodding as they hear screams from the city's populace.
